Fu Ciyi's face was grim.
Does she want to practice before going to bed or in her room?
He still wanted to have a good sleep, so he said coldly: "Stick it for another half an incense stick of time."
Wan Niang always felt that her eldest son's words made sense when it came to practicing martial arts, so she started to persuade him, "Bei Mo, Fu Ning, you should listen to Ci Yi. It's right."
Fu Beimo had no choice but to tremble his arms and Yan Funing's legs, and the two of them continued to do horse stance obediently.
--
The next day, the sky was just getting light and the morning light was glimmering.
Fu Ciyi took Yan Funing, Fu Beimo and Ali for exercise along the river.
Although most of the villagers were still asleep, there were still some early risers washing by the river.
Coachman Li had just washed his face, picked up two large buckets of water and stood up, and met Fu Ciyi and others who were running.
"Master, what are you doing?"
Ali panted and said, "Master said this is a warm-up. After the warm-up, we will do horse stance. Once we are in horse stance firmly, Master will teach us kung fu."
Coachman Li looked at Fu Ciyi in disbelief: "Master, you know Kung Fu?"
Fu Beimo said proudly: "My brother is very good at Kung Fu."
Coachman Li nodded, but he didn't quite believe it.
"Then run slowly. My mother is waiting for me to fetch water."
After saying that, coachman Li walked steadily towards his house at the entrance of the village.
As he walked, he muttered to himself, "The Master has red lips and white teeth, and although he's a little taller than me..."
But at first glance, he is just a good-looking scholar.
He didn't believe he knew kung fu.
Fu Ciyi took Yan Funing and the others and ran back to the yard.
In order to prevent Fu Beimo and Ali from seeing Yan Funing's horse stance, he ordered the two half-grown boys to turn around and face the fence gate, while Yan Funing faced the main hall.
At this moment, Fu Nanyao was preparing breakfast in the kitchen. She only had to cook vegetables and rice, so she could do it by herself.
Fu Ciyi took advantage of this time to go back to his room to write.
As long as Fu Ciyi was not in the yard, the two teenagers would start chatting.
Fu Beimo: "Coachman Li doesn't believe my brother is good at martial arts."
Ali: "I noticed that too. If you don't believe me, forget it."
Yan Funing, with her back to them, asked, "Brother Li, he calls himself Coachman Li, and everyone in the village calls him that too. What's his real name?"
Ali laughed out loud: "He doesn't dare to say his real name."
Fu Beimo was also curious, so he repeated Yan Funing's question: "What's his real name?"
Ali smiled and replied, "Li Agou, that's the name his mother gave him. When Coachman Li grew up, he thought the name was embarrassing and wouldn't let anyone call him that. He would get angry at anyone who did. He was big, so no one could beat him. After a while, no one dared to call him that to his face."
Yan Funing said, "Giving him a humble name makes him easier to raise. That's probably what his mother meant."
There was a lot of chatter in the yard. Fu Ciyi looked over the windowsill and said coldly, "Fu Beimo Ali will add one incense stick of time, and Yan Funing will add half an incense stick of time."
The three people who were doing horse stance fell silent immediately.
The yard became quiet.
Soon, half an incense stick of time passed, and then another half an incense stick of time passed.
Wanniang called Ali to have breakfast together.
Ali consciously helped to get the dishes and chopsticks.
After dinner, Fu Ciyi and Yan Funing prepared to go into the mountains.
Fu Beimo acted coquettishly towards Yan Funing: "Sister-in-law, I want to go too."
Yan Funing looked at Fu Ciyi and said softly, "Why don't we let Bei Mo go with us?"
Fu Ciyi pondered and said, "There is no firewood at home. Beimo and Ali went into the mountains to collect firewood this time."
When they heard that they could go together, the two teenagers jumped up.
Soon, the four set off.
There was no firewood to be picked up on the hill near their home, so the four of them walked deep into the mountains.
Fu Beimo picked up the broken branches on the ground, while Ali chopped wood with an axe.
Fu Ciyi took out the rope from the backpack and threw it on the ground: "When you have enough firewood, you can carry it down the mountain."
Ali stopped using his hatchet and said, "Master, are you going to separate from us here?"
"Yes, we have to go to the deep mountains and old forests." Fu Ciyi's voice was cold, "You carry the firewood down the mountain, and don't delay on the way."
Fu Beimo finally reacted and complained softly: "I still can't be with my sister-in-law."
Yan Funing smiled and consoled him: "I'll go to town tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, and take you with me."
Fu Beimo was happy then and waved to his brother and sister-in-law.
--
Half an hour later, Fu Beimo and Ali each carried two bundles of firewood back.
The firewood picked up is brittle and easy to break when burning, so it can be put directly into the woodshed.
The firewood Ali chopped was thick, almost as thick as a man's arm. Such firewood was difficult to ignite, so he diligently chopped the firewood with an axe.
Fu Nanyao saw that he was working efficiently and poured him some water.
Ali took the bowl and blushed as he drank the water.
Fu Nanyao didn't see it, so she called Fu Beimo to stack the chopped firewood neatly.
When the sun was setting, the sky suddenly became gloomy.
Fu Nanyao hurried to the courtyard to collect clothes, then turned to ask her mother, "Mom, is it going to rain? It looks like it's going to rain, and the wind is getting stronger."
Wan Niang felt the wind with her face and noticed some moisture in it. She said, "It's going to rain, and it's going to rain hard. Ci Yi and Fu Ning haven't come back yet. What should we do?"
Ali quickly put all the unchopped firewood into the woodshed, and then said to Wanniang, "Aunt, I'll go get the umbrella."
Fu Beimo also said, "Mom, Ali and I will go and deliver the umbrella."
Wan Niang shook her head: "They both went to the deep mountains and old forests. Where can you find them?"
Not long after, the rain really started to fall.
It started out as a drizzle, and soon it got heavier.
The four of them sat in the main room, waiting for Fu Ciyi and Yan Funing to return.
At this moment, the trees on the mountain were bare, and the rain easily soaked Fu Ciyi and Yan Funing.
