Chapter 78: Setting the Rules

Her gaze shifted to the bed and Yan Fu frowned.

How high would she have to lift her feet to break the rope?

Suddenly, it occurred to her that the thick sheets were too heavy, causing the rope to hang down, and it was hooked when she raised her leg.

He then tied a knot in the broken rope, temporarily placed the two quilts on the bed on a chair, then lifted the thin sheet, replaced it with a thick sheet, and hung the thin sheet back up.

After the bed sheets were made, Fu Ciyi came back.

The first thing he said when he walked in was: "I have a question I hope you can answer."

"you say."

Yan Funing carried the quilt from the chair back to the bed.

He asked, "What is the punishment for crossing the line?"

Yan Funing originally wanted to help him spread out the quilt, but when she heard what he asked, she paused.

"You mean, I crossed the line, how should I be punished?"

"right."

Fu Ciyi walked slowly to her side, took the quilt from her hand, and slowly spread it out.

He bent down slightly while making the quilt.

Yan Funing quietly stood behind him, raised her fist, and pretended to hit him.

But I didn't dare to really fight.

Fu Ciyi raised his eyebrows.

The bed he slept on was next to the desk, and the light from the candle on the desk shone over, casting her figure on the bed.

He could see her movements even without looking up.

Yan Funing bit the inside of her lip and waved her fist slightly in the air, but did not respond to his words.

Suddenly, he turned around.

The two stood face to face, their bodies only an inch apart.

Yan Funing was stunned and forgot to put down her raised fist.

The person was extremely tall, and standing so close to her, she felt an innate invisible sense of oppression pouring down from the top of her head.

Made her forget to react.

Fu Ciyi clasped her wrist with two fingers, his voice cold and deep: "You want to hit me?"

Perhaps because he had washed with cold water, his fingertips were slightly cool, and the coolness was transmitted to her skin through his sleeves.

"I know I'm in the wrong, so I want to give you a slap on the shoulder. I hope you'll be magnanimous and not mind me crossing the line."

Yan Funing pulled the corners of her lips awkwardly and struggled to free her wrist from his grip, but she couldn't.

"Who is it that is so sure of himself that he must confront me about the punishment for crossing the line?"

Fu Ciyi stared at her expression leisurely, his feather-like eyelashes fluttering, and his already watery almond-shaped eyes were covered with a layer of mist.

This woman clearly wanted to hit him, and now she was lying and feeling wronged?

"It's me. I crossed the line." Yan Funing lowered her eyes. "Just tell me how you want to punish me."

The voice was low and small, with a hint of crying in its gentle voice.

Fu Ciyi narrowed his eyes slightly and said calmly, "Punishment, remember this for now."

Yan Funing sniffed, and her nasal sound, which sounded like crying, became even heavier.

"Don't cry."

Fu Ciyi frowned slightly, why did it look like he had bullied her?

"I'm not crying, but you pinched me and it hurt."

Yan Funing raised her eyes to look at him, her beautiful eyes sparkling.

Only then did Fu Ciyi stop.

Yan Funing pulled up her sleeves to take a look, then quickly pulled them back and rubbed them slowly.

Fu Ciyi's eyes narrowed, and when he glanced at her fair wrists, he saw red marks on both sides from where he had pressed them.

He was really too pampered. He didn't use any strength at all.

Yan Funing walked to the edge of her bed and spread the quilt. After thinking for a moment, she discussed with him, "Fu Ciyi, can you please forget about me putting pressure on you?"

Thinking that he might have hurt her, Fu Ciyi said frankly in a gentle voice, "You didn't crush me. I just got out of bed when the rope broke."

Yan Funing felt relieved when she heard this.

"Since you didn't press on me, it can't be considered crossing the line. We have to agree that punishment only occurs when two people are in bed together and one person crosses the line."

Fu Ciyi shook his head: "In your opinion, you didn't cross the line this morning, so the rules start tonight?"

Yan Funing nodded: "Yes, from now on, whoever crosses the line will have reason to punish the other party."

Fu Ciyi: "What is the punishment? It is decided by the party whose boundary has been crossed."

Yan Funing nodded again: "Okay."

Fu Ciyi smiled faintly: "Okay."

He had a very good sleeping posture and would definitely not move to her side.

As for her, she probably needs to do some exercise.

--

In the next two days, Yan Funing asked Fu Beimo and Ali to go to the village school to deliver meals to Fu Ciyi.

As usual on the first day of school, the two of them ate the food brought by the headman's daughter and returned home.

At lunch that day, Fu Nanyao asked in confusion, "Sister-in-law, the meal you prepared for my brother is only for him. Logically, the headman's daughter would only prepare food for her cousin, so how could you let Beimo and Ali share it?"

Fu Beimo and Ali sat on a small stool, touching their full stomachs, looking funny.

Yan Funing lowered her head to eat and didn't respond.

Fu Nanyao added, "Unless she brought too much food on purpose, wanting her brother to eat her food."

Hearing his sister's words, Fu Beimo nodded: "Yes, she also picked up some food for her brother, but he refused."

Ali also said, "The teacher didn't eat, but we did. I was surprised because in the past, even when I was starving, the village headman wouldn't give me anything to eat. But these past few days, the village headman's daughter has been welcoming me with a smile and even told me to eat my fill."

It made him feel embarrassed.

Fu Nanyao glared at him: "How could she welcome you with a smile? She did it because of my brother!"

The headman's daughter obviously wanted to create an impression of being gentle and virtuous in front of her brother.

After a slight pause, she said directly: "Sister-in-law, please bring food to my brother tomorrow."

Yan Funing smiled lightly: "I think it's good that Bei Mo and Ali are sending him off. Ali can still have a full meal."

Someone is handsome and many women like him. How could she not know what the village head's daughter is thinking?
