Chapter 8: Another Humiliation

"Didn't you eat something before drinking, Young Master Fu?" Shi Wan asked.

Fu Siming hadn't eaten anything else today. He slowly recalled his actions for the day: "...Last night I played games with a girl until dawn, then slept until the afternoon. After waking up and taking a shower, I thought I'd have a romantic encounter at the Beauty House. I didn't expect to run into Sikong as soon as I arrived, and then I followed Sikong to this private room..."

Fu Siming suddenly realized: "The only things I ate today... were the wine that Sikong doesn't drink and the sugar water you gave me!"

"But I've always gotten through this before, and I've never had hypoglycemia!" Fu Siming tried to turn the tables on himself.

Shi Wan didn't want to judge Fu Siming's unhealthy lifestyle, and said seriously, "Young Master Fu used to be quite lucky, but remember to eat something before drinking in the future."

"Should I cancel the 120 emergency call for you? Or should I take you to the hospital to get your brain checked? You really are something, starving yourself to the point of hypoglycemia!" Sikong Jingyu glanced at the useless Fu Siming, and that glance felt like a particularly filthy insult.

Sikong Jingyu dialed the number to cancel the 120 emergency call, his gaze subtly falling on Shi Wan. Her words and actions just now inexplicably had a sense of professionalism.

"Sikong, just give the project to that young lady. After all, she just saved me," Fu Siming advised.

"She saved you, not me," Sikong Jingyu said indifferently.

"Will you give it to me or not?" Fu Siming clung to Sikong Jingyu's arm, acting coquettishly.

Sikong Jingyu shook off Fu Siming's arm, looking disgusted: "What's wrong with you! Did having a bout of hypoglycemia change your sexual orientation?"

"Fine, fine, you won't give it to me, huh? Then I'll give it to you!"

Fu Siming pointed at Sikong Jingyu with a helpless expression, sighed, and turned to look at Shi Wan: "He won't give you the project in the north of the city. How about you switch to the Fu family's project? You saved my life, and I'll definitely give you the biggest case, bigger than the project in the north of the city."

Just as Shi Wan was about to speak, Sikong Jingyu's cold voice rang out: "Fu Siming, are you asking for a beating?"

"You won't give it to her, so you won't let me give it to her either!"

Fu Siming only wanted to help her. If he got beaten up by Sikong Jingyu because of her, Shi Wan would owe Fu Siming a favor. And if she owed a favor, it would be troublesome to pay it back!

If she were to become entangled with Sikong Jingyu again because of Fu Siming, it would truly be a loss.

Thinking of this, Shi Wan stopped Fu Siming in time: "Young Master Fu, thank you, but my proposal this time is for signing the Chengbei project, which is too targeted. If there is an opportunity, we can cooperate again next time."

Sure enough, this woman had a very clever plan; she had even thought about the next collaboration!

"Pen." Sikong Jingyu suddenly uttered a single word in a cold voice, extending his hand towards Shi Wan.

Shi Wan realized what was happening and, fearing that Sikong Jingyu might change his mind, quickly took out a pen from her bag and placed it in Sikong Jingyu's hand.

Sikong Jingyu pointed to the door of the private room with her pen in hand: "Fu Siming, why aren't you going to eat? I don't want to call 120 again."

Fu Siming bluffed and shouted, "You sign your contract, and I'll get out of here right now."

Before leaving, Fu Siming slipped his business card into Shi Wan's hand: "My benefactor, I promise you a project, no questions asked. Call me whenever you need it."

Sikong Jingyu coldly stared at the woman in front of him, quickly signed his name on the contract, and then slammed the pen on the table.

As he approached, he looked down at her.

Without her noticing, Mo Ran snatched the business card from Shi Wan's hand, his tone threatening: "I can give you the contract, but remember who you are. Don't mess with Fu Siming. He has a fiancée, and she's not someone you can afford to offend. If I find out you dare to mess with Fu Siming, the contract will be void immediately."

Shi Wan frowned slightly. Was he warning her because he was afraid she would provoke his friends?

She won't.

Shi Wan had absolutely no desire to have any connection with anyone related to Sikong Jingyu.

"I have no problem with you finding a sugar daddy, but don't target the people around me, I find it disgusting."

"You... what gives you the right to look down on people?"

Gritting her teeth, Shi Wan endured it.

Regardless, the contract was secured. Shi Wan took a deep breath and lowered her eyes: "I know my place. The project in the north of the city... thank you."

After saying that, Shi Wan left the private room with the contract, not wanting to stay a second longer.

Sikong Jingyu stared at the signature of the planner on the coffee table, his gaze darkening slightly.

Shi Yu.

I hope you will behave yourself and keep your word.

Not far from the Beauty Residence, Shi Wan felt a dull pain in her lower abdomen, which only intensified over time.

She had just started her period and had no choice but to drink a lot of chilled alcohol. Now, when Shi Wan thinks back on it, she feels a chill all over her body. She doesn't know how she managed to drink that much alcohol.

She stopped late at night, squatted by the roadside, and pressed her lower abdomen.

I glanced at the time; it was 10:15. It had only been six hours since I last took painkillers, and it wasn't even time for my second dose. Yet, Shi Wan was already in so much pain that she couldn't stand up, and fine beads of cold sweat were seeping from her forehead.

Let's go back to the hospital and get a painkiller injection first.

"vomit......"

He vomited a few times, and what came out was mostly alcohol.

Shi Wan clutched her stomach, her face deathly pale.

"Did you take your birth control pill this morning?" A somewhat unfamiliar male voice came from behind.

Shi Wan struggled to look up and gazed toward the source of the sound, only to meet Si Kong Jingyu's gaze.

Sikong Jingyu also looked down at the evening sky.

Why did we run into each other again after only a few minutes apart?

I felt annoyed when I got up late.

"Is Mr. Sikong afraid that I'll get pregnant?" Shi Wan asked.

"certainly."

The words he uttered were clean and crisp.

Shi Wan forced a smile, tilted her head back, and said with a pale and weak expression, "That's true. How could someone like me be worthy of having Mr. Sikong's child?"

After saying that, Shi Wan lowered her head and continued to press her lower abdomen, trying to relieve the intense pain, but to no avail.

After a short while, Shi Wan slowly said, "Mr. Sikong, please rest assured, I am self-aware, I have started my period."

Sikong Jingyu raised an eyebrow slightly, his tone still indifferent and ruthless: "You dare to drink so much while on your period? Are you that short of money?"

Upon hearing this, Shi Wan raised her eyes and looked at Sikong Jingyu.

If it weren't for his imposing presence, would she have needed to drink so much?

Now he's turning around and blaming her for drinking so much.

Given the circumstances, would she dare not drink it?

She didn't want to drink it.

But she won't drink it, is that okay?

Shi Wan parted her lips in a barely perceptible bitter smile: "Forced by life's circumstances."

Sikong Jingyu chuckled lightly, his gaze clear and cold, revealing a hint of indifference: "Is your life truly impoverished, or are you overestimating yourself by chasing after things that don't belong to you, which has led to your current predicament?"

Shi Wan could tell from Sikong Jingyu's words that he looked down on her, so she forced a smile and asked, "What do you mean by pursuing something beyond your capabilities, Mr. Sikong?"
