Chapter 11: I am her fiancé (1/2)

Jiang Yining decided to get married with He Chi. Since she had made up her mind, Zhang Qiao supported her.

But then she thought, Jiang Yining would move out after getting the marriage certificate, which dealt a heavy blow to Zhang Qiao.

The two have lived together for more than two years. Since Jiang Yining moved in, her quality of life has improved dramatically. She now has someone to share the housework with and keep her company.

Zhang Qiao was heartbroken and hugged Jiang Yining's arm. "Ningning, I can't bear for you to move out. Why don't you just live with me from now on?"

Of course this is impossible.

Jiang Yining hadn't thought about this problem yet, but now that Zhang Qiao brought it up, she had one more question to consider.

She will live with He Chi from now on!

With this matter weighing on his mind, Jiang Yining dreamed all night long, and He Chi was everywhere in his dreams.

She moved to He Chi's house, and the two of them lay on the same bed with He Xiaohui between them. When Jiang Yining dreamed of this scene, she was frightened awake.

When he woke up, it was already half past six. Jiang Yining was no longer sleepy, so he simply got up and made breakfast.

She made a small nest for He Xiaohui last night. She didn't know when it lay down next to her slippers. When Jiang Yining got up, she saw it still sleeping soundly.

When Zhang Qiao came out of the bedroom, she saw the breakfast Jiang Yining had prepared on the dining table. She felt even more reluctant to leave and sighed, "Why am I not a man?"

Jiang Yining was amused. "What nonsense are you talking about so early in the morning?"

"If I were a man, I would marry you."

"You're a non-marriageist. Even if you were a man, you wouldn't marry me." Jiang Yining took the steamed buns out of the pot. "Hurry up and eat breakfast, or you'll be late for work."

Zhang Qiao has been busy with a project recently, working overtime almost every day and returning to the company on Saturdays. He finally had a day off yesterday, but it was Monday again.

"This life is so boring."

As soon as I entered the company, I felt like a zombie.

She used to advise Jiang Yining not to become a teacher because it was boring and full of rules. Now she was glad that Jiang Yining was determined and did not give up after her persuasion.

Being a teacher is also difficult, but at least there are winter and summer vacations in a year to provide a buffer, while they can only look forward to the pitifully few holidays.

Jiang Yining helped her fill a bowl of porridge, and after hearing her resentful words, he teased, "How about we switch?"

"Let me be clear, our salaries aren't high, and we have to battle wits and courage with students every day."

Zhang Qiao sighed, "Forget it." She glanced at He Xiaohui who slowly came out of Jiang Yining's bedroom, "Life is like this, I'd rather be a cat than a human."

Complaining a lot, Zhang Qiao finished her breakfast and went out to work obediently.

After Jiang Yining finished cleaning up, he took He Xiaohui for a walk around the community before the temperature outside rose.

At about nine o'clock, Jiang Yining received a message from He Chi.

He Chi: [Could you please send me your ID number and phone number? I'd like to make an appointment for marriage registration online first.]

Jiang Yining sent the message, and ten minutes later he received a text message confirming that he had successfully made an appointment for marriage registration.

Seeing this text message, Jiang Yining woke up as if from a dream. She really had to get a marriage certificate. She became more and more nervous and wondered whether she should wear a white shirt when taking photos.

The shirts in her closet weren't very good-looking, so she looked online and found some couple's shirts with special patterns.

Jiang Yining found a few styles and asked He Chi if he wanted to buy two.

After sending the message, she didn't receive a reply from He Chi for a long time, which made her feel no mood to do anything the whole morning.

Jiang Yining picked up a foreign philosophy book and forced himself to read it for a while, but he couldn't concentrate at all.

She simply put the book aside and went to tease He Xiaohui, pulling the long hair around its mouth. "Why didn't your master reply to my message?"
