Chapter 8

Chapter 8

The rain continued for a long time, so Yin Mu went back to his room, took a shower, changed into clean clothes, and walked out of the room to get some water in the small living room.

Coincidentally, Zheng Wei also walked out of the room yawning, also holding a mug in her hand.

The production team still had some conscience and there were no cameras installed on the third floor. Zheng Wei didn't care too much about her image and wore loose and comfortable pajamas, with her long hair a little messy.

Zheng Wei was startled when she saw Yin Mu, and she couldn't even finish her yawn. "Huh? When did you come back?"

"It's been a while. We got caught in the rain on our way back, so we just took a shower."

"Oh, are Zhou Jingyu and the others back?"

"Not yet, I don't know."

Zheng Wei responded and stood by the water dispenser to fill her cup. She lowered her head to watch the thin stream of water fall into her mug. She pretended to be nonchalant and asked, "Want to chat?"

Yin Mu thought she might be in a bad mood, so he nodded and agreed: "Okay, what do you want to talk about?"

Zheng Wei placed the mug on the coffee table, sat down cross-legged on the sofa, and grabbed a pillow to hold in her arms. She waited for Yin Mu to come over and sit down before speaking, also asking about Yin Mu's situation first: "Where did you and Chen Qinglin go to play?"

"I went to the gym to play badminton."

"Huh?" Zheng Wei's eyes widened in shock. "Are you two okay? Going on a date to play badminton?"

"Uh, is that weird?"

"That's weird!" Zheng Wei pounded the soft pillow. "Who would choose to play badminton on a first date? Which of you suggested it?"

"He was the one who first suggested it. I thought about it and thought it would be a good idea since I hadn't exercised for a long time, so I agreed."

Zheng Wei sighed sincerely: "You two are really geniuses. No wonder you two hit it off so well."

Yin Mu was speechless, convinced of his own judgment that Zheng Wei was a person who spoke without restraint.

Zheng Wei's expression became increasingly complicated. "Is this really okay with you? Don't we all try to present our best selves to our dates? If you sweat, your makeup will smudge. How ugly!"

"It can't really be considered a date," Yin Mu argued weakly, "We've just started dating, we're just friends."

"I can't tell you." Zheng Wei waved her hand and asked, "Yin Mu, have you ever been in love?"

"……No."

Zheng Wei obviously didn't believe it: "Really?"

"real."

Zheng Wei couldn't believe it: "How can someone over 20 still be in a relationship these days? What year are you from?"

Yin Mu didn't know what to do with Zheng Wei's unforgiving mouth, and didn't want to argue with her: "I'm really sorry, it's my fault."

Zheng Wei realized she had made a mistake and quickly said, "I didn't mean to belittle you. I'm just really surprised."

"Okay, that's okay."

Zheng Wei picked up the mug and took two sips of water, then said awkwardly, "Am I really annoying?"

Yin Mu said frankly: "You speak too directly, but I can see that you really didn't mean it."

Zheng Wei sighed: "You said Zhang Yang didn't choose me, is that because of this?"

"No." Yin Mu denied it flatly, saying bluntly, "It's his own brain that's the problem."

"You don't like him?"

"How could I possibly like him?" Yin Mu frowned in disdain. "Listen to what he said, not a single nice word. What do you think is so good about him?"

"I just like this type. Both of my ex-boyfriends were like this," Zheng Wei muttered. "I was actively trying to get closer to him, but who knew he would suddenly write to Zhou Jingyu?"

Yin Mu was speechless.

"Zhou Jingyu is also outrageous!" Zheng Wei said, her tone suddenly rising. "Does she want to raise fish? She won't let any of them go."

"...Don't get excited yet."

"It's obvious. Look at her. She pretended to be a fan of Jiang Nanyu at first, then tried to please Chen Qinglin after hearing he was a signed artist of Xingchen. Oh, and even pretended to want to lose weight, throwing bait to Zhang Yang. Zhang Yang, a big-breasted and brainless guy, took the bait without hesitation. I'm speechless."

Zheng Wei vented her frustration and continued, "Only Chen Qinglin had some sense enough to not be fooled by her. Look at those two, they were completely fooled by her. Especially Jiang Nanyu. If Zhou Jingyu just beckoned him, he would probably follow her."

Yin Mu was slightly dissatisfied with Zhou Jingyu, but he didn't expect Zheng Wei's resentment to be so deep that she scolded everyone in one breath.

She couldn't help but wonder what Zheng Wei was thinking of her in her heart, and whether she would turn around and scold Zhou Jingyu again.

Zheng Wei probably felt much better after saying the bad things, so she changed the subject and finally said something nice: "I think you are the most normal one."

Yin Mu laughed dryly: "Thank you."

Zheng Wei asked again: "Who do you want to date next time?"

"I haven't thought about this yet, and I'm not sure how to arrange our next date." Yin Mu asked, "What about you? Do you still want to choose Zhang Yang?"

Zheng Wei said without hesitation: "Of course."

Yin Mu said helplessly: "Why do you have to do this?"

"I won't admit defeat. I want to see what Zhang Yang is going to do next time." Zheng Wei curled her lips. "Besides, Zhang Yang has already fallen flat on his face. I don't believe he'd dare to try again."

