Chapter 70 Heart Fluttering He fell for Yin Lisheng.

Chapter 70 Heart Fluttering He fell for Yin Lisheng.

After Song Wenzhuo finished speaking that day, Ning Xuexi didn't say anything more, but silently took charge of the marriage ceremony between Song Wenzhuo and Gu Zhinan.

In fact, not only Ning Xuexi, but also Ye Xiuzhu and the others harbored resentment. However, they were willing to believe in Song Wenzhuo and Gu Zhinan, and they also wanted to give these two closest family members a grand ceremony to celebrate their marriage.

Instead of helping with the various matters related to the grand ceremony, Fu Yunshu did something else—he went into seclusion to refine elixirs.

Gu Zhinan had been searching for the Mirror Moon Flower for hundreds of years in order to refine the Nine Revolutions Condensing Essence Pill. Now that the most important ingredient had been found, even though the pill formula was already incomplete, Fu Yunshu still wanted to try to see if he could succeed.

He hoped to present this grand gift before Song Wenzhuo and Gu Zhinan's marriage ceremony.

Yin Lisheng dared not disturb him, and during the days that Fu Yunshu was refining pills, he silently guarded the door.

Time passed quietly. On the eve of Song Wenzhuo and Gu Zhinan's marriage ceremony, a somewhat unexpected person arrived at Tingxue Peak.

"Peak Master Gu?" Yin Lisheng turned his head, slightly surprised.

Gu Zhinan carried two white jade wine pots in his hands. The moonlight fell on the pots, spreading a warm glow. His expression was calm, but there was a hint of weariness in his eyes.

"Junior Uncle," his voice was low, carrying his usual indifference, but with a hint of sadness than usual, "would you like to have a drink with me?"

Yin Lisheng was slightly taken aback, then nodded: "Since Peak Master Gu has invited me, I will gladly accept."

The two did not enter the quiet room, but sat down at the stone table in the courtyard. Wine cups were quickly placed on the table, the wine clear and faintly radiant.

The moonlight was as clear as if it had been washed, and the night at the snow-capped peaks was exceptionally tranquil, with only the occasional rustling of the wind through the bamboo forest.

Gu Zhinan first drank a cup of wine, his gaze fixed on the deep night in the distance, and after a long while he said, "Isn't it strange why I came to find you?"

Yin Lisheng nodded honestly: "It was somewhat unexpected." After all, he wasn't very familiar with Gu Zhinan.

Gu Zhinan poured another cup, his fingertips tracing the rim of the cup, and said in a light tone: "I've thought about it for a long time. Among my peers, Ye Xiuzhu and the others are still angry, and it would be awkward to meet them. I'm too ashamed to go. The younger generation is not suitable either, and my grandmaster is in seclusion."

He paused, then looked at Yin Lisheng, "After considering everything, you are the most suitable one."

Yin Lisheng remained silent. When he thought about it this way, he was indeed a very suitable candidate.

“However,” Gu Zhinan changed the subject, his gaze falling on Yin Lisheng’s face with a hint of sharpness, “it’s not entirely because of that.”

Yin Lisheng's heart skipped a beat, and she looked up at him.

Gu Zhinan raised his glass and drank the wine in one gulp before slowly saying, "There's another reason—I've noticed that you have someone in your heart, someone you shouldn't have."

Yin Lisheng's hand tightened slightly on the wine glass, his knuckles turning white. He lowered his eyes, neither admitting nor denying it.

Gu Zhinan didn't press him, but poured himself another cup. His voice sounded somewhat ethereal in the night: "Back when I hadn't gone down the mountain to train, and when Wen Zhuo and I hadn't made things clear, it was the same. My eyes would always follow one person. I would be happy when I saw him, and feel empty when I couldn't see him. When others were laughing and talking, I would subconsciously look for his figure. If I was injured or recovered, the first person I wanted to tell was him."

He paused, then laughed self-deprecatingly: "I was just stupid back then, I didn't know it was love. Later, I wasted many years on other things, and it was only in recent years that I realized my feelings for him."

Yin Lisheng listened quietly, the wine in his cup reflecting the moonlight, swirling gently.

“Look at the way Grandmaster Uncle looks at you,” Gu Zhinan said softly, but each word was clear. “It’s different from others. It’s not the respect a disciple has for his master, nor the dependence a junior has for an elder,” he looked at Yin Lisheng. “It’s admiration.”

He said the last two words with great certainty.

Yin Lisheng's throat tightened, and his hand holding the wine glass trembled slightly. He had never confided this secret to anyone, and now that Gu Zhinan had so bluntly exposed it, he was at a loss for words.

“Don’t be nervous,” Gu Zhinan’s tone softened. “I have no intention of commenting, and I won’t tell anyone else. It’s just that… some things have been bottled up inside for too long, and I just want to talk to someone about them. I think you feel the same way.”

