The room was dimly lit, the warm light reflecting off the walls, creating a particularly quiet and cozy atmosphere.

She immediately noticed Shen Zhiyu leaning against the headboard, holding a book in his hand, but not turning the pages; his gaze was already fixed on her.

Those eyes were as gentle as a lake in spring, quietly watching her enter, watching her take off her coat, and approach step by step.

She paused for a moment, her heart beating slightly faster.

She carefully hung her coat on the closet, her movements slow, as if she were stalling for time or calming her mind.

Then, she slowly walked over, sat on the edge of the bed, and asked softly, "Why aren't you asleep yet? It's so late."

Shen Zhiyu put down his book, smiled at her, and said softly, "I'll wait for you."

The three words were as light as the wind, yet they landed heavily on her heart.

He gently reached out and took her hand.
