Chapter 163 Workplace Colleague Love

From afar, Sang Lishu saw Yan Zhi, CEO Leng, and Bai Lian get out of the luxury car one after the other. It was understandable that CEO Leng and Bai Lian got out of the car together, but when did Yan Zhi get in with them?

“Hmm…” Yan Zhi admitted frankly, and was about to clarify when Bai Lian helped to prove her innocence: “My brother and I ran into Secretary Yan on our way here, and since we were going the same way, we gave her a ride.”

"Really?" Sang Lishu asked, looking at Yan Zhi.

"Hmm..." Yan Zhi responded indifferently, a faint smile on her lips, too lazy to expose Bai Lian's lie.

"That's good?" Just as she had thought, Sang Lishu smiled slightly, a glint of light flashing in her eyes.

"Assistant Bai is so beautiful and kind-hearted, always showing kindness to her colleagues. I've never ridden in a Rolls-Royce before. I wonder if Assistant Bai could give me a ride next time? So I can have the honor of riding in a luxury car?" Sang Lishu asked with a smile, looking like she couldn't be happier.

Bai Lian smiled and said, "Of course! We're all colleagues, helping each other is only right."

Seeing this, Sang Lishu smiled even more broadly: "Then I'll thank Assistant Bai in advance!"

Sang Lishu looked at Bai Lian with admiration in her eyes. As expected of the president's wife, her vision was extraordinary.

Bai Lian smiled but didn't say anything more. She looked down on Sang Lishu's naive and eager attitude and felt disdain.

However, considering that she would need to gain a foothold in the CEO's office in the future, she still needed to win over Sang Lishu and make her work for her.

Yan Zhi didn't speak again, nor did she intend to interrupt. She listened quietly, occasionally revealing a faint smile.

The staff elevator quickly arrived at the first floor, and several people entered the elevator one after another.

Yan Zhi and Su Rao stood inside, while Sang Lishu and Bai Lian were positioned on the outside. The elevator doors closed, but the elevator did not go up for a long time.

Sang Lishu waited a moment, then said impatiently, "Why isn't the elevator going up?"

Su Rao glanced at Sang Lishu with a hint of disdain; her aversion to stupidity was about to flare up again. Su Rao replied calmly, "Secretary Sang didn't press the floor number, so how did the elevator know which floor she wanted to go to?"

Sang Lishu snorted coldly, her tone tinged with disdain, and said dismissively, "Secretary Yan, Secretary Su already reminded you to press the elevator floor number, why are you still standing there?"

Instead of getting angry, Su Rao smiled, though the smile didn't reach her eyes. Her voice was cold: "Secretary Sang, why didn't you press the button? Aren't you the one closest to the elevator door?"

Sang Lishu looked at Yan Zhi with a half-smile, a mocking smirk playing on her lips: "She's the least experienced. If she didn't press the elevator button, was I supposed to?"

"In terms of seniority, why isn't it Assistant Bai pressing the elevator button? Secretary Yan arrived at the company much earlier than Assistant Bai!" Su Rao retorted, her tone laced with sarcasm.

Bai Lian remained silent, seemingly oblivious to the underlying meaning of their conversation. Sang Lishu glanced at Bai Lian, a smug smile playing on her lips, and said, "Assistant Bai is President Leng's..."

Just before she could finish speaking, Sang Lishu changed the word "Madam" to "...Sister".

Su Rao glanced indifferently at Bai Lian and said nonchalantly, "So what?"

Those who don't know her would think she's a member of the royal family.

I know, she's just a mistress who tries to interfere in other people's marriages.

Sang Lishu's smile deepened as she looked at Yan Zhishi, offering a senior's advice to a junior: "Secretary Yan, now that you've entered society, you should learn to be a dog first, then a human!"

Upon hearing this, Su Rao was instantly furious. Sang Lishu dared to openly curse people. Just as she was about to curse back, Yan Zhi stopped her.

Yan Zhi smiled gently, her usual calm and carefree demeanor revealing no emotion in her eyes. She slowly raised her gaze, her clear, bright eyes fixed on Sang Lishu, her tone gentle and unhurried: "Hmm... what Secretary Sang said makes some sense."

Seeing that Yan Zhi was about to back down, Sang Lishu's eyebrows were full of pride. She raised her head slightly and said arrogantly, "Of course, Secretary Yan still has a lot to learn!"

Yan Zhi nodded slightly, her expression calm, the smile on her lips still gentle, as if she had humbly accepted the instruction.

After a long pause, Yan Zhi asked in a gentle and sincere voice, "However, Secretary Sang's words have overturned my understanding of evolution. May I ask, are you a human or a dog now?"

"You...you insulted me!" Sang Lishu was furious, her face turning red with anger. She hadn't expected Yan Zhi to say that.

Yan Zhi smiled sincerely, her voice gentle: "Secretary Sang, how is this an insult to you? Isn't this the lesson you just taught me?"

Sang Lishu was speechless after being rebuked, and only managed to stammer out after a long pause: "Yan Zhi!"

"Hmm... I'm here, Secretary Sang, please speak." Yan Zhi was always accommodating and had a very gentle demeanor.

"We'll see!" Sang Lishu said angrily, turning her head to the side.

Su Rao stood aside watching the fun, and couldn't help but laugh when she saw how good Yan Zhi was at roasting people.

Originally worried that Yan Zhi would be bullied by Sang Lishu, Su Rao was surprised when Yan Zhi first flattered her to death and then turned the tables on her. She secretly gave Yan Zhi a thumbs up and whispered, "Awesome!"

Yan Zhi smiled softly, gently removing Su Rao's thumb, and said in a doting tone, "Be good, don't stir things up."

Yan Zhi never deliberately causes trouble, but she does have the ability to protect herself.

Su Rao nodded cheerfully, but the next second she added fuel to the fire, saying, "Secretary Sang, who lives closest to the elevator, are you thinking of getting scolded by President Leng if you don't press the elevator button? We'll be late in two minutes."

Su Rao deliberately emphasized the words "President Leng," as if afraid that Sang Lishu would forget.

Sure enough, Sang Lishu's expression changed instantly upon hearing this. She trembled with anger, turned her head and glared fiercely at Su Rao. She was so angry that her teeth itched, but she had no choice but to press the button for the top floor.
