Chapter 22

Chapter 22

Wen Bei was a little confused, but he had to take advantage of the convenience that was delivered to his doorstep. His hand, which was about to get some water, stopped and took the water from Qiu Tinge and drank it.

Li Shu had been secretly observing their movements, and after seeing these actions, he showed a smug expression.

He whispered to the woman, "Another backdoor."

The woman looked at him in horror in the darkness with a pair of tired eyes and did not respond.

Li Shu didn't care. He threatened her again in a harsh tone before lying down to rest.

The air-raid shelter fell into silence.

Wen Bei also observed Li Shu out of the corner of his eye. His withered yellow hair and the strange flesh-colored long tail behind him showed that he was also a polluter.

The distortion direction of some polluters does not affect the overall appearance, while some are very ugly.

Wenbei feels that the tail of the Li family is a bit like a mouse.

It's still that dirty, smelly big black rat from the sewer.

The woman's hair and eye colors only changed slightly, becoming more earthy brown, but there was no other distortion.

Most likely he's just an ordinary person.

Can ordinary people also be taken out of the base?

It seems that she is not doing this voluntarily.

Wen Bei lowered his eyes and closed them silently.

The four people in the air-raid shelter each had their own thoughts.

Just when the night was about to pass peacefully outside Wenbei, a crackling sound of gnawing suddenly rang out in the middle of the night.

Wen Bei opened his eyes almost the moment the sound came. He turned his head to look at the man pretending to sleep beside him: "Did you hear that?"

Qiu Tincture: “Yeah.”

He slowly opened his eyes, a hint of interest flashing across his face: "A little mouse ran in."

The air-raid shelter is just a camp with a slightly concealed function, and its security is actually not very high.

It's normal for them to be targeted since four people squeezed in here at once.

Wen Bei's face darkened slightly as he tried to determine where the sound came from.

The air-raid shelter was underground. He originally thought that the invaders appeared from above his head, but he didn't expect the sound to come from under their feet.

Just because of this momentary misjudgment, a strange black creature suddenly emerged from under his feet.

If he hadn't retracted quickly enough, his foot would have been bitten through.

Li Shuquan was able to survive in the apocalypse for so many years only because of his ability to survive. He rushed out, pushed the woman away, opened the door and ran away.

The woman was pushed and fell to the ground. She couldn't stand up for a while. A large group of strange black creatures suddenly pounced on her.

"Be careful!" Wen Bei shouted and grabbed her and pulled her up.

It was still a little too slow, and the filthy creature had already bitten her calf, and it didn't let go ferociously.

Only then did Wen Bei see the appearance of this group of filthy creatures. They all looked like moles, but the moles' originally pointed mouths had mutated, and there were things like maggots twisting in their mouths.

The maggots tangled together and easily chewed through the soil and visible metal objects.

The filthy mole that had bitten the woman's leg had gnawed right to the bone.

The woman endured the pain and chopped off the mole's head with a knife. Her knife was sharp, but she still had to use all her strength to cut through the connecting bone.

The mole's body fell to the ground and was quickly eaten clean by its companions. Even the blood-stained floor was not spared, leaving no trace of food.

If its head hadn't been still tightly biting the woman's calf, one would even doubt what had just happened.

If I run away from here now, I will be eaten to pieces without leaving a single bone.

Wen Bei looked grim as he planned a route that would incur the least damage.

He deduced that these moles might only be able to attack underground, and their only chance of survival was to quickly run to the surface.

The door of the air-raid shelter had just been closed by Li Shu. They were inevitably injured because of the time it took them to run over and reopen the door.

Time did not allow him to come up with any other countermeasures. After the group of moles had eaten their companions, their dark eyes looked at them standing in the corner.

A rustling, wriggling mouth filled with maggots approached.

Qiu Ting, who had been indifferent all this time, suddenly raised the corner of his mouth, and his profile looked very devilish in the dim light: "Haven't you always been curious about what my special ability is?"

Wen Bei remained calm even though his thoughts along the way were exposed: "What do you want?"

Qiu Tinge moved closer to him, his breath spraying in his ear: "Look carefully."

In an instant, a fluorescent black tail appeared from behind him, with silver light flowing quickly across it from time to time, like an artificial exoskeleton that would appear in a cyberpunk movie.

After the long wings spread out, the tips turned into blades. It just swept forward and cut off the heads of more than a dozen moles.

The head that the woman had just cut off with great effort was as fragile as tofu under the black tail.

Sensing the danger, the dozens of remaining moles were frightened and scattered screaming.

The tail wing suddenly expanded to more than two meters, forcing them back into the corner like a sheepdog driving the flock.

A few moles were close by and rushed over to bite Qiu Ting's legs.

Unexpectedly, as soon as it got close to him, the leg was suddenly covered with a circle of black substance. It looked like a flowing substance but it was extremely hard. The mole could not bite through it, and it was hit by the tail wing and turned into mud.

The tail wing swung, and a streak of black blood was immediately splashed on the wall.

It became a ruthless slaughterhouse from which no mole could escape.

Wen Bei had just touched the door when he felt a tightening around his waist. He looked down and found that a circle of smaller black substance had surrounded him. The person easily picked him up and brought him to Qiu Tinge.

Qiu Ding shook his head slightly and sighed: "How ruthless."

He hooked his fingertips slightly, and the black substance that was wrapped around Wen Bei's waist let him go, and Wen Bei fell into Qiu Tin's arms.

Qiu Ting finally showed a smile that didn't seem fake: "Did you see it clearly?"

Wen Bei had no expression on his face and pushed him away with a slap.

I originally thought that Qiu Tin's ability was related to the black fog, but now it seems that is not the case.

What exactly are these black substances that he can manipulate at will to change into different forms?

Wen Bei reached out and touched the tail wing behind him that had not yet disappeared. It felt cold and similar to metal.

But that terrifying ductility and variability definitely does not belong to metal.

In other words, it is not something that humans can explain clearly.

He didn't even need to look hard enough, there were already hundreds of mole carcasses on the ground.

Qiu Ting was not annoyed after being pushed away. He seemed to be in a better mood again.

The tail wing trembled when Wen Bei touched it, and then retracted.

The air-raid shelter fell into silence.

There was only the sound of the woman gasping in pain.

Li Shu pushed the door open carefully. All his supplies were still here, and he was unwilling to leave.

I didn't expect that all three of them were still alive.

And the ground was littered with filthy corpses.

Li Shu's eyes suddenly lit up.
