Chapter 46 Why do you smell so good?

"Okay." Sikong Jingyu replied calmly, his eyes gentle.

Shi Wan frowned again. Why was Sikong Jingyu being so gentle all of a sudden?

He had never been so gentle with her before. What was wrong with him today? It was so strange!

My legs hurt, yet I still wander around everywhere. I just don't understand Sikong Jingyu.

Shi Wan walked ahead, with Sikong Jingyu following closely behind. Neither of them spoke, and the atmosphere was somewhat awkward and silent.

They still had several days to spend together, and without any communication, things couldn't go on like this. Sikong Jingyu stopped and called out to Shi Wan, "My feet hurt, and the road is uneven. Can you help me?"

When Shi Wan turned around, she saw Sikong Jingyu walking with one leg higher than the other, and at first glance, he did indeed look like a limp.

Looking at the road, it was full of potholes and bumps, making it difficult to walk, especially for someone with mobility issues.

After hesitating for a moment, Shi Wan turned back and helped Sikong Jingyu up.

Sikong Jingyu smiled slightly, looking at Shi Wan who was earnestly helping her up, feeling pleased.

"Mr. Sikong, is this speed acceptable?" Shi Wan asked after walking for a while.

Sikong Jingyu looked down at her. Due to the height difference, when Sikong Jingyu looked down, he could see Shi Wan's beautiful collarbone. Especially now, as she was trying hard to support him, her slender neck was exposed due to the effort of bending over, and her collarbone was fully revealed, making her even more sexy and charming, and making people linger.

As Shi Wan supported him, she was naturally very close to him, so close that Sikong Jingyu could easily smell the scent on Shi Wan's body.

It has a faint scent of gardenias.

It smells the same as it did before.

Fragments of memories from that night at the old house flashed into his mind, causing Sikong Jingyu's Adam's apple to bob slightly and his gaze to deepen.

Sikong Jingyu shifted his gaze from Shi Wan's collarbone, collected his thoughts, and feigned composure, his voice still slightly hoarse: "Hmm, that's good. What brand of perfume do you usually wear?"

perfume?

When asked, Shi Wan replied, "I don't use perfume."

As a doctor, she naturally comes into contact with patients the most. She can't be sure that every patient she comes into contact with doesn't have a respiratory disease, so she never uses perfume.

"It's useless? Then why do you smell so good?" Sikong Jingyu exclaimed.

"It's just the smell of shampoo. If you like it, I'll send you a bottle tomorrow," Shi Wan said casually.

"Okay, then remember to bring it tomorrow!" Sikong Jingyu said.

What? He actually wants it?

Shi Wan was just exchanging a few casual pleasantries, but she never expected Sikong Jingyu to actually want to!

Would a rich young master like him be used to commoners' shampoo?

Since he asked for it, she'll just bring a bottle over tomorrow. It's not expensive anyway, and if he doesn't like it, he can just throw it away.

Shi Wan nodded and continued to support Sikong Jingyu as they walked forward.

Sikong Jingyu's smile widened as he naturally raised his arm and put it around Shi Wan's shoulder.

The sudden intimate gesture startled Shi Wan. She turned her head, about to say something, but met Sikong Jingyu's calm and composed dark eyes.

His expression was indifferent, as if it were just a trivial little thing, and if she took it to heart, she would seem pretentious.

Never mind, he's practically a patient now!

He's also half an ancestor.

Once we get the project contract, we'll go our separate ways.

Shi Wan pursed her lips, lowered her head, and continued to support Sikong Jingyu's body as they walked forward.

Upon seeing this, Sikong Jingyu's smile deepened.

When he hugged her, it was a tentative gesture.

It was late, and there was no resistance.

Does this mean that she doesn't actually dislike him?

Thinking of this, Sikong Jingyu tightened his grip on Shi Wan's shoulder.

Shi Wan didn't notice Sikong Jingyu's abnormality. She helped him walk slowly forward, but walking without saying a word was really awkward. Shi Wan hesitated for a moment and took the initiative to start a conversation: "I wonder how Mr. Sikong sprained his ligaments?"

"About ten days ago, I woke up to find my jaw inexplicably bruised and my leg limping," Sikong Jingyu hinted casually, turning his head to look at Shi Wan's fair face.

It was midday, and perhaps due to the sunlight, Shi Wan's skin appeared radiant. Her long, curled eyelashes drooped gently like wings, and her delicate facial features, slightly reddened earlobes, pale red lips, and clear eyes exuded an allure.

Sikong Jingyu looked at her, his eyes deepening, and he longed to kiss her.

But he can't.

If he did that, it would definitely terrify Shi Wan, and she would certainly not agree to be his doctor again.

Ten days ago, wasn't that the night Sikong Jingyu was drugged? Could it be that his leg hurt because she kicked him?

Does he really not remember what happened that night?

Shi Wan looked at Sikong Jingyu, whose expression seemed that of an outsider.

Since Sikong Jingyu doesn't remember, isn't that just as well? Shi Wan said calmly, "That's really unfortunate. Getting injured inexplicably overnight. Could it be that Mr. Sikong did something immoral and was beaten up that night?"

What a despicable thing to do?

She attributed that night to the despicable thing he did!

He often reminisced about that night, but she called him immoral, which made Sikong Jingyu somewhat unhappy.

Sikong Jingyu gave a bitter smile, staring intently into Shi Wan's eyes: "You know so much about what happened that night, could it be that you were the one who hit me that night!"

Shi Wan: "..."

Sikong Jingyu wrapped his arm around Shi Wan's shoulder. Due to their height difference, Sikong Jingyu's breath sprayed onto Shi Wan's neck, causing her body to stiffen instantly. His burning gaze seemed to indicate that he already knew what had happened that night.

Shi Wan gritted her teeth, avoiding Sikong Jingyu's burning gaze, and tried her best to stabilize her emotions and force herself to calm down.

"Mr. Sikong, you are joking. I was just guessing. It's late at night, and I'm not sleeping at home. How could I possibly be at your house?"

Sikong Jingyu snorted inwardly. She could lie without even blinking. She just didn't want to admit that she was the one that night!

"Why are you so agitated? I didn't say it was definitely you. You're just making yourself look guilty. Or are you saying you were in my room that night?" Sikong Jingyu asked calmly, as if he were asking a question with an answer already in mind.

He didn't have any evidence to begin with; he was just testing the waters earlier.

"I wasn't agitated, Mr. Sikong, you're overthinking it." The more she explained, the more guilty she seemed, so Shi Wan simply ignored Sikong Jingyu.

She helped Sikong Jingyu continue walking forward. Perhaps she was a little uneasy. Suddenly, she lost her footing. Shi Wan was startled and before she could react, she lost her balance and fell into the pit. It looked like she was about to fall into the pit.

"Shi Wan!" Si Kong Jingyu caught Shi Wan quickly and pulled her into his arms.

Sikong Jingyu frowned: "Are you alright?"

"It's okay, thank you." Shi Wan quickly broke free from Sikong Jingyu's arm around her waist and distanced herself.

etc......

What did Sikong Jingyu just call her?

Is it late?

Does he already know who she is?

Shi Wan looked at Sikong Jingyu in shock, stammering, "You... what did you call me?"
