Zhou Mingyan looked at Shen Yanxi with some anxiety. He gripped Shen Yanxi's wrist tightly, as if he wanted to crush his bones.
He was so excited that he unconsciously turned up the volume, which He Lingchuan, who was standing to the side, heard clearly. He frowned and sneered, "Children are the most intelligent. The fact that they chose me is enough to show that they are more comfortable with me."
He Lingchuan stood up, one child in each arm. They had finally started to feel sleepy, so He Lingchuan decided to take them back to their rooms.
Before leaving the living room, he left with these words: "Zhou Mingyan, how can you say the children are happier with you? They have to go to the hospital every day because of their overthinking when they're with you. Do you really think they're happy?"
He Lingchuan's words struck a nerve with Zhou Mingyan, causing his hands to tremble and his eyes to fill with hatred as he looked at He Lingchuan.

He Lingchuan said this on purpose, successfully diverting Shen Yanxi's attention.
Shen Yanxi looked up into Zhou Mingyan's eyes and was startled.
This was the first time she had ever seen Zhou Mingyan with such a look in his eyes; his eyes were filled with hatred, and even a hint of murderous intent.

Without a second thought, He Lingchuan refused Shen Yanxi outright: "I can't go back on my word. Besides, what's the point if you don't let me? Your relatives don't think that way."
All they thought about was their own losses; they showed no consideration for others.
Shen Yanxi frowned, as if to comfort He Lingchuan: "I will take care of my family members. You don't need to worry about them. You just need to take good care of the children."
"You want me to be a stay-at-home dad?"
