The man took bigger steps: "It's too late."

Yan Funing was really panicking: "Fu Ciyi, you said you can't do the same stupid things as in your previous life."
"No." He kissed her. "Can't you even give me a kiss for your husband?"

"Of course I kissed everywhere."

The next day, early in the morning.
Yan Funing kicked Fu Ciyi hard on the leg, and only then did she feel better.
The man held her ankles, covered her with a brocade quilt, and said gently, "I'll go to the morning court first, and then I'll come back and we'll move together."
"Yeah." She nodded in a muffled voice.
The man kissed her on the forehead and then put on his clothes.
When they arrived at the court, Fu Ciyi and Yan Xinghe walked together in a secluded place.
"Everyone is much more active in coming to court today. Those who used to arrive a little late arrived especially early today." Yan Xinghe complained.
"They are all afraid of being demoted or dismissed from their posts." Fu Ciyi said calmly.
Soon, all the civil and military officials were lined up in the hall.
The new emperor Long Yi walked slowly and sat high on the dragon throne.
"Long live the emperor!" All civil and military officials saluted.
Long Yi raised his hand. "Everyone, please stand."
"Thank you, Your Majesty!"
"Today I will first confer titles on two Empress Dowagers. My legal mother will be the Empress Dowager, and my biological mother will be the Imperial Empress Dowager. Do you have any objections, my dear ministers?"