Yin Lisheng remained silent for a long time. When the wine in his cup had cooled down, he finally raised his eyes and looked at Gu Zhinan. His voice was very soft, with a hint of suppressed bitterness: "Peak Master Gu said he admires me, but I... I may not even have the right to admire you."

Gu Zhinan didn't speak, but just looked at him quietly, waiting for him to continue.

"He is my master," Yin Lisheng said slowly, each word uttered with difficulty. "He saved my life, taught me cultivation, and gave me a foothold. This kindness is heavier than mountains and seas. How... how could I dare to harbor such rebellious thoughts? How could I dare to let him suffer the criticism of the world?"

The night wind rustled through the bamboo forest, making the sound even louder.

Gu Zhinan poured himself another cup, but didn't drink it immediately. He looked at the shimmering moonlight reflected in the cup and slowly said, "Actually, you could be more confident."

He raised his eyes and looked directly at Yin Lisheng with seriousness: "I can tell that Grandmaster Uncle treats you differently."

Yin Lisheng was startled and suddenly looked up at Gu Zhinan.

"Grandmaster Uncle never accepted disciples, but he made an exception for you. After he accepted you as his disciple, even though he said he would not accept any more disciples, many people still wanted to try to become his disciples. Whether they were scions of noble families or geniuses from commoners, he rejected them all. You were the only exception."

“Grandmaster Uncle is aloof and dislikes trivial matters, and he is even less patient with teaching disciples. Even though Wen Zhuo spent a lot of time under his tutelage, Grandmaster Uncle Uncle did not give Wen Zhuo much guidance on cultivation,” Gu Zhinan said slowly. “But with you, he taught you everything he knew, from swordsmanship to mental techniques, from alchemy to talisman making, doing everything personally, no matter how small.”

Yin Lisheng's lips moved slightly. He naturally remembered all the kindness Fu Yunshu had shown him, but he had always thought that this kindness was due to the bond between master and disciple, and had never dared to think too deeply about it.

“And another thing,” Gu Zhinan paused, his voice lowering, “have you ever noticed the way your grandmaster uncle looks at you? He’s always aloof and distant in front of others, but whenever his gaze falls on you, that chill melts away a little. He’s indifferent by nature, but he remembers what you like to eat, where you’re likely to make mistakes during cultivation, and even… he can detect the subtle changes in your emotions.”

"Junior Uncle, do you really think this is just a master's care for his disciple?"

A series of rhetorical questions caused Yin Lisheng's heart to surge violently. Those details that he had deliberately ignored and dared not think about deeply were now being pointed out by Gu Zhinan one by one, leaving him somewhat at a loss.

"I...I don't know." Yin Lisheng's voice trembled, filled with both fear and a barely suppressed hope. "Master...perhaps he just..."

"Just what?" Gu Zhinan interrupted him, his tone unusually stern. "Yin Lisheng, can't you really see it? Or are you afraid to see it?"

Yin Lisheng was speechless.

Gu Zhinan sighed, his tone softening: "Junior Uncle, I'm not questioning you, I just hope you understand that you're not acting alone. Your Grandmaster Uncle's feelings for you are far more than just a simple master-disciple relationship."

“I’m telling you all this tonight not to ask you to do anything immediately,” Gu Zhinan stood up and patted his shoulder, “but just hoping that you won’t underestimate yourself, and that you won’t miss out on the destiny that might have been yours because of cowardice and so-called ‘worldly rules’.”

"I only hope that you will not follow in the footsteps of me and Wen Zhuo, foolishly missing out on hundreds of years of time."

Yin Lisheng stood up and bowed deeply to Gu Zhinan: "Thank you for your guidance, Peak Master Gu."

Gu Zhinan waved his hand: "No need to thank me."

He looked up at the moon, which was already high in the sky, and said, "It's late, Junior Uncle, you should get some rest. I should go now."

Watching Gu Zhinan's departing figure disappear into the night, Yin Lisheng stood alone in the courtyard, motionless for a long time.

A night breeze caressed his face, carrying the fresh scent of bamboo leaves. He looked up at the bright moon in the sky, then turned to look at the tightly closed door of the quiet room. The tangled mess in his heart that had been there for years seemed to be gently smoothed out by an invisible hand at this moment.

His master might really... treat him differently.

This realization filled him with both apprehension and indescribable joy.

He dared not hope for too much, but at least from tonight onwards, he would no longer run away, and he would no longer imprison himself in the shackles of the "master-disciple" relationship.

Fu Yunshu finished refining the Nine-Turn Condensation Pill before sunrise.

He pushed open the door, and the first rays of sunlight gently bathed the courtyard of Tingxue Peak.

In the morning light, Yin Lisheng fell asleep leaning against the pillar by his door.

The young man's eyes were closed, his long eyelashes casting a small, quiet shadow beneath his eyelids. He tilted his head slightly, his bangs falling loosely and partially obscuring his eyes and eyebrows. Perhaps from keeping watch all night, there were faint dark circles under his eyes, but they did not detract from his handsome features.

Fu Yunshu stood at the door, momentarily stunned.

