After listening to Wei Yan's explanation, Qin Songyin felt a lot more comfortable.
He looked at the dozen or so boxes that Wei Yan had hired to bring back from outside and said, "There are so many things that need to be packed up here. Why don't I call a few more people to serve you?"
Wei Yan shook his head and said, "I can't leave the things here to others. I can only clean up slowly by myself."
As he spoke, he opened a few boxes and saw that they were all filled with books.
These books appear to be a mixture of old and new, but are all in good condition.
Qin Songyin discovered at a glance that there were at least two unique copies.
"Are there only books in the box?"
Not to mention the servants, even Qin Songyin was shocked.
Not only are the books extremely valuable, but some of them are rare and cannot be bought even with money.
"Mr. Wei, where did you get so many books?"
"These were all left at the homes of several friends before I left Beijing. Some of them had been there for several years, and now I have finally got them back.
"Master Qin, if there's anything you'd like to see, you're welcome to come over often."
Looking at the dozen or so boxes filling up the study floor, Qin Songyin couldn't help but get excited. This was like a windfall.
"Mr. Wei, how can I let you sort out so many books by yourself?" Qin Songyin said, "I'll go call He Xuan and ask him to come and help you!"
When Wei Yan heard that Qin Hexuan was asked to come, he nodded and did not refuse.
Qin Songyin then happily said goodbye and went back. As soon as he left the courtyard, he ordered, "Come here, go and call Hexuan to my study."
Qin Hexuan was doing homework in his room. When he heard that his father was looking for him, he quickly stopped writing, tidied his clothes and went over.
"Father, you have something to ask me."
"Hexuan, Mr. Wei's proposal to move out was cleverly resolved by your mother's idea.
"I was worried that Mr. Wei might be upset, but I didn't expect he would like the current arrangement."
"Oh? Has father discussed this with Mr.?"
"Of course, and I have some great news for you." Qin Songyin said with a smile, "Mr. Wei has moved all the dozen or so boxes of books that he had left at his friend's house to ours.
"You should be more diligent these days and help Mr. Wei tidy up when you have time.
"This is a treasure that cannot be bought with money. You must know how to cherish it!"
