She could only look at Fang Youming in a panic, her eyes filled with helplessness and pleading.
Fang Youming was also very annoyed.

Then he turned to Liu Yuelan.
"You go back and write a self-criticism honestly. We'll meet here in half an hour."
"yes."
Fang Youming bowed his head and responded, his expression complex.
He didn't dare say anything more, and quickly grabbed Liu Yuelan's arm, leading her away from the scene.
Meanwhile, Shen Zhiyu and Su Qingzhi followed behind Section Chief Zhu, walking together toward his office.
Deputy Regiment Commander Ma also plans to go along.
I had just taken a step when I heard Section Chief Zhu speak.
"Old Ma, don't go. Go take a look around the training ground. With none of us here today, those greenhorns might slack off."
Anyone could see that Section Chief Zhu was deliberately trying to get Deputy Regiment Commander Ma away.
Deputy Regiment Commander Ma narrowed his eyes, a shadow crossing his face.
But he quickly put on a smile again.
"Okay, I'll go check it out and make sure they don't slack off."
After he left, Section Chief Zhu led Shen Zhiyu and his wife into the office.
Su Qingzhi stood at the door, her gaze occasionally sweeping towards the end of the corridor, watching to see if anyone was approaching.
Shen Zhiyu then recounted in detail the incident of bumping into that person that morning, as well as the brief encounter between the two.
Upon hearing this, Section Chief Zhu's expression changed drastically, and he jumped up from his chair.
Are you sure that person is Japanese?
Shen Zhiyu nodded without hesitation.
“I’ve encountered a Japanese ninja before, and that person looks exactly the same as me.”
Section Chief Zhu paced back and forth in the room, his face grim and his brows furrowing deeper and deeper.
He stopped and said firmly.
“Then I’ll immediately arrange for people to search all the surrounding villages. Maybe that guy is nearby, waiting for an opportunity to strike.”
Shen Zhiyu calmly shook his head.
"We definitely need to investigate, but we can't do it openly; we have to do it secretly. If that person becomes alert, they'll just run even further away."
"Why?"
Section Chief Zhu had just asked the question.
Suddenly, his pupils contracted sharply, and his expression turned serious.
"You suspect... that there's a Japanese mole within our ranks?"
Shen Zhiyu nodded slowly.
He then recounted how Liu Yuelan had drugged the food.
Upon hearing these words, Section Chief Zhu's face turned deathly pale.
He sat back down in the chair behind him, his hands on his knees, his eyes unfocused.
"Her file was reviewed so strictly when she enlisted, how could... how could such a thing happen?"
Shen Zhiyu shook his head, his gaze resolute.
"I'm not asking you to take action now, I'm just reminding you to be more careful in the future and take precautions."
"As for her, just do what needs to be done. Don't let her notice anything unusual, and don't alert her. I will personally report other matters to my superiors, and they will make the final decision."
"I understand, don't worry."
Section Chief Zhu took a deep breath and forced himself to calm down.
"I will keep a close eye on her every move and won't give her any opportunity to take advantage of me."
Even after he finished speaking, his brow remained furrowed.
The group then exchanged a few more words in hushed tones.
Then, Shen Zhiyu mentioned that he planned to leave for Beijing early the next morning to handle some urgent matters.
Section Chief Zhu listened and simply nodded silently, indicating his understanding.
He knew that Shen Zhiyu was carrying an extraordinary mission.
Some things cannot be said outright, nor can they be inquired about in detail.
Just then, Chang Xi shouted from outside.
"Commander, Company Commander, Deputy Company Commander Fang and the others have arrived!"
The three immediately stopped talking, their expressions hardened, and they quickly got up and walked towards the door.
As soon as they stepped out of the house, they saw that a large number of people had already gathered in the square.
There were factory workers and soldiers on duty, standing in twos and threes, each with a different expression on their face.
The midday sun hung high overhead, scorching the earth with its intense heat.
Liu Yuelan stood alone by the wooden platform in the center, clutching a piece of paper tightly in her hand.
"Su Qingzhi is here!"
Someone shouted something in the crowd.
Liu Yuelan's body stiffened abruptly, and she quickly raised her head.
Her gaze swept across the crowd and landed on Su Qingzhi, who was full of energy, across from her.
In an instant, it felt like something was gripping her heart, making it hard to breathe.
