Chapter 56: You are already married, so don’t be embarrassed about your husband

He kept getting closer, and Jiang Yining could only move quietly to the side.

He couldn't just tell the truth and say that she wanted to take off his clothes.

Jiang Yining didn't dare to utter such a harsh word.

Jiang Yining glanced at the time displayed on the central control screen, swallowed his words and said, "I'm in a hurry to eat, and after dinner I have to go to visit the family."

"Home visit?"

He Chi remembered that Jiang Yining had mentioned to him last night that a little girl in her class was absent, so he asked again, "Is that the student you mentioned yesterday?"

Jiang Yining hummed, "She didn't come today, and her parents didn't come to the parent-teacher meeting. Since she didn't transfer schools, I have to find out more about the situation."

He Chi started the car and asked, "What do you want to eat?"

Seeing that he didn't hold her anymore, Jiang Yining breathed a sigh of relief, and even her voice became a little lighter. "Just eat anything, I'm not picky."

The school wasn't far from where Zhang Qiao lived. After He Chi drove off, Jiang Yining suggested, "Can we go to the restaurant near Qiaoqiao's house?"

"The one you took me to before?"

Jiang Yining nodded.

He Chi seemed to be thinking about something, and said, "If we go to that restaurant, we have to buy a bag of wedding candy first."

"for......"

Jiang Yining suddenly remembered and smiled, "I have to buy a bag of wedding candy."

The two came to the store and saw the proprietress sitting at the front desk with her head down playing with her mobile phone.

Jiang Yining walked over, and when the boss lady looked up, she smiled and said, "Boss lady, we'd like to treat you to wedding candy. Can you give us a discount today?"

The proprietress looked at the two people with great joy. Her eyes fell on the bag of wedding candy in He Chi's hand and she laughed, "Congratulations, congratulations. I was wondering why you hadn't come for a while. Miss Zhang said you moved away."

"I'll treat you guys to a free meal today to share in your joy. I hope my daughter can get married soon."

He Chi handed over the wedding candy and said, "Boss, if it's free, then don't give us a 99% discount."

Seeing He Chi's handsome figure, the lady boss almost asked if he had any single brothers at home. She laughed and said, "That's no different from not having a discount. That won't work."

Jiang Yining said, "We appreciate your kindness. We just want to wish you good luck and prosperity in your business."

"Okay, okay, you guys go find a seat first."

Jiang Yining found a seat by the window and sat down.

The location of this restaurant is not easy to find. It is the owner's own shop, so she doesn't have to pay rent and only does business with her acquaintances.

It seems that the couple runs their business in a casual manner, but the ingredients are fresh. In the two and a half years that she has lived here, she would come here to eat when she didn't want to cook.

Jiang Yining thought of the breakfast shop opened by her father. It used to do very good business and had a good location. People who came to the hospital for treatment or students nearby would often come to the shop to buy breakfast.

Her parents bought the store directly in the early years, but since her father remarried Zhao Hong, the business of the store has slowed down a lot.

The main reason was that Zhao Hong was narrow-minded and often couldn't bear to throw away the leftover buns. She would mix them with fresh buns and sell them to customers the next day.

Over time, many acquaintances stopped coming, and business naturally became bad.

Because she was in a hurry, Jiang Yining just ordered two dishes at random, but when the dishes were served, there was an extra dish, the braised pork that she usually ordered.

Before she could say anything, the proprietress said, "I'm giving this dish to you. I remember you liked it. Enjoy it slowly."

Jiang Yining smiled and said "thank you".

It's just that her appetite was not very good today. The braised pork was greasy, and Jiang Yining didn't want to eat it anymore. She picked up a piece with a lukewarm look on her face and took only a small bite.

He Chi noticed that she had a poor appetite and poured her a cup of tea. "If you don't want to eat, don't make it hard on yourself. Eat something light."

Jiang Yining said softly, "The boss lady is so kind. I'd feel bad if I don't finish it."

He Chi moved the braised pork in front of him and said, "It's okay, I'll eat it. If you can't finish it, take it home for a midnight snack."

Jiang Yining looked at He Chi with gratitude. She didn't eat much and kept drinking tea with the cup, but her eyes were always on He Chi opposite her.

When he raised his black eyelashes, Jiang Yining turned her eyes away without leaving a trace.

When they went to the front desk to check out, the proprietress looked at them happily.

She said to He Chi, "Young people are still the best, loving each other. During this meal, Miss Jiang's eyes never left you."

Jiang Yining was a few steps behind He Chi. When she came over, she happened to hear the proprietress's teasing.

He Chi looked back at her with interest, and asked with a smirk, "Really?"

Her face flushed and she tried to deny it, "Boss, you're mistaken. I was just drinking tea."

The lady boss looked like an experienced person. She smiled and said, "Look, you're getting shy. I can see it clearly. You're already married, so you don't have to be embarrassed about your husband."

Jiang Yining avoided He Chi's sight, and the man became more calm.

He said to the proprietress in a cheerful mood, "My wife is shy, so we'll leave first and come to your store next time."

She slipped away first. Listening to what He Chi said, Jiang Yining wanted to dig a hole for herself and crawl into it.

Back in the car, He Chi didn't mention what happened just now. He asked Jiang Yining for the address and started navigating.

Before driving, He Chi glanced at her and saw that she looked calm, as if she was not the same person who was shy inside just now. But when he looked closely, he saw a hint of pink on the tip of her ear.

He Chi silently raised the corner of his lips, turned the steering wheel, and didn't say anything along the way, just tapping his fingertips on the steering wheel again and again.

Jiang Yining felt that each blow was hitting her heart, irritating her nerves.

He might as well ask her, so that she would have a chance to fool him, but this person didn't say a word.

But soon, Jiang Yining no longer had the heart to think about these things. The car stopped outside the community and she contacted Wang Zhiyao's mother first.

He Chi said, "I'll wait for you in the car."

Jiang Yining unbuckled his seatbelt and got out of the car, humming, "Then I'll go over first."

She went to the security office to register first. When she got downstairs, a girl with short hair looked up at her and asked, "Is this Teacher Jiang?"

Jiang Yining said, "Yes, you are Wang Zhiyao?"

Wang Zhiyao hummed, not feeling too excited, and said, "My mother asked me to come down and pick you up."

There was calmness in her eyes, and she didn't seem to care much about Jiang Yining's arrival, but her words and actions showed her respect for Jiang Yining.

Seeing that she didn't really want to talk, Jiang Yining didn't try to get closer to her, but just quietly followed her into the elevator.

After entering the door, Wang Zhiyao said, "Teacher Jiang, no need to change shoes, please come in."

Then he poured tea for Jiang Yining and said, "My mother...she just received a call and will be out soon. Please have some tea."

Jiang Yining smiled at her and said, "Thank you."

She picked up the teacup and took a sip. After sitting in the living room for a while, she heard an angry voice coming from the other end of the room.

"Mr. Wang, you were the one who cheated on me first. I only want half of both the house and the savings. I've already given in. Since you don't agree, we can only meet in court!"

"Whether or not there's a chance of winning isn't up to you." She seemed to laugh out loud. "So what if you earned the money? Haven't I paid any price over the years?"

"I sacrificed my career to stay home and take care of the children and the family. Why do you say I didn't contribute?"

"I don't want to argue with you. See you in court. That's it."

Jiang Yining gently put down the teacup. He had heard everything he shouldn't have heard. It seemed like it came at the wrong time.

Now, she also knew why Wang Zhiyao didn't go to school and cut off contact with her family.

Jiang Yining pretended to look at Wang Zhiyao casually, but she seemed to be used to it and had no emotion at all.
