Chapter 12 Zhu Yu's Mother Arrives

Inside the main courtyard, Lu Xiaoyun was completely unaware of the good deed that Zhu Yu's kind attendant had done for her. Extremely weak and exhausted, she was fast asleep.

Jiang Chuan originally thought that Consort Duan was the prince's birth mother, and since her son had just woken up from serious injuries, she should at least come and check on his injuries first. So after delivering the medicine, he hurriedly returned to the main courtyard and stood guard at the door.

But to his surprise, instead of the person who came to guard the gate, the gatekeeper hurriedly came to report that Consort Duan had stepped into the gate of Prince An's mansion and asked the steward guarding the gate which courtyard Lu Xiaoyun was in.

The steward dared not delay and naturally replied respectfully.

As a result, Consort Duan led the group from the palace directly to Feixue Garden, guided by a servant from Prince An's residence.

The prince's injury was not mentioned at all.

Jiang Chuan had a headache, so he went into the room and woke Lu Xiaoyun up: "Your Highness, Your Highness, wake up!"

Lu Xiaoyun was woken up and looked annoyed. With her eyes still closed, she waved her hand and asked, "What?"

Jiang Chuan was startled; why was the prince acting so effeminate?

"Consort Duan has arrived."

Lu Xiaoyun suddenly opened her eyes, and when she saw Jiang Chuan, she closed her eyes and sighed, realizing that she probably couldn't go back to the modern world.

She threw back the covers and got up: "Where are we?"

Jiang Chuan had a complicated story to tell: "Consort Duan went directly to Feixue Garden..."

"What!" Before Jiang Chuan could finish speaking, Lu Xiaoyun instantly woke up and jumped out of bed.

When Consort Duan came to Prince An's residence, she did not come to see her "son" who had just woken up from serious injuries immediately, but went directly to Feixue Garden. What was the matter?

She didn't think Consort Duan was so kind as to visit her daughter-in-law; she was probably there to torment her.

If Consort Duan accidentally kills someone, she'll be finished too.

Zhu Yu is no longer able to withstand Consort Duan's antics.

Lu Xiaoyun quickly put on her shoes, took a towel from Jiang Chuan, wiped her face casually, hurriedly dressed, and rushed out.

Jiang Chuan: "Your Highness, you are still injured, please take it easy."

"Come with me to Feixue Garden," Lu Xiaoyun said without turning her head.

Go to Feixue Garden? Is Your Highness in such a hurry to see how Consort Duan tortures that woman Lu Xiaoyun?

He had clearly seen the menacing demeanor of Consort Duan and her entourage; that woman was in for a rough time.

Goodness, is Your Highness in such a hurry to join the fun?

He wants to go too.

Lu Xiaoyun walked in a hurry, while Consort Duan and her large group walked slowly. Just as Consort Duan and her entourage entered the courtyard, Lu Xiaoyun appeared at the door.

"Mother."

Just as the maidservant beside Consort Duan reached out to push open the door, Lu Xiaoyun's voice came from behind.

The person walking in front stopped and turned around to look behind them.

The servants brought by Consort Duan stood on both sides and knelt down to greet Lu Xiaoyun: "Greetings, Your Highness."

"Get up, everyone." Lu Xiaoyun waved her hand, and everyone stood up quietly on both sides. A few palace maids secretly raised their eyes to look at the handsome and tall man in front of them.

Today, Prince An was dressed in a light blue embroidered brocade robe with piping, a jade belt around his waist, broad shoulders and a narrow waist, and his black hair was tied up with a golden crown. He was extremely handsome and had an elegant demeanor.

At this moment, he walked lightly, the corners of his mouth were slightly upturned, and his eyebrows were slightly raised. He showed no signs of having just woken up from a serious injury and coma.

These palace maids must have seen Prince An before, but the Prince An of the past had a cold and stern face, and his whole body was filled with a cold aura. No one dared to approach him within three zhang. How could he have such a gentle and refined temperament as he does today?

It's impossible not to be captivated by Prince An. Several palace maids exchanged glances, blushed instantly, and quickly lowered their heads.

Lu Xiaoyun noticed it out of the corner of her eye. Zhu Yu must have received a lot of attention in the past, so she couldn't let it slip.

He took a few steps to Consort Duan and said respectfully, "Your son greets Consort Duan."

Consort Duan gave a faint "hmm" and gestured for the nanny to open the door.

Lu Xiaoyun hurriedly stepped forward and blocked the nanny and the door: "Mother, what brings you here? Your son has already ordered people to prepare Yunmei Garden. You can stay in the Prince's Mansion from now on. How about I take you there to rest first?"

Consort Duan was surprised. Why was Yu'er so close to her today?

She wanted to hold Lu Xiaoyun's hand, but withdrew it halfway, a polite smile on her face: "Why are you up? The steward said you were sleeping, so Mother Consort didn't let anyone disturb you. How are your injuries?"

Lu Xiaoyun smiled faintly: "My injuries are much better now that Mother is here. How can I still be lying in bed? Why don't I accompany you back to Yunmei Garden first?"

"No rush. I've had the housekeeper take some people to pack and tidy up."

Consort Duan looked at this "son" without showing any emotion, but she felt that something was wrong. Why was he deliberately trying to please her today, and why did he send her away? "Mother came to see Miss Lu first. I heard that she was also injured."

Inside the room, Zhu Yu's back was soaked with sweat from the "chili powder medicine," but no matter how uncomfortable he was, he could still hear the sounds outside.

He had been injured for many days and never dared to hope that his mother would come to see him.

He was not raised by his mother from a young age. Before he was three months old, his mother handed him over to palace servants to raise. After he turned thirteen, he joined the Northwest Army. In the past ten years, he has only returned to Shengjing a handful of times during his campaigns, and he has never had a proper time with his mother.

He had always thought that the bond between him and his mother would remain weak and distant throughout his life.

But now, Mother Consort is going to stay at Prince An's residence?

Was it the Emperor's will, or the Empress Dowager's will?

If possible, perhaps his mother could help him switch his body back with Lu Xiaoyun's as soon as possible.
