Chapter 86: The changing world
When Shu Yue and Shu Huai were leaving, they met Shu Ziming, who was guarding outside He Na's ward. He was wearing a mask and a hat. He just stood there, leaning against the wall, holding a litchi rose in his hand. The rose was blooming delicately and was very beautiful, but it was out of place with the hospital environment.
Just as Shu Yue was about to say hello to him, the door of the ward opposite opened and He Na's agent shouted "doctor" in panic.
"Doctor, doctor, help me, doctor!"
When Shu Ziming heard the word "help", he rushed forward immediately.
"What happened to He Na?"
"She locked herself in the bathroom. I couldn't open the door. She didn't respond when I called her. I was afraid she might become depressed..."
The agent's voice was trembling. When Shu Ziming heard this, he immediately went in and knocked on the door, but no one responded to him. He gritted his teeth, took a few steps back, rushed forward, and kicked the door open.
He Na was lying on the ground, with the mirror shattered all over the floor. She was holding the glass shards tightly in one hand, and the wrist of the other hand was cut by the glass shards, leaving several scratches, and blood was still oozing out.
The scene before him made Shu Ziming’s face turn pale.
"He Na! Doctor, doctor, help me!"
The doctor arrived quickly, gave He Na emergency treatment, and then took her to the operating room for surgery.
This was the second time that Shu Ziming stood outside the operating room because of He Na. The scene just now lingered in his mind. It was a heavy blow to both his body and mind.
Shu Yue looked at Shu Ziming from afar, with a hint of heartache in her eyes.
[If I remember correctly, He Na should die. 】
When Shu Ziming suddenly heard this and looked up at Shu Yue, the doctor just came out of the operating room.
"The patient has lost too much blood and is in a deep coma. He needs a blood transfusion, but the hospital doesn't have much type B blood in stock. Maybe..."
"Doctor, I have type B blood, I can give her a blood transfusion!"
Shu Ziming raised his hand and stepped forward.
"Then go get a test first, and then we can arrange a blood transfusion if possible."
Shu Ziming tested positive for type B blood and donated a lot of blood to He Na, but He Na showed no signs of waking up. Shu Ziming remembered Shu Yue's words and asked the doctor worriedly.
"Doctor, why hasn't she woken up yet?"
"The patient has lost too much blood and needs to rest."
Shu Ziming was still worried, and the doctor stopped the blood transfusion when he saw that the condition was almost cured.
He Na still needs to be observed, and Shu Ziming was arranged to be in a single room because he was drowsy due to excessive blood transfusion.
Shu Yue and Shu Huai pushed Shu Chen over to see him.
"That's great. Two of our family members are in the hospital."
Shu Chen sighed, then let Shu Huai push him back to the ward to rest.
He had just laid down, staring at the ceiling without blinking, his eyes felt a little sore. He subconsciously raised his right hand to rub his eyes, but found it painful. Then he remembered that his right hand was injured.
Although he told others that he was fine, when it was late at night and he was alone, he couldn't help but think about all sorts of things. It felt like a stone was pressing on his heart, making it hard for him to breathe.
This incident also made him feel powerless and unable to escape fate. He couldn't help but think, if it was really as Shu Yue said, they would experience those hardships and everyone would die, then what would happen then?
As he was thinking about this, there was a knock on the door and Shu Chen came back to his senses.
"Come in."
Chen Xueer pushed the door open and walked in. The light in the corridor was warm, shining on her body. There was light all around her, and Shu Chen was stunned.
"Didn't I disturb your rest?"
Chen Xueer walked in quietly. Shu Yue sat up with difficulty and turned on the switch next to her. The light in the room came on.
"No, why are you here?"
Chen Xueer sat down, propped up her chin and stared at him, "Didn't you want me to come?"
"How can I have that?"
"Don't quibble. You wanted me to come, right?" Chen Xueer smiled with her eyebrows curved. Shu Chen was stunned for a moment.
Her face reflected in his eyes inevitably reminded him of the question he had just thought of. If the plot really could not be escaped, would Chen Xueer also have the same predetermined ending?
He seemed to be a little scared, afraid of losing everything he had, and even more afraid of losing Chen Xueer.
His tear fell unexpectedly, and Chen Xueer was frightened. She subconsciously reached out to wipe his tears, "No, I was joking, why are you crying?"
Shu Chen grabbed her hand, and the two of them were very close. The moment their eyes met, Shu Chen remembered the kiss in the cabinet, and he couldn't help blushing. He let go of her and lowered his head.
"No, my eyes hurt."
"Let me see."
Chen Xueer immediately held his face and blew into his eyes carefully with a serious expression, which made Shu Chen's heart soften.
If possible, it would be great if time could stop at this moment.
He doesn't want that damn ending where his family is broken up and his loved ones are killed. He hopes for a happy and fulfilling life. Even if this path is difficult to change, he will still try.
Shu Ziming seemed to be having a nightmare, his brows were furrowed and cold sweat was pouring down his face.
He saw bloody handprints all over the ground, crawling towards him little by little, and finally crawling on top of him. The invisible hands strangled his neck, making it impossible for him to breathe and causing him great pain.
When Shu Ziming struggled to wake up, it was already dark. He was not sure whether it was the first half of the night or the second half. He just felt a severe headache and had no strength in his body.
"Hurry, the patient in ward 603 has no heartbeat, go find Dr. Tang, hurry up!"
The voice of the nurse shouting outside reached Shu Ziming's ears, and he was stunned for a moment.
"Ward 603...He Na!"
Regardless of his physical discomfort, he got up and got out of bed. Shu Huai, who was guarding beside him, was startled by the noise. When he saw Shu Ziming running out, he hurriedly followed him.
The doctors and nurses all ran to Room 603, and Shu Ziming followed them, but was quickly kicked out. The door of the room was closed, and he had no idea what was going on inside.
"Third brother."
Seeing that his legs were weak and he was about to fall, Shu Huai quickly supported him.
Shu Ziming looked pale and very weak.
The doctor didn’t know how long they had been rescuing the patient inside. All he knew was that the first ray of sunlight shone in from the end of the corridor, bringing a bit of warmth to the cold hospital.
The doctor also came out of the ward. Before Shu Ziming had time to ask the doctor about the situation, he saw a bed pushed out and covered with a white cloth. He stopped and heard the doctor say.
"The patient in Room 603 has lost vital signs. Notify the family."
The suffocating feeling in the dream came to Shu Ziming's mind. He felt difficulty breathing and his whole body went limp like a puddle of mud.
Shu Huai supported him, his eyes full of worry.
"Third brother, are you okay?"
Shu Ziming didn't say anything, his eyes went dark and he fainted.
When Shu Yue got the news and rushed over, Shu Ziming had already woken up. He was sitting on the edge of the bed looking out the window, not knowing whether he was looking at the sun in the sky, the birds in the trees, or the people on the ground.
