Chapter 226: This is just the beginning
At night, the hospital corridor was quiet. The man lay on the bed listening to the sounds outside.
Until footsteps were heard and stopped at his door.
Ignoring the pain in his body, he quickly got out of bed and opened the door.
The door opened before the person at the door knocked.
"Did Shangguan Ling ask you to come?"
The Chinese man's tone was slightly excited.
"Yes, she asked me to take you away and take a boat back to China."
The Chinese man smiled and said, "I knew she would save me. I will go with you right away."
He turned back, took out the boat ticket from under the pillow, and happily followed the stranger in front of him out of the hospital.
He had difficulty moving, so he was pushed out in a wheelchair until he got on the bus.
"Will she go back with me?"
The Chinese man asked the driver.
"who?"
"Shangguan Ling."
"I don't know. You'll know when you get there."
It takes more than an hour to drive from the hospital to the ferry.
It was cloudy tonight and the moon was hidden in the clouds. Not a single ray of light came through, and it was completely dark.
After getting off the car, the Chinese man saw the lights on the ship opposite. He hobbled onto the ship by himself without any need for a push.
After his ticket was checked, someone took him to a special rest room.
As soon as he opened the door, he saw Shangguan Ling sitting inside drinking tea.
She crossed her legs, holding a steaming cup, and never looked at him.
"Would you like some good Longjing tea?"
The Chinese man stared at Shangguan Ling blankly, unable to hide the shy smile in his eyes, "Okay."
He walked over carefully and picked up a cup of Longjing tea from the table. The tea was very hot, so he only dared to take a sip.
"Don't like drinking?"
Shangguan Ling suddenly asked.
"No, I like it very much."
"Then why don't you drink it all in one gulp?" Shangguan Ling raised her eyes and her indifferent gaze fell on his face.
The Chinese man was stunned, then he tilted his head back and drank it all.
The tea was incredibly hot, burning my lips, tongue, and throat, making me feel uncomfortable and tight.
Shangguan Ling saw this and chuckled, "Is it delicious?"
"Ahem, it tastes good."
His tongue was so hot that it was numb, but he didn't dare to say it didn't taste good.
The ship has already set sail and I can clearly feel it sailing on the sea.
"Come with me and enjoy the sea breeze."
Shangguan Ling stood up and walked out, and the Chinese man hurriedly followed.
There were not many people on the ship. The sea breeze was strong and cold at night, so no one came out to play and everyone stayed in their rooms to rest.
The sea was endlessly dark, with no end in sight and no bottom in sight. There was no way of knowing whether there were any monsters under the ship.
"How many years have you been with me?"
Shangguan Ling suddenly asked.
The Chinese man's eyes were always fixed on her profile, and his voice was softer than ever, "Fifteen years ago, you saved me from the devil's hands, and I have been following you ever since."
His original family was not good. His father was domestically violent and his mother committed suicide. He was almost beaten to death by that devil. It was Shangguan Ling who saved him and gave him a new life.
"How many fifteen years can there be in a lifetime?" Shangguan Ling sighed.
"No matter how many fifteen years it takes, I will always be by your side."
Shangguan Ling was stunned for a moment, then sneered, "Really? Then I'll give you a chance, a chance to stay with me forever."
"What is it?"
Shangguan Ling pointed to the sea and said, "Jump from here."
Her voice was indifferent, and she didn't sound like she was joking.
"You must be joking. If I jump down, I will definitely die."
"I want you to die." Shangguan Ling turned her head to look at him, her eyes as if she was looking at a dead person.
She moved quickly, grabbing his neck with her hands and pushing him forward, easily pinning him against the railing. The man was already seriously injured, and Shangguan Ling was not very skilled, but he still couldn't break free from her restraints in a few tries.
"You know, I hate it most when someone betrays me or deceives me."
"I have not betrayed you, ever."
"It doesn't matter. You betrayed me when you kidnapped Shu Huai and injected him with drugs. You injected him with the new drug I had, and I never gave it to you. Why did you have it?"
Shangguan Ling tightened her grip on his neck.
The Chinese man's face changed.
"Didn't you ask someone to give it to me?"
"I never asked anyone to give you this, you fool."
Shangguan Ling kicked, and his lower back hit the railing. He flipped backwards and fell straight into the sea. Instinctively, he reached out and grabbed the railing and hung on it.
"You can't do this. I have worked hard for you even though I have no merits. If I die, you will lose a loyal person."
He didn't believe that Shangguan Ling would really just watch someone die without helping.
After all, it was she who rescued herself.
Shangguan Ling looked at him coldly, "Don't blackmail me morally, I don't need you."
As she spoke, she raised her hand and a silver light flashed. The sharp blade slashed the man's hand. The pain made him relax and his body fell down.
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw another person standing in the corner of the deck.
Fu Heming stood under the light, smiled and waved goodbye to him.
The Chinese man's pupils shrank slightly.
It's him! He was the one who gave me the drugs!
But before he could identify Fu Heming, he fell into the sea and was swallowed by the endless abyss, without a sound.
After Shangguan Ling dealt with him, she turned around and saw Fu Heming.
She put the knife away.
"This is what happens when you betray me."
She walked to Fu Heming, glanced at his face, and said in a calm voice, "I hope you will never betray me in this life."
After saying that, she walked past Fu Heming and returned to the room.
Fu Heming stood on the deck, looking at the place where the man disappeared.
For him, this is just the beginning.
"So many, are they all counterfeit money?"
Shu Yue opened the bag given to her by Shangguan Ling. It was full of M coins. She turned it over and over but couldn't tell that it was fake.
William took a stack of coins from her hand and said, "I have confirmed that they are all fake. My family is in business and they taught me to recognize coins since I was a child. This currency is very real, but the dark patterns are not made with special craftsmanship. Under the light, its dark patterns do not have bright colors. Real coins have colors."
As he spoke, he placed the real and fake paper money under the light, and it was exactly as he said.
"What about the money Shangguan Ling gave me?"
Shu Yue took out the money Shangguan Ling gave her, and William compared it.
"Everything I give you is real."
"The hundred thousand in currency is all fake. She must be running a counterfeit currency factory."
Song Xin was playing with the lamb she had kidnapped from the sheep pen and spoke casually.
Fu Jingshen came out of the kitchen with the milk tea he had made himself in his hand, and handed a cup to Shu Yue first.
"It's not impossible. Shangguan Ling has a lot of underground businesses. She even dares to touch drugs, so counterfeit money is even less worth mentioning to her. Since China can't make counterfeit money, then she can make it in Country M. It's also because she met William, otherwise most people can't recognize that it's fake."
