Chapter 148 Drunkenness

Yan Zhi smiled faintly and nodded slightly, not revealing anything.

Grandma Leng sighed, didn't ask any more questions, and took Yan Zhi's hand: "Zhizhi, go upstairs and rest first. I'll have Aunt Wu call you when dinner is ready."

"Okay," Yan Zhi replied obediently and meekly.

Leng Linli got into the car, dialed a number, and the other party's voice came through: "Missing your brother?"

Leng Linli said in a deep voice, "Come out and fight."

"Busy," Lu Jinchuan replied directly on the other end of the phone.

Upon hearing this, Lu Jinchuan immediately realized that Leng Linli's voice was off. In this state, if he were to fight Leng Linli, wouldn't he be a complete traitor?

"Even if you're busy, make time for it." Leng Linli commanded.

Lu Jinchuan frowned: "So much hostility?"

"What's it to you?" Leng Linli said coldly.

Lu Jinchuan laughed, "I don't want to get involved, but you shouldn't come looking for me either..."

"You can only spoil your own brother, right?" Lu Jinchuan asked. "I happen to have a get-together here, is it okay if we go drinking?"

After a long silence, Leng Linli said, "Fine."

It was Lu Jinchuan's turn to be surprised: "Don't you not drink?"

"Enough with the nonsense," Leng Linli said.

Lu Jinchuan raised an eyebrow: "...I've sent you the address."

Leng Linli gave a curt "hmm" and hung up the phone.

Lu Jinchuan sent a location message.

Leng Linli put away his phone, started the engine, and stepped on the gas to leave the old house.

In the VIP suite, Leng Linli sat, fuming and angry. He neither socialized nor spoke, his face sour and cold. No one dared to provoke him, as if a great Buddha had been invited to sit there.

No... it's not the Buddha. The Buddha looks much more kind and benevolent than him.

"Hey, who's offended our young master Leng?" Lu Jinchuan casually plopped down next to Leng Linli and crossed his legs.

Leng Linli glanced at Lu Jinchuan, this good-for-nothing second-generation rich kid, with a hint of disdain in his eyes.

Lu Jinchuan said there was a gathering, and Leng Linli thought it was a business-related one, but when he entered, he found out it was all about messy and chaotic relationships between men and women.

Lu Jinchuan felt Leng Linli's disdainful gaze and laughed, "You're just too tense. How about I find you a girl to regulate your hormones and prevent you from bottling yourself up?"

Leng Linli glanced at Lu Jinchuan, his eyes like knives: "I'm afraid of catching a disease."

Lu Jinchuan and Leng Linli are brothers and best friends who grew up together. They have an extremely close relationship. There is nothing about Leng Linli that Lu Jinchuan does not know, except for... Leng Linli's wife, whom he recently revealed himself.

As soon as Lu Jinchuan entered, he could tell that Leng Linli was acting strangely. His face was as cold, hard, and sullen as ever, but in addition to that, there was a hint of disappointment.

This is the proud and unrestrained eldest son of the Leng family; when has he ever shown such a negative expression of disappointment on his face?

Lu Jinchuan looked at Leng Linli and asked, "Heartbreak?"

He guessed correctly the first time, and Leng Linli coldly uttered a single word: "Get lost."

"......" You're so angry!

Leng Linli picked up a glass of strong liquor from the table and gulped it down. The fiery taste burned and stung his throat.

Leng Linli rarely drinks alcohol, and he would never use alcohol to numb himself. In the business world, he must always keep a clear head.

Seeing Leng Linli's irritable and frustrated appearance, Lu Jinchuan knew he had guessed correctly.

"Unhappy sex life?" Lu Jinchuan continued to tease him.

Leng Linli raised his eyes and glared at him, the gloom in his eyes impossible to hide. He pressed his tongue against his back teeth: "Lu Jinchuan, are you looking for a beating?"

Lu Jinchuan couldn't help but burst into laughter: "Is it because you can't satisfy your sister-in-law and she's disliking you?"

Lu Jinchuan's words infuriated Leng Linli. He stood up abruptly, his face cold, and turned to walk away without saying a word.

Lu Jinchuan shook his head and smiled; that was just his cold and ruthless personality.

He caught up with Leng Linli, put his arm around her shoulder, patted her, and said with a smile, "Don't be angry, I'll give you some advice."

Leng Linli shook off Lu Jinchuan's arm and sparingly uttered a single word: "Speak!"

Lu Jinchuan, with a straight face, spouted nonsense: "If you're not satisfied with your sister-in-law, I'll find you one right here. She's exceptionally good in bed, and I guarantee you'll be in a great mood."

"Get out!" Leng Linli roared angrily.

Lu Jinchuan laughed, "Don't be angry. I'm just giving you advice. If this doesn't work, I have others."

She glared at him coldly, her eyes flashing with a chilling and dangerous light.

Lu Jinchuan raised his hands in surrender, admitting defeat: "...Drinking, drinking, alcohol is a good thing. When you're drunk, you can forget all your troubles."

Leng Linli picked up another bottle of strong liquor on the table, drank it all in one gulp, his eyes slightly red, but he still tried to remain calm.

He drank quite a bit, but his troubles remained unresolved. The more he drank, the more sorrowful he became. His usually stern brow furrowed, and he swung his fist at Lu Jinchuan beside him: "You dare lie to me!"

Lu Jinchuan, who was standing to the side, was caught off guard and took a punch. He thought he could avoid a beating by not fighting with Leng Linli, but who would have thought that the punch, though late, would definitely come!

"You actually hit me!"

Lu Jinchuan covered his mouth, looking at Leng Linli with a victim's expression, appearing aggrieved: "You'll lose me sooner or later."

"Shut up!" Leng Linli cursed under his breath, then picked up another bottle of wine and continued to chug it down.

Seeing the situation was turning sour, Lu Jinchuan immediately snatched the bottle away: "Are you drinking water?"

"roll."

Lu Jinchuan: "......"

Leng Linli ignored him, gulping down a glass of wine, and soon another bottle was almost empty.

Lu Jinchuan hurriedly snatched the bottle of wine, which was less than half full, from Leng Linli's hand, and frowned, saying, "Brother, won't your stomach hurt from drinking like this?"

Leng Linli was probably drunk, otherwise, why would someone as proud as him point to his chest and mumble, "It hurts even more here..."
