Chapter 139: Transaction (2/2)

Jiang Yining unlocked the phone neatly, ignored his joke, and looked through his photo album. Then, frowning, he asked, "Where's the video you recorded last night?"

He Chi curled his lips and said, "Of course I hid it. Such a precious video, how could I let others see it?"

"You should delete those videos."

Now when I think back to how they were singing and dancing in the bar last night, I feel so socially frustrated and embarrassed.

She knows that she is tune-deaf, so whenever her classmates or colleagues suggest going karaoke, she won't join in.

She must have been crazy last night.

He Chi was unwilling to delete it. He pulled the corner of his lip and said in a provocative tone, "No, my wife is so cute when she sings. I just play it when I'm bored while working overtime."

Jiang Yining was so angry that she grabbed his neck and said, "Delete it, otherwise, believe it or not..."

He Chi asked her amusedly, "Otherwise what?"

Jiang Yining thought for a while and felt that he had nothing in his hands that could threaten He Chi, as he was used to playing rogue.

"May you die young!"

She said threatening words, but she was reluctant to use force with her hands.

"I don't believe it."

He Chi was amused by her, "Okay, how about I make a deal with you?"

Jiang Yining let go of his hand and asked suspiciously, "What deal?"

"If you delete that photo of me when I was a kid, I'll hand over those videos of you singing."

If he hadn't told her, Jiang Yining would have almost forgotten the photo of him wearing open-crotch pants as a child.

She suddenly smiled and said, "I won't delete it. I just sing tone-deaf. It's nothing to be ashamed of."

Jiang Yining is no longer afraid that He Chi will use those videos to threaten her in the future. At worst, they will hurt each other.

In the evening, the couple went to Teacher Lin's place for dinner. When they opened the door, Jiang Yining smiled sweetly, "Mom."

Teacher Lin held her hand with a doting look in her eyes, "Yining, come in quickly, Mom bought you some down jackets, take a look and see if you like them."

When she was about to close the door, she saw He Chi still standing at the door. "Why are you standing outside? Do you want me to invite you in?"

He Chi: “…”

He said helplessly, "Mom, how can I get in if you're blocking my way?"

Teacher Lin ignored him and took Jiang Yining to try on clothes.

The light was dim at the door just now. When He Chi came to the living room, she saw the scar on his neck and asked, "He Chi, what's the matter with the scar on your neck?"

Jiang Yining blinked guiltily and tricked He Chi before he could say anything, "Mom, he scratched himself when he was drunk."

He Chi twitched the corners of his lips and looked at Jiang Yining with a half-smile, "Really? Why do I remember..."

Jiang Yining was afraid that he would talk nonsense, so she covered his mouth with her hand to stop him from speaking. She smiled at Teacher Lin and said, "Mom, he was very drunk last night and doesn't remember anything. Don't listen to his nonsense."

He Chi was happy.

This silly girl.

If she didn't cover his mouth, Teacher Lin would probably still believe it. What's the difference between this and confessing something?

Teacher Lin carefully observed the scratches on He Chi's neck and understood.

Young people are full of energy and it is understandable that they like to play.

Teacher Lin saw through it but didn't say anything. "Well...next time, drink less."

She ignored them and went back to her room to take out the down jackets she bought for Jiang Yining.

Last night, the old couple took some time to go shopping in the mall, planning to buy some winter clothes. When they saw some nice down jackets, they wanted to buy a few for Jiang Yining.

The tag had not been removed yet. Jiang Yining took a glance at it and saw a down jacket worth more than 20,000 yuan.

Teacher Lin helped her put it on. "This is of good quality. It's light but warm."

She smiled and said, "I bought three for you, and your dad and I each got two. It's a 15% discount, so it's a good deal."

He Chi helped bring out the food. Overhearing their conversation, he suddenly asked, "Mom, is there anything for me?" This chapter has been read (please click on the next chapter to continue reading!)
