Chapter 57 Regret

The old wooden door made a sound as if it were complaining about something, making it clear to anyone that the door had been used for a long time.

Shen Zhiyu walked in wearing shorts, his hair a mess.

He wasn't fully awake yet, and his skin was still a bit swollen.

He frowned.

"Sister-in-law, have you seen Lanyin?"

"Where did she go so early in the morning? We can't find her anywhere."

Su Chenwei shook her head.

Su Chenwei responded indifferently and continued adding firewood to the stove.

The flames had already started to rise a little.

Seeing her indifferent attitude, Shen Zhiyu didn't say anything more and turned to leave.

His back view was slightly lonely, but his steps did not falter for a moment.

He was thinking to himself that he needed to finish washing up quickly so he could go find Liu Yuelan.

She was always quiet and gentle; perhaps she could soothe his somewhat heavy heart at this moment.

Just as Su Chenwei had predicted, Liu Yuelan was sobbing softly at the entrance of the Liu family home.

Her shoulders trembled slightly, and her hands gripped the hem of her clothes tightly.

"Mom, I really regret it!"
