Chapter 252 An unexpected surprise

Seeing these brand new cotton-padded clothes and quilts, the two old people were so excited that they were speechless.

They are older and not as healthy as they used to be.

The quilts they used to cover themselves with were the same cotton quilts they had made more than a decade ago. The cotton batting had been flattened, making it heavy and not warm at all.

When it’s cold, I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night from the cold.

Later, they had to cover the quilt with their own cotton jackets.

But in this case, the quilt would be even heavier, which made their sleep very uncomfortable, but there was nothing they could do.

Now, with this new quilt, they can sleep well in winter.

Seeing the two elders happy after receiving the quilts and cotton-padded clothes, Lin Yizhen was also very happy. As long as her grandparents were happy, she would definitely visit them often when she had time.

The time we spend together is always short. We eat, share things, and try on clothes.

Two hours passed quickly and Lin Yizhen was about to leave again.

Only this time, she was really leaving.

It wasn't about leaving the Huang family, but leaving Hai City for the capital. After wasting so many days in Hai City, it was time to go back.

Her uncle's family waits for her until so late every day and has to do so much work during the day, which is not good for their health.

Especially my grandparents, they are old and sleep less. If they continue to stay up late like this, their bodies will not be able to bear it.

Besides, she had already been in Hai City for several days, so it was time to leave. The capital was still waiting for her to send back the equipment and materials!

When the Huang family heard Lin Yizhen say she was leaving Hai City, they were all reluctant to let her go.

They held Lin Yizhen's hand and kept telling her to take good care of herself and protect herself. If she missed home or encountered any difficulties, she should write back.

Lin Yizhen nodded and responded to them one by one.

Then, he left the courtyard amid the Huang family's reluctant gazes.

What the Huang family didn't know was that Lin Yizhen came back not long after leaving the courtyard, and didn't leave until they all fell asleep.

After returning to the guesthouse, Lin Yizhen went into the space to pack up the things she was going to take to the capital before going to bed.

Lin Yizhen came back too late today. She didn't read and went straight to bed after taking a shower.

Because I was sleeping in space, I didn't suffer from lack of sleep.

He got up early the next morning to practice martial arts again. After practicing and taking a shower, Lin Yizhen took a few buns and left the space.

Then, he picked up the luggage he had prepared long ago and hurried downstairs.

After checking out of the hotel, Lin Yizhen headed straight for the train station. She bought a ticket for the nearest train to Beijing and headed straight to the waiting room with her luggage.

Only when she arrived at the waiting room did Lin Yizhen have time to eat the bun in her hand.

While eating, she took out the train ticket she had just bought and examined it carefully. She only knew that the departure time was 10 a.m. She had no idea which car number or seat she would be assigned.

I was quite surprised when I saw the word "sleeper" written on the train ticket.

She thought she was buying a regular seat, but unexpectedly she could also buy a sleeper? What a pleasant surprise.

Lin Yizhen put away her train ticket and then continued to eat the bun in her hand. There were still more than two hours before departure, so there was plenty of time.

However, Lin Yizhen did not go anywhere else, but sat there waiting.

Although it's a bit boring, it's better than going out for a walk and then rushing back.

More than two hours passed, neither long nor short. To pass the time, Lin Yizhen took out a red book from her bag and started reading.

This was a gift from the senior leader. She had been too busy to read it before. Now that she has nothing to do, she took it out and read it.

She was fascinated by it as soon as she saw it. If someone hadn’t bumped into her nearby, Lin Yizhen would have wanted to continue watching!

She looked up and saw the older sister who had been sitting next to her had already picked up her luggage and was about to leave. It seemed that she had accidentally bumped into her when she stood up.

Fortunately, this elder sister met her just now, otherwise she would still be reading!

Lin Yizhen would definitely regret it if she missed the train because she was so engrossed in reading.

Lin Yizhen put away her books, took her luggage, and lined up behind the others. The ticket checking process was not very fast, and Lin Yizhen waited for a long time before it was her turn.

When it was Lin Yizhen's turn, she put her hand into her pocket, took out the train ticket from the space, and handed it to the ticket inspector.

After the inspection, I picked up my luggage and followed the queue to the platform.

Lin Yizhen's sleeper car was in the front, so she just had to head towards the locomotive. Having taken sleeper cars several times recently, Lin Yizhen had already developed some experience.

Arriving at the sleeper car, Lin Yizhen found her bed.

This time, she was not eligible to choose because there was only one bunk left in the carriage.

When getting on the train, Lin Yizhen discovered that this train did not originate from Haishi, so it was not surprising that there were other passengers in the carriage.

Lin Yizhen put her luggage under the only empty bed and sat on the edge of it.

Lin Yizhen had just gotten on the bus and wasn't ready to sleep yet. She wanted to take advantage of the daylight hours to see more of the scenery along the way.

Besides, it was almost time for dinner, and Lin Yizhen planned to wait until after lunch before going to sleep.

The train started moving very quickly, and Lin Yizhen sat on the edge of the bed for more than an hour. When it was almost twelve o'clock, Lin Yizhen went to the restaurant in front to get some food.

Maybe it’s because people like to eat braised pork at this time, most restaurants on the train will prepare this dish. Lin Yizhen has discovered it several times.

It was the same today, Lin Yizhen ordered a braised pork and two vegetarian dishes.

The other two people in the carriage also went to the restaurant to eat, only the very elegant woman who slept on the upper bunk of Lin Yizhen ate dry food.

Lin Yizhen just glanced at the other person and then went to eat by herself.

After dinner, Lin Yizhen didn't rush to wash the dishes. It would definitely be crowded at this time, so she decided to wait a while.

Lin Yizhen waited for about an hour before taking her lunch box to the place where she washed her hands. Just as she expected, there was no one there.

Lin Yizhen poured some hot water to clean the meat oil in the lunch box. After rinsing it twice, she finally cleaned the lunch box.

After washing, Lin Yizhen returned to the carriage with the lunch box.

Seeing that it was already past one in the afternoon, Lin Yizhen went back to the bathroom and then went to bed.

The two people who were still talking across from each other saw Lin Yizhen go to bed. After looking at each other, they covered themselves with the quilt and went to sleep.

Lin Yizhen closed her eyes after lying down, unaware of the little actions the two had taken before.

There were three people sleeping in the carriage, and the remaining middle-aged woman also fell asleep.

However, before she went to sleep, she got out of bed and locked the door of the carriage to prevent other passengers from entering after they fell asleep.

Their carriage was full of women, three of whom were single, so they had to be careful.

This was what the middle-aged woman on the upper bunk was thinking as she went downstairs to close the door.
