Chapter 146: I Only Know That I Can't Live Without Her (2/2)

Chen Feng didn't agree immediately. "Ask your sister-in-law first."

He Chi opened his phone and took a look. His wife didn't like to post photos of herself on WeChat Moments, they were all scenery photos.

He clicked a like and then sent a message to Jiang Yining: [It’s so late, you’re still awake? ]

Jiang Yining quickly replied: [Sleeping now, are you at the bar or at home? ]

He Chi took a photo of the box: [In the bar.]

He originally wanted Jiang Yining and Zhang Qiao to live separately so that he could video chat with her at night.

But the two girls like to live together, which means he can only call her occasionally and has never video chatted with her.

While He Chi was typing with his head down, Song Xingjin opened his Moments, but there was nothing.

Chen Ran had slipped behind Song Xingjin at some point, "Brother Xingjin, did Sister Zhang Qiao block you?"

He opened his phone and showed it to Song Xingjin, "Look, I can see it."

Song Xingjin's expression turned a little grim. He pursed his lips and said, "It's her freedom."

He glanced at Chen Ran with a slightly cold look and said, "It's very rude to peek."

Chen Ran said, "Sorry, Brother Xingjin, I just happened to pass by, it was not intentional."

Song Xingjin met He Chi's gaze.

He Chi has always been at odds with him. Song Xingjin thought that He Chi would ridicule or make fun of him this time like he did before, but He Chi didn't.

He just looked at her calmly and said nothing.

After the party ended, He Chi was not in a hurry to leave.

Song Xingjin also stayed behind on purpose. After a long silence, he asked He Chi, "How can you be sure that you can stay with your wife forever?"

"Aren't you worried that you might have children and get divorced in the future?"

If someone else asked him this question, He Chi would definitely not give the other person a good look.

But this person was Song Xingjin, and He Chi didn't think his question was presumptuous because he knew that Song Xingjin was asking sincerely.

He Chi thought seriously for a moment, "I won't let things that haven't happened or won't happen at all hinder my progress."

"I just know that I need her now, and I won't let us get to that point."

He Chi was not afraid of Song Xingjin getting angry, so he said bluntly, "Your parents weren't together because of love, so it's normal that they couldn't be together in the end."

"You and Xingyu are the biggest victims of their failed marriage. I can understand what you are afraid of."

He Chi looked at him and sighed slightly, "But Song Xingjin, no one will always stand there waiting for you. Once you miss it, it may be a lifelong regret."

Song Xingjin poured himself a glass of wine, and after drinking it in one gulp, his throat suddenly felt hot.

He had concerns, "Zhang Qiao and I both oppose marriage. Two people who both oppose marriage are together..."

He Chi curled his lips and smiled, "Isn't that better? No one should look down on anyone else."

He lowered his head to stroke the cat and asked nonchalantly, "Don't you think it's a bit redundant to think so far ahead now?"

Song Xingjin pursed his lips and said nothing.

Only after rejecting Zhang Qiao did he realize the influence Zhang Qiao had on him.

Even though he avoided her, he still thought of her from time to time. As the project reached its end, he knew that his interactions with Zhang Qiao would become less and less.

He actually started to panic. This chapter has been read (please click on the next chapter to continue reading!)
