Chapter 9: Would you consider marrying me? (2/2)

It was too hot outside, and the air conditioner in the car had already started to work. Jiang Yining shook his head, "No need."

She took out her cell phone and saw that it was her aunt calling. In an instant, a bad premonition came to her mind.

After Jiang Yining answered the phone, she held it to her ear away from He Chi and said, "Aunt."

Jiang Yufang first asked a few questions about Jiang Yining's life, and then told him the reason for her call, "Ningning, your father asked me if I knew any boys your age."

"My niece is so beautiful and has a good job. My aunt thought you were in a relationship, so she didn't worry about you."

Jiang Yining glanced at He Chi from the corner of her eyes. Seeing that he was looking at his phone, she lowered her voice and said, "Aunt, you don't need to worry about me."

Jiang Yufang laughed a few times and asked, "Ningning, tell your aunt the truth, are you in a relationship, but you just don't want your father and your aunt Hong to know?"

Jiang Yining was helpless, "No."

Listening to the tone of Jiang Yining's answer, Jiang Yufang knew that he was not perfunctory. "In that case, Auntie will help you find someone."

Jiang Yining was embarrassed. "No, I don't need it, Auntie. I'm busy now. Can we talk later?"

After dealing with Jiang Yufang, Jiang Yining felt exhausted. She had clearly told her father that she didn't want them to interfere, but he still went to find her aunt.

He Chi heard her sigh. Being in the same small space, he had very sensitive hearing and it was impossible for him not to know what they were talking about.

Both of them were facing the same trouble. Jiang Yining raised his eyes, and the moment they looked at each other, they smiled helplessly at the same time.

He Chi chuckled and said, "I was forced by Teacher Lin to go on a blind date that day at the cafe, so I made up an excuse."

Jiang Yining understood what he wanted to express.

He put one hand on the steering wheel and started the car after saying this.

Jiang Yining actually didn't want to mention the blind date in the cafe. She was concerned about meeting He Chi in such an embarrassing situation.

But now that He Chi mentioned it himself, Jiang Yining felt relieved as if a stone had been lifted from his heart.

Every adult has his or her own difficulties. It was Zhao Hong's fault for treating her like that, not hers.

He Chi first went to the pet store and bought a small bag of cat food and necessary tools.

He originally wanted to leave He Xiaohui at his parents' house, where there was a pet shop near the community, and planned to go shopping later.

I never thought of letting He Xiaohui take care of Jiang Yining.

After coming out of the pet shop, He Chi asked Jiang Yining for the address.

In the car, Jiang Yining asked He Xiaohui about his usual habits.

He Chi said lazily, "Just give it some cat food. It's too hot, so there's no need to take it out for a walk."

Jiang Yining turned around and looked at He Xiaohui pitifully. He looked very similar to his owner and both looked equally cold.

When they arrived at the destination, He Chi found a shady place to park the car. He opened the door and let He Xiaohui get out.

He himself was also surprised that He Xiaohui was willing to get close to Jiang Yining and was willing to go with her.

He Chi took the things he bought from the pet store out of the trunk. The things were not heavy, so he handed them to Jiang Yining.

Jiang Yining looked up at him and said, "Then I'll go back first. Contact me when you come back..."

Speaking of this, Jiang Yining remembered that she had no contact information for He Chi.

It seemed that He Chi had thought of this as well. He raised his thin lips slightly, as if smiling, "Would it be convenient for me to add WeChat?"

Jiang Yining was stunned for a moment, then took out his phone and said, "Sure, scan me."

His WeChat profile picture was a silhouette of his back, and Jiang Yining knew it was him at a glance.

Jiang Yining was still looking down at her phone when suddenly, He Chi's magnetic voice came from above her head. He called her name, "Jiang Yining."

Jiang Yining raised her eyes, a hint of confusion flashed in her moist almond-shaped eyes. She wanted to ask He Chi if there was anything else he wanted to tell her.

She moved her lips but didn't speak because He Chi spoke first.

He asked, "Jiang Yining, would you consider marrying me?" This chapter has been read (please click on the next chapter to continue reading!)
