While he was thinking, the bridal sedan had already arrived at the gate of the East Palace.
"Get off the sedan chair."
Shi Ran came back to her senses when she heard the sound of the sedan chair being lowered. She raised her hand to open the curtain and stretched out her hand.
Her hand fell into a warm palm. Shi Ran was stunned and realized that the owner of the hand was the prince, not her maid.
"Thank you, Your Highness."
She thanked him, got out of the bridal sedan, and was helped by the prince into the East Palace. She went up the steps, then stepped over the fire basin and walked into the main hall to worship.
The emperor had been waiting for a while. When he saw the two of them come in, he smiled and indicated that they could begin.
After the two of them finished their wedding ceremony, Eunuch Cao presented the marriage certificate written by the emperor himself.
Shi Ran and the prince expressed their gratitude and offered tea before being escorted into the bridal chamber.
The fifth princess, the sixth princess, and Qin Qianqian stood aside to watch the ceremony. When they saw Yu Yiluo, they all walked towards her.
"You're all here."
Yu Yiluo smiled and her eyes fell on the people in red and white.
[The two guys in red and white must be envious to death.]
I thought after all this time, if White hadn't made any progress, Red would at least have some, but it turns out neither of them has. What a shame.
After listening to Yu Yiluo's thoughts, the Sixth Princess glanced at the woman in red, then looked away.
She seriously suspected that Hongyi was the scumbag that Luoer was talking about. She only knew how to tease him but had no intention of getting married.
"Before, you sent the Second and Third Imperial Sisters-in-law and Qin Qianqian to the border without taking me and Fifth Sister with you."
The Sixth Princess pursed her lips and showed a bit of grievance on her face when she mentioned this matter.
Yu Yiluo held his forehead with his hand.
[No, it's been so long, how come Sixth Princess still remembers it?]
"Sixth Sister, let's not talk about this today."
"Yes, Luo'er is worried about you too."
Qin Qianqian chimed in.
"That's right," Yu Yiluo rubbed her stomach, "I'm starving. I'm going to eat first."
Among the Thirty-Six Stratagems, escaping is the best.
The Fourth Prince and his companions came over and looked at Yu Yiluo who was slipping away, and asked in confusion.
"What happened to Luo'er?"
Even when running so fast, there is no need to worry about falling.
Yu Yiluo ran to the prince, exhaled, and felt a shadow covering her. She raised her eyes and met Li Yunhe's smiling eyes.
"Your Highness, what's wrong?"
"It's okay, I'm just hungry, let's go eat."
Li Yunhe was stunned for a moment, then followed with a feeling of being flattered.
The two walked to an empty table and sat down. Li Yunhe prepared food for Yu Yiluo and had someone bring the dishes over before sitting down next to her.
Yu Yiluo was indeed hungry. Now that her teeth had grown, she could eat more.
Seeing Li Yunhe sit down, pick up a pair of chopsticks and pick up some food for her, she blinked.
"You don't want to eat?"
Li Yunhe nodded, "I've eaten."
"Then why don't you try to get the Crown Prince drunk? Or maybe help him block the drinking?"
[If he gets drunk, I won't be able to peek into the bridal chamber.]
"Who are you helping to block the wine?"
Qian Jue strode towards the two of them and sat on the other side of Yu Yiluo.
Yu Yiluo glanced at Qian Jue, "When do you plan to return to Li Country?"
"Luo'er, you make me so sad." Qian Jue pretended to be hurt and covered his chest. "Before, you said that if I didn't want to go back to Li Country, I could live in Tianqi. It's only been two months, and you've already given up on me."
Yu Yiluo's face was full of black lines. "Why don't you tone it down? It's too contrived."
After talking it over with the Third Princess, I've really let myself go.
"Is it contrived?"
Qian Jue sat up straight and looked towards the Fourth Prince. "I learned this from your Fourth Prince. I plan to get him drunk when he gets married, to retaliate against him for bullying me recently."
Yu Yiluo ignored him and continued the previous topic with Li Yunhe.
Li Yunhe's cold expression softened a bit when Yu Yiluo spoke to him. While picking out fish bones for Yu Yiluo, he said, "The wine that His Royal Highness the Crown Prince was drinking has been replaced. It's not a problem."
"You are still insidious."
Yu Yiluo laughed out loud and gave Li Yunhe a thumbs up.
"Didn't you two notice that there's a living person sitting opposite you?"
Qian Jue looked at the two people who ignored him and deliberately raised his voice.
"I see," Li Yunhe said, not looking at him, raising the corners of his lips, "If you want to eat, just get your own bowl."
Yu Yiluo originally wanted to talk to Li Yunhe about something, but Qian Jue kept lingering and refused to leave. After the meal, she didn't even have a chance to ask Li Yunhe anything.
Qian Jue seemed not to realize that Li Yunhe disliked him, and he actually stood up to get the bowl and started eating.
…
Shi Ran sat upright on the big red wedding bed, while the sounds of clinking glasses and laughter outside faded away with the passage of time.
She kept thinking about how to face the prince in the bridal chamber at night.
No matter how calm she is in normal times, she is still an inexperienced young lady.
Thinking of this, I couldn't help but feel nervous.
"Miss, would you like me to bring you some food?"
The personal maid was worried that she was hungry, so she walked over to her and asked softly.
"No, it's against the rules."
"Madame Chang said that if you are hungry, you can eat something first. It won't be a problem."
While the two were talking, the door was pushed open.
"This servant pays homage to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince."
"Get up, you go down first."
The maid replied yes, retreated and closed the door.
Shi Ran listened to the approaching footsteps, his heart beating faster and he lowered his eyes.
Not shy, but nervous.
The prince picked up the scale beside him and lifted her veil.
The veil was removed, and Shi Ran looked up at the prince's gentle and handsome face. Before she could say anything, she saw the prince handing a plate of snacks to her.