The jade bottle in his hand still held warmth, yet his fingertips felt slightly numb. His heart felt as if it had been lightly bumped by something, skipping a beat unexpectedly, followed by a more intense and unfamiliar surge of emotion that rushed up and instantly swept through his entire body.

He had seen Yin Lisheng in many different forms. The dusty yet stubborn little beggar he first met, the focused swordsman with sweat-drenched temples, the sharp and fierce swordsmanship when facing an enemy, the clear and attentive listening to his lectures, and the occasional apprehension when making a mistake with his head down, like a big dog that had done something wrong.

But the fact that he was sleeping so quietly and without any precautions still made him feel a little strange.

Yin Lisheng just stood there, waiting, even though he didn't know when he would come out.

This realization caused the subtle flutter in Fu Yunshu's heart to melt instantly, like honey being poured into boiling water, spreading a warm feeling that was both sweet and bittersweet. Mixed in with it was an indescribable heartache—how long had this child been waiting?

Fu Yunshu subconsciously slowed his pace and walked up to Yin Lisheng, bending down slightly. His gaze lingered on Yin Lisheng's face, from his handsome eyebrows to his closed eyes, and then to his beautifully shaped lips.

His heartbeat had become fast and heavy, pounding against his chest with a drum-like sound that made his eardrums buzz.

My throat felt a little dry, and my Adam's apple bobbed up and down involuntarily.

Fu Yunshu's mind went blank, except for one thought that emerged with exceptional clarity and force, carrying a breathtaking allure—

I want to kiss him.

It's over.

This was Fu Yunshu's first thought. He finally understood what the strange thing was earlier was—it was his heart fluttering.

On a peaceful morning, though somewhat inexplicably, Fu Yunshu became certain of one thing—

He fell for Yin Lisheng.

Author's Note: I expect the main story to be finished in December. Then, in January, I plan to write the side stories and "Wild Rafting," a very short, sweet campus romance novel that I estimate will be finished in one or two months. After that, I can start "Senior Brother." Please click on any pre-orders you like! [Please!]

Here is the revised text:

Wild Rafting

01:

Ruan Yu'an and two friends were playing a ranked match when they were randomly matched with a random player. The random teammate was wearing one of the most expensive skins in the entire server, exuding a strong "whale" vibe.

Friend A: Oh no, whales usually have bad tempers, so let's hope we don't rush into it.

Friend B: I'm afraid that won't work.

Friend A asked in confusion: Why?

Friend B: Because my internet connection is slow!

After saying that, Friend B immediately went offline.

Friend A emitted a sharp, popping sound: "Network card, you're a joke!"

The three of them had no choice but to carry each other on their backs. Midway through, friend A was on the verge of tears: "I give up. I bet number four is going to tear us apart."

Ruan Yu'an sighed, "It's really unlucky for someone at the peak to have teammates like us. They really deserve to be rid of us."

Unexpectedly, as soon as she finished speaking, Ruan Yu'an heard a deep, magnetic, unfamiliar male voice:

"It's passable, but there are no crickets. Come and take over."

Ruan Yu'an's pupils dilated in shock. Help! How did my random teammates hear me? But I clearly turned on my team mic!

02:

Sheng Xun accidentally started a four-player queue instead of a solo queue. One of his teammates went AFK at the start of the game. Although he was angry, he had no choice but to grit his teeth and keep playing.

Fortunately, the other two teammates were quite reliable, providing a decent three-carry start, so this game wasn't entirely hopeless.

To Sheng Xun's surprise, halfway through the run, he suddenly heard the voices of two other teammates.

One of the male voices was clear and gentle, quite pleasant to listen to, which drew him into their conversation without him even realizing it.

The result startled the boy, and his voice trembled slightly with grievance:

Why can you hear us?

How adorable, Sheng Xun thought.

That night, Sheng Xun, who had been suffering from insomnia for many years, unexpectedly had a good night's sleep.

Upon waking up, he promptly opened the party recap from the previous night and clicked on the friend request.

03:

Sheng Xun, the campus heartthrob of University A, is a universally acknowledged aloof and unapproachable figure. Ruan Yu'an never thought that someone as insignificant as her could possibly have any interaction with him.

Until one day in the cafeteria, when she accidentally bumped into Sheng Xun, his MP3 player fell to the ground, and Ruan Yu'an clearly heard her own voice in it:

"You're so cute, baby."

"You're so cute, baby."

"You're so cute, baby."

Reading Guide:

Both the top and bottom are virgins, both are first loves, deeply in love with each other, and steadfast in their love. It's a classic 1V1 story where the top dotes on the bottom, who is obedient, domineering, and spoiled. If you're not into this kind of story, you can skip this.

The background game is NetEase's Egg Party, because the only game the author knows how to play besides Dou Dizhu and Candy Crush is this.

Essentially, it's just a mindless, sweet campus romance; don't take it too seriously.

Some terms will be explained in the first chapter, and the characters have no prototypes.

Unlucky X Unlucky.
