Chapter 439: Help Him
Fu Jingshen had a friend at the police station and asked him to have dinner with him in the evening. Because he was late due to a police call, he picked up his teacup and offered to drink three cups of tea instead of wine as a punishment when he saw Shu Yue and Fu Jingshen.
He was stopped by Fu Jingshen.
"You were late because you were on official business. What's the big deal about punishing you?"
The man smiled, put down the cup and sat down.
"This is my sister-in-law, right? She really is a perfect match for you."
"This is Cheng Chen, my junior from high school. He came back and was admitted to the police academy. He became a criminal police officer two years after graduation. He is very capable and has solved many major cases."
Fu Jingshen introduced the person in front of him to Shu Yue.
"Hello, my name is Shu Yue."
Shu Yue stretched out her hand to him. Cheng Chen glanced at Fu Jingshen and got his consent before he dared to shake hands with Shu Yue.
"Hello, sister-in-law. Just call me Xiao Cheng. I'm not as amazing as you say. I just help my master solve cases. It's all because of my master's amazing ability."
He is quite humble.
The waiter came in to serve the dishes. Cheng Chen looked at the expensive things on the table and then looked at Fu Jingshen. "Senior, this is a Hongmen Banquet."
"How can this be considered a Hongmen Banquet? I am just showing my basic hospitality. You work very hard, so don't be polite to me. Eat more."
Fu Jingshen's smile made Cheng Chen feel that there was something fishy going on.
He put down all the chopsticks he had picked up.
"Senior, I've studied psychology and micro-expressions. You can't hide it from me. Tell me, after this meal, what do you want me to do?"
"You haven't even started eating yet."
"Then I also want to know whether what you want me to do is difficult or not. If it is difficult, I won't dare to eat this meal."
Seeing that he continued to insist on knowing what it was first, Fu Jingshen didn't intend to hide it from him anymore and put some clues he had collected in front of him.
"I just want you to help me with some advice. Can we send the police to ambush and arrest him?"
Cheng Chen took the recorder he handed over, turned on the button and started listening.
He has been a criminal policeman for so many years and has met all kinds of people. Although the recording did not indicate what it was about, he could roughly guess it. However, it was difficult to use such a recording alone as direct evidence to initiate police dispatch.
"It's hard to explain the problem with this recording. I understood it, but it's not enough."
Cheng Chen returned the recorder to Fu Jingshen.
"I know this is far from enough, but I think I have to give it a try. What if he really does this kind of deal in private? I think you know better than me what it means for those children. This is not as simple as human trafficking. This is far more serious than trafficking. It is a crime against human ethics and morality."
Fu Jingshen personally poured a cup of tea for Cheng Chen and brought it to him.
"There's only so much I can do. You're better than me at catching bad guys."
Cheng Chen stared at the tea in front of him and frowned slightly.
"Senior, let me think about it."
"Okay, but there's not much time left. You have to give me an answer in these two days."
Cheng Chen laughed and said, "Senior, I am not your employee."
Fu Jingshen smiled without saying anything and motioned Cheng Chen to eat.
Cheng Chen sighed deeply, "Okay, I can go talk to my master about this matter. Whether to send the police or not depends on what my master says."
"Of course, you also have to tell me everything you know, so that I can better help you judge the risks of this operation."
Cheng Chen finally gave in.
Cheng Chen has no identity background. After graduating from the police academy, he was initially assigned to work as a grassroots police officer. However, because he helped a slandered child to seek justice, he was reported by a scammer and was then assigned to work as a traffic policeman to issue tickets. He stopped a motorcycle rider without a helmet, and when he was asking for the man's name and mobile phone number, the man started the car and ran away. He chased after him with great effort, only to find that the man had crashed into a Maybach on the side of the road.
The owner of the Maybach is Fu Jingshen.
After meeting that day, Cheng Chen was promoted soon after and then went to the current Criminal Police Brigade. Fu Jingshen didn't say it, but he also knew that it was Fu Jingshen who helped. He later invited Fu Jingshen to dinner.
Fu Jingshen didn't admit it, so Cheng Chen didn't ask any more questions.
Now he needs my help, I should repay this favor no matter what.
After chatting and eating for a while, Fu Jingshen offered to send Cheng Chen back home.
"No need, senior. I'm driving by myself. I understand almost everything. I'll tell my master when I get back. I'll try to get his approval, and we'll redefine and classify this case."
Fu Jingshen said, "Sorry to bother you."
"No trouble, I'll leave first. Goodbye, senior, and goodbye, sister-in-law."
He had taken a step forward when he suddenly remembered something and looked back with a smile.
"Senior, you must invite me when you get married. I will give you a big red envelope."
After saying that, Cheng Chen smiled and walked into his car.
Shu Yue watched him leave and poked Fu Jingshen's arm secretly. "You obviously know someone of a higher rank than him. It's easier for you to say hello than for him to do it. Do you want to give him a chance to make a contribution?"
"He has been in the Criminal Police Brigade for so many years, but his achievements have been taken away by others, and he has to bear the consequences of his hard work. Let's give him a springboard and help him out."
Fu Jingshen pulled Shu Yue towards the car.
"You are very nice to your junior."
"He only knows that we were in the same high school, but he doesn't know that we were in the same elementary school. He was a year younger than me, probably in the third grade, when I was nine and he was eight. My brother secretly asked someone to frame me and bully me, and he trapped me in the woods behind the cafeteria. Cheng Chen, who was half a head shorter than me, acted chivalrously and beat people with a broom, but he managed to save me."
Fu Jingshen himself found it funny when talking about this.
"He doesn't remember, but I do."
"Then he can be considered your savior." Shu Yue replied to him seriously.
Cheng Chen seems to be enthusiastic and reliable.
"Alright, half of it. I can still beat those guys. The Kung Fu I secretly practiced is not just a mediocre one."
Just as he was about to take action, he was unexpectedly rescued by Cheng Chen, who pulled him away and ran away.
"You are my real savior. Without you, I would not have been able to escape from the fire."
Fu Jingshen pinched Shu Yue's cheek, which was soft and felt very good.
"So you pledged your love to me, your savior."
Shu Yue looked at him with a smile, and opened her mouth to say something, but suddenly she started coughing. She subconsciously reached for a tissue from the car, covered her mouth with her hands and coughed twice. When she lowered her head, she saw a touch of red in the middle of the white. She subconsciously held the tissue and hid it in her palm.
"Are you okay?"
Fu Jingshen looked at her worriedly.
Shu Yue shook her head and silently stuffed the bloody tissue into her pocket. "It's okay. I just choked on my own saliva."
