"Your chess pieces are precious, so just pair them with my broken chessboard."
I've been rummaging around in the study for a while now, and finally found a decent chessboard like this one. Compared to jade, the one inlaid with gold thread is a bit tacky.
Yan Funing shook her head: "You think this chessboard is broken? Then all the other chessboards in the world should be used as firewood."
Fu Ciyi sat down and raised his hand: "Let's play chess."
"Hurrah."
Yan Funing followed and sat down.
I didn't expect to lose three games in less than a quarter of an hour.
Fu Ciyi threw the chess piece in his hand into the chess basket and said in a cold voice, "Do you want to continue playing?"
"Down, naturally."
Yan Funing bit her lip, thinking hard, and managed to hold on for a quarter of an hour...
Lost two games.
It's some progress compared to before.
Who would have thought that the man sitting opposite him would chuckle: "Yan Funing, you are no match for me."
Yan Funing raised her eyes and glared at him.
Even though she had lost against Long Chi'an, she had occasionally won a game. But now, when she played against him, she was completely defeated in a matter of seconds.
The speed was so fast that she was annoyed.
"Can't you just let me go?"
"Will he let you play chess with Long Chi'an?"
The man's eyes were calm and his voice was surprisingly quiet.
"No." Yan Funing muttered, "Actually, he did let me go at first, but then I told him I didn't need to, so he stopped."
The man chuckled briefly, "Then why should I let you?"
Yan Funing was startled, her beautiful eyes widened and sparkled.
"Because you are my husband!"
After saying that, he hummed and sorted out the chessboard.
"From now on, if you want to play chess with me, I won't play. If I play chess with you again, I'll be a puppy."
