"Come back next time, girl."
The shop owner smiled and escorted Yan Funing out the door.
Yan Funing nodded, picked up the backpack, and walked towards the agreed place.
There were a lot of things in the backpack, and they were quite heavy. She leaned sideways and walked with difficulty.
When she arrived, Fu Ciyi was nowhere to be seen.
Many men looked at her with meaningful eyes, and even women passing by would look at her a few more times.
"This young lady is really pretty."
"I don't know who she is. She's so beautiful, but they're willing to let her show up in public?"
"If it were mine, I would definitely take good care of it at home."
"A beautiful woman is usually very clever and shouldn't be seen like this."
Different sounds entered Yan Funing's ears, making her feel uneasy.
She lowered her eyes and saw that the two pottery jars were tilted. She simply sorted out the things in her backpack, just to make sure that those discussions could no longer reach her ears.
When I was almost done, a shadow fell over my head.
Yan Funing slowly raised her head, and seeing that it was him, she smiled at him, "You're here."
Fu Ciyi said "hmm" expressionlessly.
What surprised Yan Funing was that the person who had just looked at her was still staring at her without any hesitation.
Yan Funing pursed her lips, tiptoed closer to Fu Ciyi, and whispered in his ear: "Two pheasants sold for five hundred coins."
She spoke to him in this way for two reasons.
First, there are many people waiting for the bus here, so they don’t show off their wealth.
Second, let the people who were watching her know that she was not alone.
Fu Ciyi's expression suddenly darkened.
He didn't like this woman being so close to him!
However, he also noticed the ill intentions of the men around him.
I wanted to move away, but I didn't move.
"The shopkeeper said that if it's alive, the price will be doubled." Yan Funing held up five fingers and whispered, "That's the price for one chicken."
Seeing that he remained silent again, she didn't get angry, because this person didn't like to pay attention to him.
But the gazes of the men next to her made her feel uncomfortable, and when she felt uncomfortable, she liked to talk.
Then he asked again: "Can you make it alive next time?"
"Yeah." Fu Ciyi finally responded.
Yan Funing smiled and said, "That's great!"
Just then, an ox cart arrived and the people on it got off one after another.
The driver looked around for fellow villagers, and when he saw the handsome young couple, he called out, "Hey, young couple, would you like a ride today?"
"Driver Li, why are you just telling them to get in the car? I called them every time I came and went yesterday, but they didn't get in. They don't have any money, so why are you wasting your breath?"
The person who spoke was still the young woman from yesterday.
She just pulled her husband along and occupied two relatively good seats on the bus.
Li the coachman chuckled and said, "To be honest, I like to pick up good-looking passengers."
The young woman snorted, puffed out her proud chest, and smoothed her hair. She looked really good.
That little girl is so young, what's so good about her?
Yan Funing was just about to ask someone if he wanted to take the car. She opened her lips slightly, but before she could say anything, she saw him carrying a backpack and walking to the ox cart.
Fu Ciyi took out ten copper coins and gave them to the coachman Li, then raised his eyelids and glanced at her indifferently.
Yan Funing immediately walked over quickly.
Li, the coachman, put the copper coins into his arms and said with a smile, "Young man, you should learn to love your wife more."
Fu Ciyi didn't respond, and a cold look flashed across his dark eyes.
Soon, the car was full of people.
The driver cracked his whip and the carriage returned.
Yan Funing felt a little awkward. Fu Ciyi sat on her left, and the young woman on her right. Because of the crowd, their bodies inevitably touched.
The car was bumping around and she accidentally bumped into the young woman, who sneered and pushed her away with her elbow.
As a last resort, Yan Funing had to move closer to someone.
Fu Ciyi frowned.
Although she was wearing more clothes now, her legs were pressed tightly against his legs, making him feel uncomfortable all over.
The hand holding the backpack clenched tightly, with the bones clearly visible, and only then did he restrain the urge to push her off the car.
Yan Funing was having a very hard time sitting in the car, but the car kept shaking from time to time, and she was swaying with it, and her shoulders would always bump into someone due to inertia.
I don't know how someone managed to sit there motionless like a mountain.
After many collisions, she also noticed his livid face.
--
Finally we returned to the village and the car stopped at the entrance.
The coachman smiled and introduced himself: "We are from the same village. My home is at the entrance of the village. Next time you need a ride, just look for me, Coachman Li."
Yan Funing smiled slightly in response.
Next time, she probably wouldn't take the bus, at least not with someone.
When I reached out to take the backpack, someone took it first and put it on his shoulder.
Yan Funing took a deep breath and quickly followed him.
"I'm sorry, the car was bumpy. I didn't mean to hit you."
She didn't think about resolving their previous grudge, but at least she had to handle the surface relationship well for now.
Thinking of his future cruel methods, she couldn't help showing some fear.
Fu Ciyi walked on without stopping, and said calmly: "I won't give you the copper coins I earned from writing today."
He has to keep it to buy books.
But what is this woman afraid of?
She is arrogant and domineering, so what would she be afraid of?
"No, no, no." Yan Funing said repeatedly.
When the two returned home, the village head happened to come over.
"Since you live in the village, you need to register your household registration." He held up a booklet and pen and paper. "Your family of five, each with their own name, date of birth, and place of origin, must all be recorded."
Fu Ciyi led the person to the main room, entered the house, and put down the backpack.
The village head opened the booklet and spread it on the table. He dipped his brush in ink and prepared to write: "Your name is Fu, what?"
