Chapter Sixty-Five: Short Selling

Ye Feng walked to his desk, picked up the phone, and quickly issued a series of instructions: "Close all long positions in Shengshi Entertainment and go short!"

Liu Qingyi was shocked: "You...you're crazy? The market is so bullish right now, and you're actually shorting it?"

Ye Feng hung up the phone, his eyes icy: "I'm not crazy, I'm just doing what I believe is right."

“I did make some mistakes before, placing too much faith in so-called market consensus and ignoring the possibility of manipulation. This time, I will not make the same mistakes again.”

After saying that, he looked at Liu Qingyi, and his tone suddenly changed.

"It's 1 a.m., wanna grab some late-night snacks?"

Liu Qingyi nestled on the sofa, nodding wearily, "Okay, I want to eat grilled fish."

Ye Feng raised an eyebrow, "It's so late, aren't you afraid of gaining weight?"

Liu Qingyi rolled her eyes at him: "Just this once."

She stood up, picked up her coat, walked to Ye Feng's side, and gently took his arm. "Let's go."

Ye Feng did not refuse and let her take his arm.

Half an hour later, the two were sitting in a grilled fish restaurant on the street.

Their attire clashed with the atmosphere of the grilled fish restaurant.

Liu Qingyi has a good appetite.

Ye Feng glanced at the messages on his phone from time to time.

"Still thinking about Shengshi Entertainment?" Liu Qingyi picked up a piece of fish and put it in his bowl. "Stop thinking about it, eat the fish."

Ye Feng smiled, picked up a piece of fish and put it in his mouth: "I can't help it, it's an occupational hazard."

After having a late-night snack, the two drove back to Liu Qingyi's villa.

The night was quiet, and the lights in the villa swayed slightly.

...

The next morning, Ye Feng arrived at the company very early.

A knock on the door broke the silence.

"Come in."

Zhang Chen pushed open the door and entered, holding a tablet computer in his hand, his tone unusually excited: "President Ye, Shengshi Entertainment's stock price hit the daily limit on opening!"

Ye Feng turned around, in a good mood: "As expected."

"Should we release it now?" Zhang Chen asked.

Ye Feng walked to the sofa and sat down, pondering for a moment: "No, wait a little longer. I estimate there are three more limit-up days, and I'll sell on the second-to-last limit-up day."

Zhang Chen nodded: "Understood. Also, the silver team has successfully established a position and currently holds a large amount of spot silver."

"Okay, let's halt further operations for now and observe for a while," Ye Feng instructed.

"Okay, Mr. Ye."

After Zhang Chen finished speaking, he turned and left.

Ye Feng's gaze fell on the window, his thoughts racing.

The profits from selling Shengshi Entertainment are just the first step. The real test lies in how to handle this huge sum of money and the subsequent investment strategy.

He plans to repurchase Shengshi Entertainment at the appropriate time, but must proceed with caution to avoid attracting unnecessary attention.

In the long run, establishing a professional fund management company and recruiting top talent is the key to expanding scale and improving management level.

He wants to rebuild his own business empire, one that is stronger and more unbreakable than before.

On the other side, Su Hao habitually flipped through financial news, a slight smile playing on his lips.

The A-share market is booming, and the stocks he invested in a few days ago are performing well. Everything is going according to plan.

"Hey, Mr. Su, in a good mood?" A slightly deep voice broke the silence.

Su Hao looked up and saw his friend Yuwen standing at the restaurant entrance with a gloomy expression.

Why that expression? Anyone who didn't know better would think you lost money on your investments.

Yuwen Shi forced a bitter smile and sat down opposite Su Hao.

"You're absolutely right. I've lost a lot of money in both the A-share and foreign exchange markets recently."

Su Hao put down his coffee, his eyes turning serious: "What happened? Tell me."

“Sigh, don’t even mention it,” Yuwen Shi sighed. “The market has been too volatile lately, and several projects have failed. The worst part is that kid Wu Zhenglei…”

"Wu Zhenglei? What happened to him?"

Wu Zhenglei was introduced to Yuwen Shi by him, and was later recruited into Yuwen Shi's investment team.

"That kid, thinking he was so clever, changed my investment strategy without my permission. Not only did he sell his tech stocks too early, but he also bought them back at the peak, and the result was..."

Yuwen Shi slammed his hand on the table and stood up angrily.

Su Hao frowned.

This is a difficult situation.

Wu Zhenglei's mistake not only caused his close friend a great loss, but more importantly, it affected the trust between them.

Thinking of this, he said, "Old Yu, this matter is indeed tricky. I didn't expect Wu Zhenglei to be so impulsive. How about this, I'll take you to see how my team operates, and also show you our recent investment situation."

Yuwen Shi raised his head, his tone slightly displeased: "This..."

"Don't worry, I'm not trying to show off," Su Hao said sincerely, noticing his concern. "I just want you to understand my team and my operating methods, which might be helpful to you."

Inside the trading room, Su Hao's team members were intently focused on their computer screens.

While explaining their operational procedures and risk control measures to Yuwen Shi, Su Hao also showed Yuwen Shi the team's recent profit data, letting the actual performance speak for itself.

Finally, Su Hao opened his private account and showed Yuwen Shi the profits from the past few days.

"Look, my profits in the last few days have reached 30%, which proves that my strategy is effective."

Yuwen Shi stared in shock at the striking numbers on the screen.

Su Hao then retrieved the operation records from the past three months.

Yuwen Shi couldn't help but exclaim.

"A master! A true master!"
