She was already annoyed, and then she ran into someone who wouldn't let her pass, and the man glared at her fiercely.
Upon seeing Shi Wan's face clearly, he changed his mind.
Men's troubles are nothing more than two things: money and sex.
At this point, he always needs to solve one of his problems first.
"Oh, quite the beauty. Why don't you rub my chest for me, and I won't hold you responsible." The man chuckled lewdly, reaching for Shi Wan's hand.
Shi Wan frowned, took two steps back, and dodged the impact. "You're the one who bumped into me, how dare you hold me responsible? Why don't we call the police and check the security camera footage at the shop entrance?"
"I was walking along the road, and you blocked my way, causing me to bump into you. That's your responsibility," the man shouted defiantly.
“That’s robber logic,” Shi Wan said calmly.
The man smiled smugly, looking confident: "Forget about logic. This world isn't about who has the most money. You don't look like you're rich. Everyone says Niwan Village's industries are doing well. I'm here to test Niwan Village's sex industry."
Does that mean it's now a competition of who's richer between the two of them?
Shi Wan laughed. Society has progressed, but civilization seems to have regressed. Is a person's wealth being judged solely by their clothing and appearance?
Instead of getting angry, Shi Wan laughed, "You mean, whoever has the money calls the shots today, is that right?"
"You can interpret it that way too." The man seemed determined to bully others today.
"I wonder how much you're worth?" Shi Wan asked in return.
The man arrogantly raised his chin, snorting, "Anyway, I'm taller than you!"
"How much?" Shi Wan asked calmly, as if determined to get to the bottom of it.
"Brother, just tell her how much she has, so she can give up!" The other men in the group also wanted to know; they followed this guy because he was rich.
Shi Wan smiled faintly, echoing what those people were saying: "Yes, just tell me so I can give up."
The man's face instantly became somewhat flustered and embarrassed.
The man's name was Hei Wansheng. He had recently failed in his business investment and now only had a pittance left in his bank account. He had heard that the Niwan Village Economic Development Zone was just starting out, so he brought his brothers to see if there were any investment opportunities to turn things around.
"Brother, just tell her!" Hei Wansheng's brother said, forcing him into a corner.
Urged on by his brother and caught in a bind, Hei Wansheng reluctantly said, "I can't say much, but three to five thousand..."
Before Hei Wansheng could finish speaking, his brother, upon hearing this, was overjoyed and began to boast: "Did you hear that? My brother said there are thirty to fifty million!"
Hei Wansheng was at a loss for words. He said three to five thousand, when did it become ten thousand?
His brothers really think highly of him!
Shi Wan smiled slightly: "Then I'm sorry, according to what we said before, whoever has the money has the final say, I'm afraid I'll have to win by luck."
"Did you hear me right? My brother said thirty to fifty million, not three to five hundred!" the Hei Wansheng brothers shouted.
"It seems I'm going to teach you a lesson today. You want to use money to intimidate me? Then I'll play by your rules. The road you're walking on now was built with my investment. Half of the shops on this street you're browsing are under my name, with a market value of over fifty million. Now, do you want to apologize?"
Shi Wan spoke in a calm tone, her aura slightly open.
Seeing that he couldn't win the money contest, Hei Wansheng started to cheat: "You think I'd believe you just because you say so? Looks like I'll have to teach you a lesson today!"
As he spoke, Hei Wansheng casually gave Shi Wanqian's shoulder a push.
She was still recovering from childbirth late at night, and was pushed so hard that she staggered back two steps and bumped into the wooden railing next to her.
The corners of the carved railings are somewhat sharp, and they hurt my lower back when they hurt.
Shi Wan frowned, enduring the pain as she leaned against the railing beside her. When she looked up, she saw that Hei Wansheng's group of brothers had already surrounded her. Relying on their numbers, they said, "Apologize, and my brother won't pursue this matter today."
In Shiwan's territory, would Shiwan allow outsiders to bully them?
Shi Wan rubbed her lower back, took a deep breath, and said, "Then why don't I make a call and have the police determine who's responsible?"
Shi Wan's tone was firm, not at all like she was joking, as she took out her phone.
"If you won't listen to reason, you'll have to suffer the consequences!"
Seeing that Shi Wan was about to call the police, Hei Wansheng slapped her phone away, saying, "Let's see how she calls the police now!"
Still not satisfied with knocking the phone away, Hei Wansheng raised his hand and swung it at Shi Wan.
Shi Wan reacted quickly, grabbing Hei Wansheng's wrist and twisting it backward with a clever force, causing Hei Wansheng to scream in pain instantly.
"ah......"
When Shi Wan let go, Hei Wansheng fell to the ground.
Seeing this, Hei Wansheng and his brothers thought that their chance to show off had come. They began to shrink the circle around Shi Wan and approached her, saying, "You've got some nerve, daring to mess with my brother."
Just as the group was about to make their move, at the critical moment, several men in black suits appeared out of nowhere. They were tall and imposing, exuding a chilling aura of decisiveness and ruthlessness, and they tripped and shoved Hei Wansheng and his group.
In the blink of an eye, Hei Wansheng and his brothers were all knocked to the ground.
"Who sent you? How dare you hit me!" Hei Wansheng exclaimed.
The few thugs in suits remained silent, standing respectfully behind Shi Wan.
Shi Wan was also puzzled, as she had never seen them before.
But Shi Wan roughly knew who had arranged for them.
Shi Wan's guess was quickly confirmed when a cold and indifferent voice came from behind: "This is the first time someone has dared to call me 'I'."
"So what if I call myself 'Laozi'? I'll kill you!" Hei Wansheng roared.
When Shi Wan heard that familiar voice, her eyes flickered slightly.
Sure enough, it was him.
Shi Wan turned around and saw a tall figure standing at the back of the crowd, striding towards her with decisive steps, his deep black eyes fixed on her.
Sikong Jingyu approached and stood side by side with Shi Wan. He was handsome and extraordinary, with a sharp and angular profile, three-dimensional features, thin lips slightly pursed, and eyes that revealed a cold solemnity.
Who are you going to kill?
P.S.: The Shi Wan episode is about to end, and we'll soon be moving on to the Yan Zhi episode.
A gentle and mild-mannered female secretary vs. a cold and arrogant domineering CEO [1v1] vs. a wife-chasing frenzy
If someone suddenly treats you kindly without expecting anything in return, you must run away immediately, without stopping!
Yan Zhi overestimated herself; by the time she learned the truth, she was already deeply mired in trouble.
It's all fake.
She was truly moved.
Yan Zhi proved with facts that one should not be tempted during a low point in life. Every redemption she saw was just the next abyss. Whatever moved her would eventually take her life. Every heart she was moved by was her downfall.
