Chapter 50: Kidnapping
Bai Mingchen looked at her with a puzzled look, "Ineffective?"
Sang Tian briefly told the five people what happened last night.
"It seems that your spiritual spring water can only heal external injuries, but cannot restore your mental strength."
Qing Zhi realized that Sang Tian's fatigue and sleepiness were most likely caused by excessive loss of mental energy.
Without the cloud, they couldn't check the female master's mental power.
"Excessive consumption of mental power?" After being reminded by Qing Zhi, Sang Tian realized that she had neglected her mental power. Now that she has superpowers, excessive consumption will indeed damage her mental power.
"Well, don't use your supernatural powers until you complete the mission. Symptoms like yours will only occur when your mental strength is severely depleted."
Sang Tian understood. It seemed that her supernatural powers were not at the level of defying the heavens.
The sky gradually darkened and strong winds began to blow in the desert. The sand was blown up by the wind and was about to blow into people's eyes.
Qing Zhi moved closer and subconsciously raised his hand to block the wind and sand for Sang Tian.
"Wu Lanyuan was right." Bai Mingchen raised his lips in a cold smile and squinted his eyes to look into the distance. "A sandstorm is coming soon."
Sang Tian raised her eyes, followed his gaze, and saw a shocking scene.
The rolling yellow sand formed a huge cloud and swept towards them. The wind began to strengthen, making a whistling sound, and the air was filled with the fishy smell of fine sand mixed with sand.
The tent was blown away by the strong wind, and the wind and sand hit Sang Tian. A strong force pushed her backwards, as if she was about to be blown away at any time.
Li Su hugged her waist tightly and held her tightly in his arms.
In this kind of weather, no one dares to speak, because if they do, they will get a mouthful of sand.
Shen Jinxi had just taken precautions when the sandstorm quickly engulfed them.
Shen Jinxi wore goggles and a mask, which did not affect her vision or speech at all.
"Xiaoxi, how did you know there would be a sandstorm? You actually prepared everything in advance?!" Zuo Ya spoke loudly, but her voice was drowned out by the wind.
Shen Jinxi didn't hear what she said clearly. She couldn't see her lips through the mask, but she could vaguely tell that Zuo Ya was talking.
She waved her hand, signaling Zuo Ya not to talk to her anymore.
Sang Tian also had these things in her space, but the sandstorm was too strong now, and she didn't even dare to open her eyes, let alone go to the cloud space to get the equipment.
The five beastmen formed a circle and protected Sang Tian in the center.
Sang Tian felt the wind weakening. She opened her eyes and saw that she was surrounded. Her heart skipped a beat and it would be a lie to say she wasn't moved.
She didn't dare to delay and hurriedly summoned the space to take out the prepared goggles and mask.
Even after putting on the equipment, the sandstorm continued to grow stronger.
Due to the lack of clouds and the strong wind, the six people could only rely on tacit understanding and eye contact.
Bai Mingchen raised his chin and gestured to continue moving forward.
Qing Zhi shook her head and refused, pointing to her heart, suggesting that Bai Mingchen read her mind.
"There might be an A-level monster ahead. If we rush forward now, what about her?"
Bai Mingchen was worried. They were very close to Shen Jinxi now. If they waited for the A-level monster to come to them, she might intercept them. He was worried that they would become the passive party.
Both of them have their own concerns.
Sang Tian took the initiative to grab Bai Mingchen's wrist and pointed at herself like Qing Zhi did, "Is it my turn? Read mine quickly, read mine quickly."
Bai Mingchen nodded at her, a smile showing in his eyes behind the goggles.
"How long will this sandstorm last?"
Bai Mingchen had no way of telling Sang Tian the result. It usually took at least two hours, and during this time they had to be on guard against strange beasts.
They are accustomed to sandstorms and can even use this innate advantage to attack.
In sandstorm weather, the field of vision can only see things within five meters, which is the best opportunity for the monster to attack.
Bai Mingchen put his hand on the back of her neck, closing the distance between them and leaning close to Sang Tian's ear.
He spoke in a moderate voice, not daring to speak too loudly. "At least an hour. Do you think we should move forward or rest here? Qing Zhi said there might be an A-level monster waiting ahead, but Shen Jinxi is very close to us, and I'm worried she might make some small moves."
The wind was so loud that Sang Tian could barely hear clearly. If she couldn't hear clearly, she would extract key words and guess the meaning.
Through the mask, she could clearly feel Bai Mingchen's lips moving, and warmth came to her ears through the mask.
As he spoke, it felt like a feather brushed across the tip of her heart, causing a tingling sensation deep inside her.
After Bai Mingchen finished speaking, he lowered his eyes and waited for Sang Tian's decision.
Sang Tian hooked her finger, motioning him to lower his head.
Bai Mingchen was touched by her playful actions and leaned closer again.
"Keep going."
Sang Tian had the same idea as Bai Mingchen. She didn't want to stand there stupidly. She wanted to take advantage of the current unclear visibility and the fact that Shen Jinxi and the others couldn't see her to move to another place. Perhaps that would be better than the current situation. After all, she would just be eating sand wherever she stayed.
After Sang Tian finished speaking, Bai Mingchen nodded in agreement and signaled the others to continue forward.
Sang Tian felt the hand on her waist tightening. She pressed her whole body against Li Su, and when she touched Li Su's cold skin, she felt a chill on her back. Did this man want to protect her, or assassinate her?
Li Su felt the person in his arms trying to struggle and escape, but he relaxed his grip helplessly. The scene just now replayed in his mind, and his lungs were filled with anger.
With someone blocking the wind in front, the road was not as difficult as Sang Tian had thought.
After walking for nearly ten minutes, Bai Mingchen, who was at the front, stopped and looked at the figure in front.
The man turned around, revealing a black scorpion pattern printed on his left cheek. His eyeballs were completely black, with no whites in them. His eyes were hollow and fierce, staring intently in the direction of Sang Tian and the others, unafraid of the dust at all.
When Bi Jingyan saw the man, he suddenly became very excited and pointed at the man and asked doubtfully, "I killed this man once!!!"
Everyone was stunned, but soon realized that Bi Jingyan had been in a bad mood on the first night and did not come back until the second half of the night. It seemed that he had gone out to kill the strange beast in the first half of the night to vent his anger.
"Then why didn't you tell me earlier that there was an A-level exotic beast?" Sang Tian asked him in a hoarse voice.
"I didn't notice."
Sang Tian was speechless. Thinking about it carefully, this man was really bad-tempered. If someone didn't know better, they would think she had done something wrong to make him so angry.
Bai Mingchen looked at Wu Lanyuan, suggesting that he go with him, while the other three stayed to protect Sang Tian.
Wu Lanyuan agreed, but Bi Jingyan disagreed and wanted to go with them, determined to kill the other party again.
So the three of them rushed forward and looked at each other, feeling that whoever grabbed it first would get it.
Shen Jinxi received a prompt from the system and knew that Sang Tian and the others had started to move, so she couldn't help but speed up her pace.
The others didn't understand what she wanted to do and could only grit their teeth and follow.
Shen Jinxi walked over to Bai Jie and also came close to her, but their postures were completely different from Sang Tian and Bai Mingchen. They looked more like a master giving a confidential mission.
"You can dig holes, right? Go and take Sang Tian to the quicksand."
Shen Jinxi gave the location of Sang Tian and Liusha, wanting to use Bai Jie's supernatural powers to take them away.
She couldn't take Sang Tian's life now. What she wanted was to lure the tiger away from the mountain. After Bai Mingchen and the others had beaten the strange beast to death, she would go over and reap the benefits.
