Yunchao, Dunyang City.
The snowflakes of early winter fell unexpectedly and gently between heaven and earth.
Asagao gently pushed open the door, and a fresh and chilly breeze, mixed with snowflakes, rushed towards her.
Her eyes lit up as she saw that the courtyard was covered in a blanket of white snow, with snowflakes falling like feathers from the sky, swirling and drifting down lightly and gracefully.
She turned around excitedly and called out into the house, "Miss, come and see! It's snowing! It's so beautiful!"
Upon hearing this, Zhao Zhi smiled gently. She carefully held her increasingly pregnant belly and, with Nan Ying's tender support, slowly got up.
Nan Ying lifted the heavy cotton curtain and told Zhao Zhi to watch her step on the threshold.
As soon as Zhao Zhi stepped into the courtyard, she was deeply attracted by the scene before her.
Snowflakes, as beautiful as a poem or a painting, flutter and fall gently.
Nan Ying supported Zhao Zhi with one hand and gripped the umbrella handle tightly with the other, shielding Zhao Zhi from the occasional falling snowflakes.
"You're about to become a mother, how can you still not know how to take care of your body!"
A slightly reproachful yet loving voice came from the side.
Zhao Zhi smiled and slowly turned around, looking in the direction of the sound.
Zhang Wan walked briskly towards her, a snow-white fox fur cloak draped over her arm. The cloak's fur was pure white, soft, and delicate; it was clearly a gift from her brother.
"Mother, why are you up too?" she smiled sweetly.
Upon seeing this, Asagao quickly stepped forward, took the cloak from Zhang Wan, and gently draped it over Zhao Zhi's shoulders.
The warmth of the cloak instantly enveloped Zhao Zhi, making her feel incredibly safe and comfortable.
She looked up at her mother and Asagao, her eyes filled with gratitude and happiness.
In the courtyard, the sudden snowfall made everyone even more lively.
The maids and servants came out of the house one after another. Some gathered together to build snowmen, while others played and frolicked with snowballs. Their laughter and chatter added a touch of life and vitality to the cold winter day.
Zhao Zhi stood in the courtyard, quietly appreciating everything, and involuntarily reached out her hand to feel the cool sensation of the crystal snowflakes falling on her palm.
She suddenly thought of Shen Hanshan and wondered what he was doing at that moment.
She had heard about Shen Hanshan being stripped of his princely title for his frantic search for the eldest princess more than a month ago.
Ultimately, he was burdened by her.
Thinking of this, Zhao Zhi felt a little irritated. "Nan Ying, help me go for a walk outside."
"Miss, I wonder if anyone has cleared the snow from the streets?" Nan Ying said somewhat reluctantly.
"I'll just stand at the gate of our own yard to get some fresh air. And also to see if my brother has come," Zhao Zhi whispered. "Hurry up, let's be quiet. If my mother finds out, she'll scold me again."
"Okay, we'll just stand here for a little while." Nan Ying helped Zhao Zhi carefully walk towards the door.
As soon as they opened the door, a gust of wind suddenly swirled up a flurry of snowflakes, which then blew towards the two of them.
Zhao Zhi subconsciously turned to the side, but out of the corner of her eye she caught sight of a snowman piled up in the corner of the wall not far away.
The snowman was extremely large, standing against the wall, and wearing a straw hat on its head.
"Nan Ying, look at that snowman, it's so realistic!" Zhao Zhi exclaimed.
Nan Ying wiped the snowflakes off her eyelashes and curiously ran over to take a look. What she saw startled her, and she recoiled, stumbling to Zhao Zhi's side, stammering, "Miss, that's a snowman! No, no, it's not a real snowman, it's a real person..."
