Chapter 58 Why go back and suffer?

When Yang Xin came back from outside the palace that day, she thought the third prince would come to see her, but he didn't.

She went to see the Third Prince but couldn't see him, which made her even more uneasy.

If the Third Prince didn't like her, why would he keep her?

But if he liked her, why did he remain indifferent when he knew she had a relationship with the Fourth Prince?

She thought she understood the Third Prince best because of the books she read, but now she found out she was wrong.

"Miss, this is your letter."

The maid came in with the letter and handed it to the dazed Yang Xin.

Yang Xin took the letter, opened it, and took a look. "I'm going to be out for a while. You should go do what you need to do."

After saying that, he stood up and walked out of the room, found the dog hole he often crawled through, and crawled out skillfully.

After leaving the Third Prince's Mansion, she looked around and saw that no one was following her, so she crossed the street and headed towards the alley with confidence.

The alley became narrower and narrower. She turned a few corners and came to a yard, then opened the door and went in.

"What do you want from me?" She looked at Li Jia impatiently, "Didn't I tell you not to write to me? If the Third Prince knew you were in contact with me, do you think you could still stay by his side?"

If this woman wasn't still useful, she wouldn't bother to care about her anymore. How stupid of her to do that.

"It's not you I want to see, it's him."

Li Jia was angry, but didn't dare to say anything.

The third prince sent away all the beauties in the mansion, and she was no exception.

She had already fallen out with her family, so naturally she wouldn't go back. Besides, she didn't know whether the Cai family's marriage was settled or not, so she might be forced to marry if she went back.

After hearing this, Yang Xin noticed that there was indeed a person standing next to him. He had a scar on his face and a strong body, giving people the impression that he was very capable of fighting.

"What do you want from me?"

Yang Xin's tone towards him was obviously much better.

The man walked straight into the house and said, "Let's talk inside!"

When I went into the house, I found other people there.

These people are the staff that Yang Xin found for the third prince, and they are all remnants of the Yulou Kingdom.

She pulled out a chair and sat down calmly, looking at the scarred man who brought her in. "Tell me, what's the matter?"

The man was not polite and went straight to the point.

"Now that the virtuous concubine is gone, and Commander Deng is gone too, you have to tell us what the Third Prince is planning!"

Yang Xin narrowed her eyes and said, "Why are you so anxious? Hasn't anyone heard that haste can lead to failure? The Third Prince must have some plans."

After pacifying these people, Yang Xin left the yard and returned to the Third Prince's Mansion along the same route.

When passing by the study, he raised his hand and knocked on the door.

"Brother Chen, I have something to tell you."

The Third Prince opened the door with an indifferent expression, "I told you not to address me like that. Go back!"

As he said this, he was about to close the door.

Seeing this, Yang Xin directly put her hand across the crack of the door, her eyes red as she complained: "If you have the guts, just lock me up. You were the one who brought me back, why are you doing this to me now?"

Although the Third Prince did not treat her harshly, everyone in the palace looked at her differently, and some even secretly talked about how she had fallen out of favor.

In the past, these people didn’t have the courage to speak out, and even if they did, they would be punished by the Third Prince.

"Yang Xin, ask yourself, if you hadn't conspired with Mother, do you think I would have brought you back? And what about Li Jia? Didn't you have a hand in it?"

The words Yang Xin had prepared got stuck in his throat, and he was extremely shocked.

No wonder the Third Prince was so indifferent to her. It turned out that he knew all these things. What else did he know?

As if he had read her mind, the Third Prince continued, "I've also told you my identity, Mother."

It's not a questioning tone, but an affirmative tone.

"I know, but isn't it for your own good if I don't tell you?" Yang Xin sniffed. "Since you already know everything, you should avenge Concubine Xian and Commander Deng."

Yang Xin said this, but she almost cursed Concubine Xian to death in her heart. This person revealed the identity of the Third Prince. How could she brainwash the Third Prince into saying that the Emperor was not good to him in the future?

"For my own good?" The Third Prince sneered. "Is it for my own good, or do you have other plans? You said you're not from here and hope everyone is equal. You say that, but in your heart you really want to sit in a high position!"

Feeling her inner thoughts being seen through, Yang Xin lowered her eyes to hide the panic in them.

"I admit that I did approach you on purpose, but I really like you. If I didn't like you, I wouldn't have agreed to be your concubine. If I didn't like you, I wouldn't have broken up with my family. I came here for you."

Facing her confession, the Third Prince just stared at her, and after a moment he slowly spoke, "Yang Xin, it was not me who asked you to come here, nor was it me who asked you to break up with your family.

You said you're not from here, but what about the original Yang Xin? Where did she go? You took over her body and broke off relations with her family. Don't you think that everything you did was hurting her parents' feelings?"

The barrage of questions made Yang Xin breathless.

Going back?

She didn't want to go back. She was just an ordinary office worker and an orphan. She had finally come to this place. Not only did she not have to go to work every day, but she could also be praised for just a few lines of poetry she said. Why should she go back and suffer?

As for the real Yang Xin, how did she know where she went?

"I don't know where she went, but I was just helping her fight an unhappy marriage. It was never my intention to hurt her parents."

As a person of the new century, she would never accept an arranged marriage.

"Go back to your room. As long as you behave yourself, I won't treat you harshly." The third prince didn't want to say anything more.

Yang Xin pursed her lips and said, "Brother Chen, I will prove to you that everything I do is for your own good, whether you believe it or not."

After saying that, she ran away crying and bumped into Zi Yang who was coming over.

"Your Highness, what's going on? Do you need me to watch?"

The Third Prince shook his head and said, "Don't worry about her. Just keep an eye on those remnants of the Yulou Kingdom."

Yang Xin ran out of the house and went to the Fourth Prince's house.

Hearing that it was she who was looking for him, the Fourth Prince hurried out to take her in.

Seeing her eyes were red, he asked in confusion.

"What's wrong? Did you have a fight with the Third Brother?"

Hearing his question, Yang Xin's tears began to fall again. She lowered her head and said, "It's not a quarrel. Maybe I'm not gentle and considerate enough, nor am I a lady from a noble family, so..."

Before she could finish, the Fourth Prince interrupted her, "Who said that? Xinxin, you are different from others."

Otherwise he wouldn't have noticed her difference at first sight.

"But why doesn't he appreciate my kindness to the Third Prince?" Yang Xin felt much better after receiving the Fourth Prince's comfort.

The Fourth Prince pondered for a moment, "Perhaps there's something wrong with your approach, something that has offended him. You could look at what he cares about most, and starting from that wouldn't be wrong."

As soon as these words were spoken, Yang Xin suddenly understood.

She excitedly hugged the Fourth Prince's arm and said, "Thank you, Heng Rui."

Why didn't she think of it before? What the Third Prince cares about most is the stability of the court. What if she disrupts this stability?
