Chapter 45 Life is not easy, sunny days sigh

Only after Mrs. Ye finished speaking did she see clearly that Qingtian was holding three candied haws in his hand.

"My eldest daughter-in-law, I'm not saying anything bad, but even if you love your child, you can't let him eat so many candied haws at once. How can his stomach handle it?"

"Mother, how could I dare let her eat three!" Mrs. Ye hurriedly explained, "She insisted on buying the other two for Young Master Qin and Changrui."

When Qingtian heard this, he immediately twisted his body and indicated that he wanted to go down.

Mrs. Ye knew what she was going to do. She bent down and put her on the ground, helped her pull up her clothes and said, "Walk slowly, don't run, and be careful not to fall!"

Qingtian held three candied haws and walked up the stairs step by step.

Wei Yan was explaining the article they were reciting today to Qin Hexuan and Ye Changrui when he heard a gentle knock on the door.

"Come in." Wei Yan said loudly.

The door was pushed open a crack, and then Qingtian came in holding a candied haws.

Seeing the three candied haws in her hand, Wei Yan's eyes lit up.

But Qingtian only held up two of the candied haws and said, "Brother Qin, big brother, have some candied haws."

Wei Yan's originally bright eyes dimmed a little, but he really didn't have the face to compete with the students for food.

"Then let's take a break for a quarter of an hour and continue after you finish eating."

After Mr. Wei left, Ye Changrui picked up Qingtian and placed her on the chair next to him.

He took the two strings of candied haws from Qingtian, hesitated for a moment, and then tentatively handed one string to Qin Hexuan.

He didn't know whether a young master of Qin Hexuan's status would eat this kind of food bought on the roadside.

But this was Qingtian's intention, and he didn't want to disappoint his sister.

Fortunately, Young Master Qin was not picky. He took the candied haws and even said thank you to Qingtian.

Qingtian immediately smiled with his eyes curved: "Brother Qin, you're welcome!"

After she finished speaking, she turned to look at Ye Changrui. This was what her elder brother had just taught her two days ago.

"That's right." Ye Changrui immediately nodded and praised, "Qingtian is really smart. Big Brother taught you once and you remembered it."

Qin Hexuan endured it again and again after hearing this, but finally asked, "Qingtian, do you still remember the poem I taught you before?"

"Remember." Qingtian nodded and was about to continue eating the candied haws when he saw Qin Hexuan's eager eyes.

She had to recite the four lines of poetry again.

Ye Changrui, however, seemed to be competing with Qin Hexuan and immediately said, "Qingtian, didn't big brother teach you to recite "Ode to the Goose" yesterday?"

"But, but..." Qingtian pouted, "I want to eat candied haws, why do you have to make me recite a poem?"

Qin Hexuan felt that he had the upper hand, and a barely noticeable smile appeared on the corner of his lips as he said, "Yes, let Qingtian enjoy the candied haws!"

Although Ye Changrui didn't know why, he always felt like he had lost, and looked at his sister with some resentment.

She is obviously my sister, why does she seem to be better with Young Master Qin?

Qingtian couldn't help but sigh. It was so difficult to coax both brothers!

Three children upstairs gathered together to eat candied haws, and a few kids downstairs were running around in the yard holding candied haws.

Through the slightly opened window, Mrs. Guo saw her nephews eating candied haws outside. Her eyes immediately lit up and her mouth began to drool involuntarily.

She squinted her eyes, placed her hands on her lower abdomen, raised her foot and lightly kicked Ye Lao Si who was massaging her calves, and said, "I want to eat candied haws, too."

"I'll buy it for you right now!" This was not an excessive request, so Ye Laosi agreed readily.

Although the family has not been divided yet, the money is all in the hands of Old Mrs. Ye.

But after all, the sons have all started their own families, and it is impossible for Old Lady Ye to leave them no money at all.

When they first got married, Ye Laosi had saved almost four hundred dollars.

But less than two months after the marriage, Guo had spent almost all of the money.

Now there are only more than 200 coins left.

If I hadn't fled the famine and had nowhere to spend the money, I'm afraid I wouldn't have had this much left.

But after he left with the money, he walked around the inn several times and went through several surrounding streets, but he couldn't find anyone selling candied haws.

I don’t know whether they went home after selling their goods or went somewhere else to continue selling their goods.

Ye Laosi searched outside for a long time, but finally had to return empty-handed.

At this moment, Guo was thinking about the taste of candied haws in her mind. She seemed to have tasted the sour and sweet taste in her mouth, and her saliva was flowing out uncontrollably.

When he saw that Ye Laosi returned empty-handed, he was immediately filled with disappointment.

"Where's the candied haws?" Guo asked unhappily, "You were out for such a long time, and you came back empty-handed?"

"I looked around for a long time but couldn't find anyone selling candied haws. I asked someone and they said the old man who sells candied haws only comes in the morning and goes home after he sells everything. If I want to buy more, I have to wait until tomorrow morning."

Ye Lao Si took out two small paper bags from his pocket and put them on the table, saying with a smile: "Although I didn't buy candied haws, I bought mountain red and rock sugar.

"Just make do with it today. I'll go out early tomorrow and give it to you..."

Before Ye Lao Si could even utter the last word, Guo Shi had already said unhappily, "Listen to yourself. Is what you said reasonable? How can this be the same?"

She knew very well that she might not be able to control Old Lady Ye.

But for Ye Laosi, it can definitely be said that he has the upper hand.

Sure enough, under Guo's accusing gaze, Ye Lao Si finally gave in and stood up and said, "Okay, you are my aunt now, I will go out and find it and buy it for you, right?"
