Chapter 59: After all, I married her with all my might (1/2)

Jiang Yining didn't care about being shy and was amused by He Chi.

After He Chi changed the subject, Jiang Yining simply forgot about buying gifts.

About ten minutes later, He Chi's car slowly slowed down in front of an iron gate. After the security guard opened the door, he drove in.

The road is lined with green lawns on both sides of the luxurious manor villa, with a pavilion in the middle for resting, and a cobblestone path winding along the lawn.

He Chi's car stopped in the garage and he glanced at Jiang Yining who was sitting in the passenger seat.

She comforted him, "Grandma and Auntie are both very easy to get along with. They've been looking forward to meeting you for a long time. Don't be nervous."

Jiang Yining forced a smile at He Chi and asked, "Does grandma usually live alone at home?"

He Chi hummed, "Aunt and uncle come back occasionally, and my parents come back to stay for a while during the winter and summer vacations."

This manor villa is very big. Jiang Yining got out of the car with He Chi. She was very nervous and she really shouldn't come empty-handed.

Her marriage to He Chi was already above her station.

Although Teacher Lin likes her, she doesn't know whether He Chi's grandmother and aunt really accept her.

As soon as they entered the door, a middle-aged woman looked at her and He Chi with a smile, "You're back, the old lady has been waiting for you."

He Chi introduced Jiang Yining, "This is the Aunt Fang I mentioned to you."

Jiang Yining greeted politely, "Hello, Aunt Fang."

Aunt Fang had long heard that Lin Shu was very satisfied with her as a daughter-in-law, and He Chi was the only son of He Yuwen and Lin Shu.

She was a sensible person. When she saw Jiang Yining, she smiled and praised him, "You are really good-looking and have a good temperament. No wonder the lady likes you."

Aunt Fang reminded He Chi, "It's a coincidence today. Auntie came with her daughter-in-law and niece to visit the old lady. They are in the living room now."

Hearing this, He Chi frowned slightly and his expression darkened.

Jiang Yining is not stupid either. Judging from He Chi's reaction, there must be something behind this.

He Chi didn't say anything. He reached out and took Jiang Yining's hand, then led her into the living room.

Before entering, Jiang Yining heard laughter coming from the living room.

There was a woman about the same age as Teacher Lin, who was dressed elegantly and kept chatting and laughing with the old lady, but their actions did not seem very intimate.

Jiang Yining guessed that this person was the aunt that Aunt Fang mentioned.

When she and He Chi appeared in their sight, everyone fell silent.

Lin Shu extended his hand towards Jiang Yining and said with a smile, "Yining, come here."

She introduced everyone to Jiang Yining, "This is grandma."

Jiang Yining looked at the kind and sober old woman in front of him and called out softly, "Hello, grandma."

Old Mrs. He had once fallen out with He Chi because of his work, but after they reconciled, she had been looking forward to his marriage.

Now that He Chi brought his grandson's wife to her, she was naturally happy.

Lin Shu introduced everyone present to her one by one.

Aunt He Qingwen, uncle Su Yuan, and then there is my cousin who came to visit today, her daughter-in-law Sun Qian, and niece Li Luo.

Old Madam He pulled Jiang Yining to sit beside her and said with a chuckle, "He Chi is so lucky. Your mother mentioned you to me a long time ago. You have a good personality and are a sensible and motivated child. I never thought that you would be my granddaughter-in-law now."

He Qingwen smiled and said, "Mom, this is fate. Look, Yining is my sister-in-law's favorite student, and we are both teachers."

Jiang Yining felt a little uncomfortable after being praised so much, and she could only smile modestly.

Fortunately, Teacher Lin was sitting on her right. She naturally leaned towards Teacher Lin and turned her head like a child to ask for help.
