Jiang Yining found a sweater with a slightly higher collar and put it on, then checked herself in the mirror for a long time.
Before she came back, she bought gifts for her family. At the entrance, Jiang Yining bent down, opened the suitcase, and took out all the gifts.
"This is for you, see if you like it."
He Chi saw that Jiang Yining bought cashmere sweaters, alpaca wool scarves, and fluffy little toys for other people.
But what was given to him was perfume.
The corners of his lips curled up slightly, "Why did you think of giving me perfume?"
Compared with other people's gifts, his is obviously unique and romantic.
Jiang Yining packed up the other people's gifts and lowered her head without looking at him. "I bought it because I thought this scent suits you. Besides, don't you like perfume?"
He Chi dragged out an "oh," and said, "I understand."
Jiang Yining looked up at him and asked him in confusion, "What do you understand?"
He took her hand and walked out without saying a word, but just curled his lips meaningfully at her.
Jiang Yining reacted, blushed, and hurriedly explained, "I'm not..."
"Think about how many times I've worn perfume. Just twice."
He Chi looked at her as if to say, "Just explain. Explanation is covering up. I understand."
All right.
Jiang Yining simply stopped explaining.
He Chi’s cousin’s wife is a foreigner. Jiang Yining was originally worried about communication problems, but unexpectedly, she speaks standard Mandarin.
As soon as Luna saw Jiang Yining, she gave her a hug and expressed her love for her generously and enthusiastically, "Beautiful oriental girl, I like you very much."
Su Ming smiled and said, "Cousin, my wife is quite enthusiastic."
Jiang Yining could still hold on, she smiled and put her cheek close to Luna's.
She distributed gifts to everyone. Although they were just ordinary things, everyone was happy to accept them.
Teacher Lin touched the scarf Jiang Yining gave to Luna and said, "Yining, the material is quite good. A young teacher in my office bought a similar one, but it's not as good as yours."
"Mom, I have another one at home. I'll give it to you next time."
Teacher Lin smiled and shook his head, "Keep it for yourself."
"This color makes you look younger and suits you. Mom doesn't usually like wearing scarves, so this cashmere sweater suits me."
She glanced at He Chi across from her and said disdainfully, "No wonder people say daughters are thoughtful. Look at you, have you ever remembered to buy a gift for me and your dad?"
He Chi put his arm around Jiang Yining's shoulders.
He raised his lips and said, "Mom, let's not talk about anything else. Just say that I brought such a good daughter-in-law home for you, and you are still not satisfied?"
Teacher Lin smiled and said, "This is the only thing that satisfies me."
It's rare for the He family to be so well-rounded. Now that both of her grandsons have started their own families, Old Mrs. He has finally put her mind at ease.
She will be able to see her great-grandson in just over seven months, and now she looks very energetic.
But when she thought about her best friend who was so worried that she couldn't even eat, she sighed softly again.
Old Madam He looked at He Chi and said, "I heard that Xingjin has been looking for you whenever he has time these days. You should find a chance to persuade him."
He Chi was peeling an orange for Jiang Yining and didn't even look up. "What are you trying to persuade?"
Old Madam He picked up her cane and hit him lightly. "Still playing dumb with me. Of course I'm trying to persuade him to get married."
He Chi handed the peeled orange to Jiang Yining, wiped his hands with a tissue, and replied nonchalantly, "I didn't even know I had the potential to be a matchmaker."
Mrs. He: “…”
Still so infuriating.
Jiang Yining came over and whispered to him, "He Chi, I think you can develop a side business in this area."
She could guess what Song Xingjin wanted to do by looking for He Chi.
