Chapter 7: Not Welcomed (1/2)

Lin Shu's voice was quite loud, and He Yuwen was too lazy to repeat it, "You heard what your mother said."

He Chi hummed lazily.

After Lin Shu opened the door and left, He Yuwen warned, "Don't make your mother angry these days. You're almost thirty years old. The children of our school teachers, who are your age, would have already started a family and established a career."

"It's no wonder your mother is angry, He Chi. You did act a little too recklessly."

When I hung up the phone, the office door was pushed open from the outside.

He Chi glanced up casually.

He Jin had been out of town for some business these days, and just returned to the store. Not only did he hear that He Chi, who rarely came back to the store, had come over these two days, he also heard some gossip.

As soon as he came in, He Jin asked, "Have you been in the store these two days?"

He Chi didn't even raise his head, looking at the account book on the computer, "You're not here, I have to come back and take care of it."

There is nothing wrong with this.

He Jin looked at He Chi for a few times and felt that He Chi was no different from before.

He leaned over and asked jokingly, "I heard from Chen Ran and the others that you brought your girlfriend to the bar the day before yesterday."

"When did you get a girlfriend? Why don't you bring her here for us brothers to meet?"

He Chi: “…”

His expression didn't change at all. Instead of answering, he asked, "You believe what Chen Ran said? This kid is just making up stories. He can even make up lies."

In addition to being high school classmates, He Jin and He Chi are also friends for many years, and now they have opened a bar together.

He didn't believe Chen Ran's words, but several people in the bar said that they saw He Chi talking and laughing with a girl the night before.

He Jin knew He Chi's personality very well. This guy was very arrogant, but he had never seen him show any interest in any girl. He was really curious.

But looking at him now, it seems that Chen Ran and the others were exaggerating.

When He Chi left the office, he met Chen Ran coming out of the box on the second floor.

Chen Ran wanted to hide, but He Chi grabbed the back of his collar. He had no choice but to turn around and say with a flattering smile, "Brother Chi."

He Chi was unmoved and pulled the man aside. "Did you tell anyone that I brought my girlfriend to the bar?"

"Brother Chi, this is unfair! I only said I was a female friend, I don't know which idiot said it was my girlfriend."

He Chi snorted, seeing through his little thoughts at a glance, "You didn't correct it either, did you?"

Chen Ran scratched his head and smiled slightly guiltily.

This kid keeps talking like an old lady at the village entrance all day long. Normally, He Chi doesn't bother to care about him when it doesn't involve him, but now he is also suffering from his behavior.

He was too lazy to waste time talking to Chen Ran, and said threatening words in a calm tone, "Chen Ran, if you keep talking nonsense, I will let your brother take you back."

Chen Ran surrendered, "Brother, you are my brother. I was wrong. I will never talk about you again."

After saying that, he smiled and said, "But Brother Chi, don't blame me for being nosy. I have to talk to you about this."

He Chi raised his eyebrows slightly and said, "Tell me, I want to hear what ivory you can spit out of your mouth."

Chen Ran took the initiative and hooked his arm around He Chi's shoulders. He was not tall enough, so he even raised his feet. "Brother Chi, my brother and my sister-in-law got married and divorced, and now they are planning to remarry."

"You should be anxious about your life's major events. Aunt Lin even asked my mom to introduce you to a girl for a blind date. You and my brother have been friends for so many years, why don't you learn from him how to pursue girls?"

Seeing that He Chi didn't hit him, Chen Ran grew bolder. "I think Sister Yining is a good match for you, and she's single too. Are you sure you don't want to give her a try?"

He Chi replied lightly, "I think you really don't want to stay here anymore."

Hearing this, Chen Ran quickly released his hand from He Chi's shoulder and ran downstairs as if he was running for his life.
