Chapter 97 It's Fate

"Young Master!" Qin Yao chased after him, lifting her skirt.

The man walked into the garden and sat down, holding a book in his hand. He was thinking about something, his eyes wandering.

Hearing the soft call, the person sitting there turned around and saw a girl about his age.

Qin Yao was wearing a goose yellow dress, looking very cute and lovely.

He was slightly stunned, and the girl was already standing in front of him with a shy look on her face.

"Wei... Why is Mr. Wei here?" Qin Yao's face was full of joy. She didn't expect to meet Wei Tianci here.

She still remembered the scene when Wei Tianci came on horseback that day. His handsome appearance was deeply engraved in her mind.

"You are...?" Wei Tianci raised his eyebrows slightly.

"I...I am a maidservant of Her Royal Highness the Princess..." Qin Yao remembered that she must not reveal her identity as a concubine, nor did she want Wei Tianci to know that she was already Wei Shaoqing's concubine.

"Maid?" Wei Tianci looked at the person in front of him. Her clothes and appearance looked much better than those of an ordinary maid.

Seeing Wei Tianci's suspicion, Qin Yao glanced at her clothes and stammered to explain, "Her Royal Highness the Princess said...that I should be more decent in the capital."

This makes sense. Yuan Zhao is a princess, so the maids around her are naturally the best dressed.

Thinking of this, Wei Tianci felt a little dissatisfied. He and his mother were living worse here than a maidservant beside Yuan Zhao.

But when he glanced at Qin Yao's shy look in front of him, he understood something.

After all, his mother had given him a maid two years ago, and he was already familiar with matters between men and women.

He then straightened his expression and said, "My last name is Wei Tianci, and I'm staying at your house."

Since the other party was Yuan Zhao's man, he couldn't say too much.

Qin Yao also remembered that Bai and Wei Shaoqing were old acquaintances.

A few days ago, Qin Xin told her that a family had come to the mansion and asked her not to come here.

Qin Xin never said much to her sister, so Qin Yao had no idea that Bai was Wei Shaoqing's concubine.

It turned out to be them. She was delighted and tried to strike up a conversation with him: "Sir, do you often come here to study?"

Wei Tianci was here for the first time today, and he changed the subject and nodded.

"The exam is coming up soon. This place is quiet and suitable for studying."

Qin Yao's eyes lit up when she heard this. Young Master Wei was indeed the most talented man in the capital, working so hard.

The two talked for a while, and Qin Yao was very amused by Wei Tianci's wit and humor.

But she was afraid of being discovered, so after chatting for a while she made an excuse and left.

On the way back, she was smiling and looked very happy.

She didn't know that after she turned around and left, Wei Tianci stared at her figure for a long time.

In the next few days, Qin Yao discovered that Wei Tianci was very hardworking and studied attentively in the garden every day.

So she prepared some tea, fruit and fruits and wanted to send them to him.

In order to conceal her identity, she even changed into a maid's clothes.

Wei Tianci seemed very surprised when he saw her again.

"This girl, it's really fate that we meet again."

Qin Yao blushed slightly and handed over the basket in her hand. "Master, you have worked hard in studying. I have prepared some snacks and tea. I hope you will accept them."

Wei Tianci curled up his lips into a gentle smile and reached out to take it.

His hand "accidentally" touched Qin Yao's hand, and Qin Yao shrank back as if struck by lightning.

"Thank you, young lady. I haven't asked your name yet." Wei Tianci put one hand behind his back and picked up the basket steadily with the other hand.

When Qin Yao looked up, she could see Wei Tianci smiling at her. She felt her heart pounding.

Young Master Wei is so kind, so gentle...

"Qin...Qin Yao..."

"Thank you, Miss Yaoyao."

Qin Yao hummed softly, "Then, sir, please continue your studies. I will take my leave now."

She saluted hastily and ran away without waiting for Wei Tianci to say anything else.

Wei Tianci looked at her running back and laughed.

That evening, he asked the servant beside him to find out whether there was a maid named "Qin Yao" serving Yuan Zhao.

The servant returned quickly and reported to him, "Sir, I went to ask around and found out there is indeed a maid named Qin Yao."

"I heard she's incredibly beautiful, and the princess doesn't treat her like an ordinary maid. The servants in the courtyard are all speculating that the princess found her for the eldest young master..."

The servant didn't finish his words, but Wei Tianci understood.

He sneered, "He's a paralytic, isn't he going to miss out on such a beautiful girl?"

The servant raised his eyes and advised, "Sir, you're about to finish your exams. Why don't you just focus on your studies and get a good ranking before worrying about anything else?"

Wei Tianci raised his eyebrows slightly, looked at the article in his hand that had caused a sensation in Beijing, and narrowed his eyes:

"This is all about getting a good ranking..."

In the next few days, Qin Yao came to the small garden every day, and Wei Tianci read there without exception, rain or shine.

At first, Qin Yao left quickly after delivering the snacks, not even daring to look at Wei Tianci.

But in fact, every time she went to the small garden, she hoped to stay with Wei Tianci for a while longer.

Finally, one day, Wei Tianci looked up from his book, looked at Qin Yao and said with a smile, "Miss Yaoyao, let's have some tea, fruit and fruits before we go."

Qin Yao was flattered, "Will it not disturb you, sir?"

Wei Tianci smiled and said, "Being able to drink tea with a beauty like Yaoyao is a joy that pleases both the eyes and the heart."

Qin Yao blushed with shame and sat side by side with him on the stone bench in the corridor.

The two sat together, and Wei Tianci chatted with her.

Although Qin Yao was beautiful, she was always timid and quiet.