Yin Mu couldn't tell whether she was truly obsessed with Zhang Yang or simply wanted revenge, so he could only say, "Okay, as long as you're happy, but don't be so stubborn. Why bother making yourself unhappy?"

"I just don't accept it. Zhou Jingyu isn't prettier than me, is she? She just speaks a little nicer and is a little more hypocritical. What's so great about that?"

Yin Mu shook his head.

At this moment, there was a sound of light footsteps coming from the stairs. Zheng Wei listened carefully and whispered, "She must be back."

"It should be."

As soon as Yin Mu finished speaking, Zhou Jingyu appeared in the small living room and greeted them with a smile: "You are all here."

Zheng Wei ignored her and picked up the mug to drink water.

Seeing Zhou Jingyu's cheerful face and good mood, Yin Mu smiled at her and said, "You're back."

"You guys came back so early." Zhou Jingyu sat down on the small sofa on the other side and said, "It started raining heavily just when we were about to come back. We sat in the cafe for a long time."

"Yeah, the weather is not very good today."

Zheng Wei pretended to be indifferent, but she was still curious about Zhou Jingyu's date and couldn't help asking, "Where did you go?"

"The art museum is having an oil painting exhibition recently, and today happens to be the last day."

Zheng Wei glanced at Yin Mu and said, "Look, this is a proper date place."

"Yes, yes, I understand. Please stop nagging me."

"Hmm?" Zhou Jingyu tilted her head. "What do you mean? Did Yin Mu and Chen Qinglin go to some inappropriate date place?"

Before Yin Mu could speak, Zheng Wei rushed in and said, "They both went to play badminton. I really can't understand why."

Zhou Jingyu was stunned for a moment, then burst into laughter: "You two are so interesting."

"...Thank you. I'll take it as a compliment."

"I also like playing badminton. We can ask the production team if they can provide a few pairs of rackets. It would be nice to play in the yard in my free time. I can also think of it as a way to lose weight."

Yin Mu responded vaguely: "You can go and ask."

Zhou Jingyu stood up and said, "I'm going back to my room to change clothes first. Let's go downstairs together later. The boys are all in the living room downstairs."

"OK."

Zhou Jingyu smiled slightly and turned back after taking two steps. "By the way, I just heard Zhang Yang say downstairs that we don't need to prepare dinner ourselves today. That's great."

Zheng Wei watched her walk into the room and close the door, and rolled her eyes: "Look, look, here she is again. She is the only one who is self-disciplined and knows how to lose weight, but we don't know."

"Okay, stop talking."

Zheng Wei hummed, raised her mug, and gulped down the remaining water: "I'll go back to my room to change clothes too."

"Okay, go ahead."

Finally, Yin Mu was the only one left in the small living room. She leaned back on the sofa and sighed tiredly.

What is going on? If this continues, I will become schizophrenic.

Everyone was relieved that they didn't have to cook today, but they still had to clear the table and wash the dishes themselves. While eating, they discussed how to form groups.

Jiang Nanyu said nonchalantly, "It's not a big deal. Let's just draw lots and assign two people to wash the dishes."

"I have no objection." Zhang Yang responded enthusiastically. "Ladies, what do you think?"

Zhou Jingyu agreed: "No problem, it's fair."

"That's so boring." Zheng Wei had been in the villa all day and was already very bored. Not wanting to miss this opportunity, she suggested, "Why don't we play a simple game after dinner? The loser will be responsible for washing the dishes."

"That's fine, what are we going to play?"

Zheng Wei put her chopsticks under her chin, thought for a moment, and then came up with an idea. "Ah, how about we play the game of 'You have it, I don't have it'?"

Zhou Jingyu had never played the game before and asked, "How do you play this game?"

"It's very simple." Zheng Wei explained the rules of the game to her. "Each of us holds up one hand and takes turns saying something we haven't done. Those who have done something before put down a finger. Whoever runs out of fingers first loses."

Zhou Jingyu smiled and said, "That sounds interesting. Let's play this game."

[Hahahaha, is this game a must-have for romance shows? Almost every romance show has to play it.]

[Because this kind of game is very suitable for breaking the ice and deepening understanding.]

[Wow, please ask more provocative questions. I love hearing them.]

[As for the overall performance of the show, we have to look to our Zheng Wei.]

【Eat quickly, look forward to staying here! 】

Yin Mu ate too much at lunch and had no appetite. He just ate some vegetables and put down his chopsticks. While listening to them chatting, he slowly sipped the juice in the glass.

Jiang Nanyu, who was sitting across from her, noticed this and asked, "Why isn't Yin Mu eating? Are you feeling unwell?"

Yin Mu smiled and said, "Nothing happened. I just ate too much this afternoon. Don't worry about me."

Zhang Yang, fearing his words would fall flat on his face, immediately added, "It's better to eat less. I just think your eating habits are very unhealthy, Yin Mu. You should adjust them."

Yin Mu took a deep breath silently, put down the glass, and said seriously: "Zhang Yang, do you know?"

Zhang Yang was confused: "Huh? What?"

Yin Mu said, "My neighbor's grandmother lived to be ninety-eight. Do you know why?"

Zhang Yang asked stupidly, "Why?"

Yin Mu smiled and said word by word, "Because she never meddles in other people's business."
