Chapter 126: Had a fight?

Chapter 126: Had a fight?

Jiang Yining had just finished taking a shower and had a faint fragrance on her body, which made He Chi feel itchy.

He kissed Jiang Yining's cheek, kissed her slender white neck, and nibbled her collarbone.

Jiang Yining trembled slightly. His short hair pricked her skin and hurt. His warm breath was like feathers, sweeping over her skin again and again, itching and stirring her heart.

She reached out and gently pushed his head away.

He asked casually, his voice still slightly hoarse, "What are you thinking about tonight?"

Jiang Yining wanted to tell him later, but since he asked now, her tone became more serious. "He Chi, do you think we should consider having a child?"

He Chi paused, not caring about the kiss anymore, raised his head and asked, "Why?"

Jiang Yining expressed his thoughts, "I saw that grandma was very energetic before. She might be looking forward to seeing her great-grandson."

She guessed that He Chi might have said something to them before, and said, "No one in the family dared to mention this matter recently. Grandma was just talking halfway..."

He Chi understood.

He held Jiang Yining for a while before speaking, "We are not ready to be parents yet. We can't make hasty decisions just to meet our family's expectations. This is very irresponsible."

He Chi held Jiang Yining's face and lowered his head slightly to meet her eyes.

After taking a shower, her facial skin was clear and clean, and her red lips were moist and shiny.

He Chi couldn't help but kiss her and asked gently, "Don't you think so?"

Jiang Yining pursed her lips that had just been kissed by He Chi, raised her eyes and said, "Of course I understand what you are saying, but..."

She didn't continue. "It's really not good to have a child before you're ready."

He Chi hugged her and said, "It's okay. I've been staying at home to take care of grandma these days. Maybe I'm too content now. She has nothing to worry about and keeps thinking about grandpa."

After a pause, he said in a somewhat assholeish manner, "Looks like I have to find something for her to worry about."

Jiang Yining: “…”

Filial piety truly brings strength.

She reminded He Chi, "Pay more attention to grandma and chat with her when you have time."

He Chi hummed, "I know, don't worry."

Jiang Yining likes her current big family very much. Everyone is very nice and she hopes that everyone in her family can be happy.

She took a deep breath and said, "Okay, I have to correct the papers."

Then he began to urge He Chi to take a shower. After thinking for a while, he said, "Let's go see Sun Qian and her son tomorrow."

"If my parents and aunt don't go, and we don't go either, I'm afraid my aunt will say something."

He Chi said indifferently, "She can say whatever she wants. It depends on whether I pay attention to her or not."

He Chi felt unhappy when he recalled how his aunt had tried to match him up with her niece. "She didn't learn to be a good elder, so don't blame me, a junior, for being disrespectful to her."

"Besides, I don't have much contact with my cousin. He indulged his mother's mischief before, and I scolded him, and our relationship has become even worse. It's best if our two families don't have any contact in the future."

Jiang Yining originally planned to take a look at Sun Qian's newborn baby to see if he was averse to children.

Since He Chi said so, Jiang Yining gave up the idea and agreed with He Chi, "If you don't want to go, then don't go."

In the afternoon, Xiang Chuan told He Chi that he and Zhu Qingya would take a break tomorrow, and asked He Chi if he wanted to come over for dinner.

He Chi originally didn't plan to go over.

He guessed that his wife probably hadn't gotten over what he had just said, so he wanted Zhu Qingya to enlighten her.

When He Chi came out of the shower, he saw Jiang Yining correcting test papers with a sad face. He walked lightly and didn't dare to ask her.

He first went to Xiang Chuan and told him that he and Jiang Yining were going there tomorrow.

Xiangchuan: [Ask your wife what she wants to eat tomorrow. I'll ask the aunt at home to prepare it in advance.]

He Chi replied: [Maybe later. I don’t dare to ask now.]

Xiang Chuan saw the message and showed his phone to Zhu Qingya, "I wonder if the couple had a fight."

Zhu Qingya took Xiangchuan's phone and asked He Chi: [Did you have a fight?]

He Chi didn't know it was Zhu Qingya asking, so he thought it was Xiang Chuan: "Do you think I dare to argue with my wife? She's grading students' midterm exam papers."

He added: "When I was little, whenever Teacher Lin graded my papers, I had to keep my tail between my legs. Now that I'm married, I still have to behave myself when faced with such things."

Zhu Qingya threw the phone to Xiang Chuan and couldn't help but praise him, "Good job Yining, you just can't let a man overpower you."

On the morning of the next day, He Chi took Jiang Yining there.

He Chi and Xiang Chuan went to the study to discuss something, and just left the living room for them.

Jiang Yining probably wondered why He Chi brought her here, and she told Zhu Qingya what she had said to He Chi last night.

Zhu Qingya advised her, "Yining, as someone who has been through this, I advise you to listen to He Chi."

"You are only 27 years old this year, still young, and you and He Chi have just been married for a short time, so it's the time of love and affection."

Zhu Qingya touched her still flat belly and said, "After having a child, most of my time and energy are devoted to the child. Life is completely different from before."

"Although He Chi is mature enough and your financial situation is good enough that you can hire an aunt to take care of him, as parents, we still can't completely trust others to take care of him. There are many things to worry about."

Zhu Qingya added, "People will eventually leave, and Grandma He Chi is such a clear-headed person, she definitely doesn't want you to do anything to meet her expectations."

Jiang Yining thought carefully about what Zhu Qingya said.

His family members had mentioned it occasionally before, but Jiang Yining didn’t really take it seriously.

But later, her family was afraid of putting pressure on her and didn't dare to tell her about it. Their cautiousness made her think too much.

She thought that she and He Chi had no intention of being DINKs, it was just a matter of time. She didn't want her grandmother to feel regretful one day...

But Zhu Qingya was right. Grandma didn't want her and He Chi to welcome a new life just to satisfy their family's expectations.

Jiang Yining smiled at Zhu Qingya, "Sister Qingya, I figured it out."

Zhu Qingya reached out and gently pinched her face, and said with a doting look in her eyes, "Just think it through."

She told Jiang Yining about what happened last night, "He Chi actually told Xiang Chuan that if you have a daughter in the future, he wants my son to be your son-in-law."

Jiang Yining: “…”

This person is still worried about something that doesn't exist.

She smiled and said, "Sister Qingya, don't worry about him."

Zhu Qingya didn't care, she just mentioned it to Jiang Yining because she thought it was funny.

When He Chi and Xiang Chuan came out, they saw Jiang Yining and Zhu Qingya talking and laughing, and they knew that Zhu Qingya had persuaded them.

After returning home, he restrained himself for two days. Only after Jiang Yining finished grading the test papers did he mention to Jiang Yining that his birthday was approaching.

He Chi mentioned it for several days in a row.

This was the first time they celebrated their birthday together after getting married. Jiang Yining took it very seriously and wanted to give He Chi a good gift.

But he was not satisfied with any of it.
