"Really?" Elder Cen turned his head to look at Qingtian, whose hands and face were stained with white flour. "Don't you like dumplings?"
Qingtian held up four fingers with a grimace on his face.
"What do you mean?" Mr. Cen was puzzled.
"She said she's already eaten four meals in a row and doesn't feel like eating anymore." Mrs. Ye explained with a smile, "Don't worry about her, let's cook the dumplings first.
"I'll just have to make her one less bite to eat later."
When she was halfway through wrapping the dumplings, Mrs. Ye had already put water in the pot to boil. When she lifted the lid, the water was already boiling.
She poured two lids of dumplings directly into the pot.
Soon, after adding water three times, when the water in the pot boiled again, the dumplings that looked like ingots floated up, each one white, plump and round and extremely cute.
Mrs. Ye picked up a colander and scooped the dumplings from the pot into several plates, then called Mr. Cen and Shi Lei to come over and try them.
Mr. Cen picked up a dumpling, blew on it, and gently bit off a corner.
The juice in the dumpling filling immediately gushed out, and it did have a unique and refreshing fragrance.
Mr. Cen stuffed the dumpling directly into his mouth and chewed it carefully to taste it.
Meng Yu waited beside him with anticipation, waiting to see his astonished look.
Mr. Cen quickly raised his eyebrows, a look of surprise on his face, but more of it was approval and appreciation.
Meng Yu was very familiar with Mr. Cen. When he saw his expression, he immediately understood that he was very satisfied with the dumplings.
He immediately turned to look at Shi Lei and urged, "Hurry up and try it."
Shi Lei picked up his chopsticks only after he saw that Mr. Cen had finished eating.
He was tall and strong, and he was not as gentle as Mr. Cen when eating dumplings. He just picked up a dumpling and put it into his mouth.
After just two bites, Shi Lei's eyes suddenly widened and his eyeballs almost popped out.
Mrs. Ye was startled by him and thought he was scalded. She quickly picked up the ladle and handed it to him: "Drink a few sips of cold water quickly, don't burn your mouth."
Shi Lei subconsciously reached out to take the water scoop, but did not drink it. Instead, he reached directly for the dumplings with the chopsticks in his right hand, picked up two at once and threw them into his mouth.
Seeing that he was so engrossed in eating that he didn't care about anything else, Meng Yu laughed so hard that he fell down.
"Don't pay any attention to it, Madam You. This is what he does when he encounters something delicious. It's like a cow chewing a peony!"
