He Chi received a call from the kindergarten teacher in the afternoon, saying that three children were fighting and Chu Yi scratched the boy's face.
He was discussing cooperation with someone at the time and didn't have time, so Teacher Lin and others went to handle it.
He Chi checked his daughter's face and arms, and was relieved to see that she was not injured. He wiped her tears and said, "Be good, wait for daddy here for a while."
A few minutes later, He Chi came over and stood facing the wall.
Little Chuyi asked in confusion, "Dad, are you also being punished to stand?"
He Chi rubbed his head and said, "Yes."
Hearing this, Xiao Chuyi laughed disloyally.
He Chi asked his daughter, "Why are you fighting?"
"Because he bullied my friend and beat her until she cried, shouldn't I bully her back?"
He Chi laughed. This was the same answer he gave after Jiang Yining finished talking to him.
Then Jiang Yining sent her here to meditate with her daughter.
Ten minutes later, Xiao Chuyi smiled and showed her little watch to He Chi, "Dad, Mom told me to stand until seven o'clock, I can do it now."
He Chi grabbed her hand and said, "Stand with Dad for a while."
"No."
As the footsteps approached, both father and daughter looked over.
Jiang Yining half-knelt down and looked at his daughter at eye level. "Yi Yi, do you know you are wrong?"
Xiao Chuyi picked at her hands, lowered her head, and said aggrievedly, "Mom, I don't think I'm wrong."
He Chi wanted to say something, but after looking at Jiang Yining, he stopped talking and didn't dare to speak.
Jiang Yining said patiently, "Yiyi, Mom always tells you that no matter what happens, the first thing to do is to go to the teacher, not to take action."
"It's wrong to fight. You have to protect yourself. And if you fight with a boy, what if you get hurt?"
Xiao Chuyi nodded, not quite understanding.
Jiang Yining didn't know whether her daughter remembered her words, but He Chi did listen to them.
The man enrolled his daughter in Taekwondo the next day.
Jiang Yining had no objection. He just regarded it as a way to protect himself, as long as his daughter was willing.
That day, He Chi went to the Taekwondo gym to pick up Xiao Chuyi and take her home.
He held her schoolbag in one hand and hugged her in the other.
Little Chuyi asked, "Dad, did I do something wrong before?"
He Chi thought for a moment and said, "It's not your fault, but Yi Yi, Mom is right. We can't take action first. We need to find a teacher and protect ourselves first."
"Well, Dad, what if the teacher is not around and someone bullies me?"
He Chi held her in his arms as they walked down the street. Seeing a flower shop not far away, he answered his daughter's question, "Then you can subdue him. This is called self-defense. Do you understand?"
Xiao Chuyi hummed, "I understand."
She pointed to the flower shop in front with surprise, "Dad, there is a flower shop. Let's go buy flowers for Mom."
He Chi had exactly this intention.
The father and daughter chose a bunch of pink peonies that Jiang Yining liked.
When she got home, Xiao Chuyi ran towards Jiang Yining holding a bouquet of flowers, "Mom, look at the flowers Dad and I brought you."
Jiang Yining took it with great surprise.
"Mom, do you like it?"
Jiang Yining hugged his daughter and kissed her little face, saying with a curved lip, "I like it. Thank you, baby."
He Chi raised his eyebrows slightly, "We bought the flowers together, why don't you thank me?"
Jiang Yining stood up and tiptoed, originally intending to kiss him on the face.
Unexpectedly, the man held the back of her head and kissed her twice on the lips in front of her daughter before he was satisfied.
Xiao Chuyi covered her eyes and said, "Daddy, shame on you."
Jiang Yining was amused by her.
