A warm and cozy scene had already begun to unfold in her mind.

She slapped her thighs and cried uncontrollably.
“If you leave, who will do the farm work? The fields are waiting for spring planting, how will we earn work points? If you leave, how will the old and the young survive? We can’t expect to live on air and gas, can we?”
The more I thought about it, the angrier I got, and the more heartbroken I became as I cried.

She cried as she poured out her heart, her face filled with panic.
"What am I going to do as your mother? I'm counting on you to take care of me in my old age and see me off when I die!"
When she got to the point of being sad, she turned to look at Shen Zhiyu, who was standing next to her.
"Are you still hoping to get your hands on that betrothed vixen?"
Shen Zhiyu's expression immediately turned somewhat unpleasant.
Seeing his mother taking her anger out on Shen Yuelan again, Shen Zhiyu said in a low voice, "Mom, you can make a fuss if you want, but don't keep bringing up Yuelan. How did she become a little devil? What did she do to deserve this?"
"You're still speaking up for her?"
Upon hearing this, she immediately became furious and glared at him fiercely.
"How could I have given birth to a son like you? Don't you have any conscience? Look at your older brother, how clever and considerate he is of Mom. You're not even worth a fart!"
She was crying her heart out, tears and snot streaming down her face. While wiping the wet tears from her face, she glared angrily at Shen Zhiyu.
She became agitated and, in a fit of rage, grabbed a shoe without even checking if it was the left or right foot, and swung it at Shen Zhiyu's face, yelling as she did so.
"So what if I cursed at her? Is it too much for me to curse her? She's just a young girl who's not even married yet, and she's asking for two hundred yuan! Isn't that extortion? Isn't she a demon?"
