Chapter 147: A Short Separation Makes You Happy

Chapter 147: A Short Separation Makes You Happy

As New Year's Eve approached, He Chi took He Xiaohui back to the He family. He gave his employees a week's holiday and spent two days leisurely lying at home.

Su Ming brought his girlfriend back to China to celebrate the Spring Festival together.

To be precise, it was his wife who had already obtained a marriage certificate abroad. That night, Su Ming announced another more surprising news in front of the whole family.

His wife has been pregnant for more than a month.

He Qingwen was happier than anyone else. The family of three finally got together to celebrate the New Year. Su Ming also brought his girlfriend home. In seven months, she would become a grandmother.

Except for He Chi and He Xiaohui, who were in a calm mood, everyone in the family was grinning from ear to ear.

He Chi was silently counting the days until Jiang Yining would return when he heard Su Ming ask him:

"Cousin, why do you look unhappy?"

Lin Shu smiled and shook his head. "Don't worry about him. Your cousin's wife is out having fun. He's been like this these days."

On New Year's Eve, He Chi kept an eye on Jiang Yining's flight information after getting up in the morning.

At one o'clock in the afternoon, he arrived at the airport parking lot on time. After parking the car, He Chi sent a message to Jiang Yining: "Wife, I'm at Exit P5. You can see me after you come out and walk a few steps forward."

Ten minutes later, Jiang Yining and Zhang Qiao came out dragging their suitcases.

She asked, "Qiaoqiao, do you really not need us to take you back?"

Zhang Qiao checked the real-time information on the app. The driver was almost there. She smiled and said, "No need, really. A little absence is better than a new marriage. I won't bother you."

At the P5 exit, Jiang Yining saw He Chi at a glance.

The tall and slender man was wearing a black coat and standing next to the Land Rover with a sharp aura. He was quite eye-catching and attracted passers-by to look back frequently.

Jiang Yining pulled the suitcase, quickened his pace, and without caring about the eyes of others, he threw himself into He Chi's arms and gave him a big hug.

He Chi held her firmly, curled his lips, and seemed a little surprised by her enthusiasm.

She raised her head from his arms and looked around. Passersby were looking at her and He Chi. Jiang Yining opened the passenger door and got in with a red face.

Liu Hechi helped her put the suitcase in the trunk.

After He Chi got in the car, he asked Jiang Yining, "Are you tired?"

Jiang Yining shook his head. "It was okay. Although it took a while, the business class cabin was spacious and I got a good sleep on the plane."

When she came back from a trip out, she looked much brighter than before, but also a lot darker.

He Chi looked at her, wanting to say something but stopping himself, and in the end he didn't dare to say a word.

It was summer in New Zealand, and they were outdoors almost every day. Jiang Yining didn't even feel that her skin color had gotten any darker there.

She opened the makeup mirror, looked at herself in the mirror, then turned to look at He Chi.

After a few minutes, she frowned and turned to look at He Chi in distress, "Do you think I'm as dark as you?"

He Chi paused as he was steering the wheel.

What is meant to come will come.

Finally, he smiled helplessly and asked her, "Wife, what do you want to hear from me?"

Jiang Yining: “…”

Okay, she doesn't want to hear it.

When the car entered the city, Jiang Yining realized that He Chi was not driving towards the He family villa, but back to Yuhubancheng.

She asked in confusion, "Today is New Year's Eve, aren't we going back directly? Mom just sent a message asking where we are?"

Just as they were about to wait for the green light, He Chi opened WeChat and sent a voice message to Teacher Lin: "Mom, we'll go back tonight. He Xiaohui is in my room. Go carry him to the living room and help take care of him."

Jiang Yining finally realized what He Chi meant when he asked her "Are you tired?" when he first got in the car.

Her cheeks grew hot and she turned her head to look at the scenery outside the car window.

After sending the voice message, He Chi threw the phone aside. When the green light came on, he glanced at Jiang Yining and saw that the back of her head was facing him.

One side of her hair was tucked behind her ear, revealing the pink tip of her ear.

Seeing this, He Chi curled his lips and smiled silently.

Twenty minutes later, the black Land Rover was parked steadily in the parking space, and He Chi got out first to get her suitcase.

The two walked home hand in hand without saying a word.

There were other people in the elevator. The couple stood aside calmly and entered the house. He Chi let go of the suitcase and hooked his arm around her waist, pulling her close to him.

Jiang Yining cooperated by hugging his neck and looking up.

When their lips touched, it was like a whirlwind of passion, and it was out of control.

The man was still paying attention to her rhythm at first, but his patience soon ran out. He pushed her against the wall and kissed her hard and fast.

It was as if all his thoughts for the past half month were put into this kiss. At this moment, the kiss could no longer satisfy He Chi's heart.

Jiang Yining was wearing a long off-white coat with a belt tied around her waist. In the blink of an eye, her coat fell to the ground.

She was wearing only a vacation slip dress underneath.

He Chi raised his eyebrows slightly, pinched her waist and carried her to sit on the cabinet in the entrance hall. He kissed her all the way down her neck and asked in a low and sexy voice, "Did you miss me?"

His hot breath on her skin caused a tingling sensation.

Jiang Yining still managed to retain a trace of rationality. She hugged He Chi and said, "I want to."

The two of them took a deep breath, and Jiang Yining said, "He Chi, I want to take a shower first. I feel sticky and uncomfortable."

He Chi followed her instructions, picked her up by her legs, and carried her back to the master bedroom.

After using up the supplies in the bathroom, He Chi carried her out.

When Jiang Yining thought he could take a break, the man pressed down on him again, and the rapid and heavy breathing sounds began to rise and fall in the master bedroom again.

She was almost suffocating.

The floor heating at home was on and it was already warm. Not long after taking a shower, Jiang Yining felt sweating again.

When He Chi came in, she ran her fingertips across his muscular back. She bit her lip, but couldn't stop the ambiguous moan from escaping her lips.

Since they began to recuperate, the two of them have never been as unrestrained as they are today.

It is true that a short separation is better than a new marriage.

Today, this man seemed to be using all the energy he had been holding back for half a month.

Jiang Yining called out softly, "He Chi..."

There was no other way, so she could only remind him, "I don't want to drink that bitter and smelly Chinese medicine anymore."

Hearing this, He Chi slowly stopped, hugged her to calm his breathing, and prepared to take a nap before going back.

He Chi felt a little regretful that she couldn't control herself for a moment. She had just taken a flight for more than ten hours to come back.

He bent down and kissed her forehead, then asked worriedly, "Do you feel unwell now?"

Jiang Yining was extremely tired. She raised her eyes and looked at He Chi eagerly, "No, I just don't want to move."

He Chi chuckled and ruffled her hair. "Rest for a while. I'll take you to take a shower later."

He added deliberately, "You don't have to move."

Jiang Yining felt that He Chi was almost becoming a worm in her stomach.

She accepted He Chi's service calmly.

Around seven o'clock, Teacher Lin called He Chi and said, "He Chi, tonight is New Year's Eve. We still have to have a reunion dinner together. Your cousin's wife is coming home for the first time..."

He Chi saw that Jiang Yining had also woken up. After checking the time, he said, "I know. I'll be back soon. I'll be there around 7:30."

There were still fifteen minutes until seven o'clock. Teacher Lin reminded them, "Don't worry. It's New Year's Eve and there's a traffic jam outside. Just get there before eight o'clock. The banquet won't start that soon."

Jiang Yining heard it all. It was probably because Teacher Lin guessed what she and He Chi were going to do by returning to their own home, so he urged them in a very tactful way.
