Chapter 71 "Don't Move"
He Chi covered her with his entire body.
Fortunately, he still retained a bit of consciousness. When he fell, he did not fall on her, but supported his body with his hands.
Jiang Yining felt dizzy. She supported herself on He Chi's chest with both hands, but he kept pressing down, so she simply let go.
Without any obstruction, He Chi nestled his head in the crook of her neck.

She felt that she had to take care of He Chi. She reached out and shook his arm, calling out, "He Chi."

She walked away only after hearing the sound of running water inside. She walked to the bed and originally wanted to sleep on the outside, but after thinking about it, she walked to the inside.
After throwing off the quilt and going to bed, Jiang Yining set three alarm clocks. The students started morning reading at 7:30, and she had to arrive at school before then.
He Chi hadn't come out yet, and Jiang Yining hadn't turned off the lights. She closed her eyes and tried to fall asleep. Less than ten minutes later, she heard the sound of someone blowing hair inside.
From the time he turned on the hair dryer to the time he finished blow-drying his hair, the whole process took less than half a minute. He Chi had such short hair that he usually didn't need a hair dryer.
Hearing footsteps, Jiang Yining looked back.
After just one glance, she looked away in panic.
He Chi was only wearing a pair of boxer briefs.
Hearing the sound of him lifting the quilt, Jiang Yining pursed her lips and said tactfully, "He Chi, I took the pajamas and put them in the storage basket in the bathroom."
He Chi acted as if he didn't hear anything. After lying on the bed, he immediately moved to Jiang Yining's side and took her into his arms from behind.
Only when he was tightly pressed against her did He Chi slowly speak, "I know, I threw it into the closet."
Tonight, they took turns forcing him to drink. Even if he had a good alcohol tolerance, he couldn't handle it. They insisted that he tell them the process of getting the marriage certificate with Jiang Yining, otherwise they would not give up.
He Chi tried his best to get through it. Everyone chatted about their recent situation and gradually became happy drinking. With the recording of He Jin in front of him, he had no choice but to drink.
He had to find a time to have Jiang Yining record a message forbidding him to drink.
Jiang Yining was held in He Chi's arms, and He Chi was wearing almost nothing, so she didn't dare to move at all.
Her back was pressed against He Chi's chest. His body was very hot, and the heat was transmitted to her through a thin layer of cloth. Jiang Yining felt herself getting hot all over.
The bedside lamp on her side was still on, and listening to his even breathing, it seemed as if he had fallen asleep.

As soon as she moved, He Chi woke up.

She wanted to escape, but before she could move, He Chi held her back. The man said in a hoarse voice, "Don't move."
Jiang Yining's body seemed to be frozen. How could she dare to move? Her heart was beating like a drum.
He Chi hugged her, his breath filled with the pleasant scent of Jiang Yining, and he sighed.
If I had known this earlier, I wouldn't have accepted their invitation tonight.
After a long while, He Chi kissed the top of her head and said, "Honey, when can we try out the little things in the drawer?"
