After sailing on the sea for seven or eight days, we finally arrived at the waters of Xumi Island.
As the ship approached, it was blocked by a wall of air.
"This is an overseas barrier, I'm here..."
Before Hai Yan finished speaking, he took two steps and heard a "crack". Cracks appeared on the invisible air wall, like the veins of leaves, shattering with a loud bang!
"ah……!"
"ah……!!"
Hai Yan and Hai Xing were stunned at the same time.
"The barrier protecting the island, the barrier protecting the island is broken!" Starfish held his head and screamed in horror!
This barrier was set up by the first generation descendants of the Sea God. It has protected the islanders for thousands of years and is indestructible. It can stop humans, ghosts, and evil spirits.
Now... it's just... broken?
Broken!!!
Hai Yan opened his mouth wide and mechanically turned his head to look at Rong Chaoxi.
Rong Chaoxi rubbed his nose and said, "It hurt me."
The little guy has a red nose and blinks his big round eyes, looking very innocent.
When the boat approached Xumi Island, Rong Chaoxi smelled a hint of the sea god's breath.
The little guy was stretching his neck to move forward curiously, but with a "bang", the boat hit the air wall.
Her little face was hit really hard.
As soon as the words fell, two red lines appeared under the little guy's nose...
"Chaoxi, your nose is bleeding..." Rong Yubai hurriedly picked up the little girl from the fence and covered her nose with a handkerchief.
"Princess, are you okay?"
"Is your nose collapsed?"
"Our beautiful little nose can't be ruined like this..."
A group of people surrounded Rong Chaoxi with concern, leaving Hai Yan sad by the boat, and Hai Xing collapsed and held his head.
"How dare you, you thief, destroy the barrier protecting my island!"
Just as they were halfway through the barrier, they heard a roar from the front.
A small shell-shaped boat came over.
There stood a young man on the boat, with thick eyebrows, sharp eyes, and a frosty face, looking very majestic.
"Brother Du, it's me. We're back." Hai Yan shouted at the man.
"Young Master?!"
The big ship followed the small ship, and everyone landed on the island.
Haidu took Haiyan and Haixing aside and asked:
"Why did you bring so many people back?"
Xumi Island is very xenophobic. For thousands of years, no foreigners have ever set foot on the island.
"That's the princess of Dongwu. His Majesty Dongwu won't let her go unless the guards follow her." Hai Yan said:
"Besides, we are asking for help this time, so we must comply with everything."
"Don't worry, the young man in white is my good friend. They are very nice people and won't do anything."
"That little child... is he the one you mentioned who can summon gods?"
Looking at Rong Chaoxi, who squatted beside a bunch of weeds and drooled as soon as he got on the island, Haidu frowned.
The child looks stupid at first glance, can he really summon gods?
Do the gods nowadays have such strange preferences?
The child was already directing the guards to dig the grass.
She tucked her skirt into her belt and dug with her butt sticking out.
Dig out one, rub it on your clothes and put it in your mouth.
Even more stupid.
"Brother, she can't summon gods." Starfish's eyes widened and she said mysteriously, "She herself is the god!"
Haidu? ? ?
My little sister has become a fool after going out?
The child looked mortal inside and out.
"Let me tell you..."
"starfish."
Hai Xing was about to talk about what happened in Lihe County when Hai Yan stopped him.
It was obvious that those vengeful spirits came because of Xumi Island, and they had a purpose for coming to Xumi Island day and night.
There must be someone on the island doing something wrong to the sea and to the gods.
We must not rashly tell others that Chaoxi is a god, so as not to alert the enemy.
"Brother Du, Haixing is talking nonsense. Princess Chaoyang is loved by the gods and has obtained some of their divine power. She is much stronger than us."
starfish???
Although I don't understand why Hai Yan denied it, seeing the look he gave me, I immediately nodded in agreement:
"Yes, she is very powerful. The gods have kept their power in her body. Unlike us, we need to draw it out when we need it."
Hai Yan said, "Brother, take them to resettle first. Many people can't stand the seven-day boat ride."
Haidu was still a little confused, but when he heard the two people change the subject, he stopped asking.
"Okay, once you've sent back the message, I'll have my accommodations ready. Come with me."
Hai Yan ran over to call for help, but Chaoxi's wild vegetables had not been dug up yet.
"There are more here, come quickly..." Rong Chaoxi discovered another cluster.
"Chao Xi, you can dig as much as you want, but you can't eat anymore." Rong Yubai stared at the little guy.
The little girl has loved eating insects and grass since she was a child. She hadn't been "sick" for a few days and I thought she was well. But she got sick again when she arrived at Xumi Island.
If I go to the South in the future, I will develop the problem of eating insects.
"Second brother, this is not grass, it's delicious..." The little guy smiled with his eyes wide open while holding the full little bamboo basket.
After bringing the Dongwu people to their residence, Hai Yan and Hai Xing followed Hai Du to the Elders' Hall to report.
Before entering the room, I could hear a commotion inside, all because of the destruction of the barrier.
"High Priest, elders, the young master is back." Hai Du went in and stopped the noise.
Hai Yan then went in and explained the barrier to them.
"A barrier that has lasted for thousands of years was broken just by a little kid touching it?" The elders were in disbelief.
The high priest was shocked. "Are you sure she didn't do anything, she just hit her nose?"
Hai Yan and the other person nodded in unison.
For a moment, the hall fell into silence.
After a long while, the Great Elder asked, "Hai Yan, is this child you found reliable?"
