Chapter 134 Your Highness, the price you paid was too high.

"Jiang Chuan!" Lu Xiaoyun called out.

Jiang Chuan immediately agreed, and before leaving, he hurriedly said to Wu Chuan, "Go and do what the prince just asked you to do."

Wu Chuan stopped kneeling, kowtowed to Lu Xiaoyun's back, and then hurried out of the mansion.

Jiang Chuan followed closely behind Lu Xiaoyun. Lu Xiaoyun walked slowly with her hands behind her back. As dawn broke, people who had gotten up early were busy in various places in the mansion.

Jiang Chuan returned to the Prince An's Mansion last night. When he arrived, Lu Xiaoyun had already gone to sleep. He didn't sleep that night either, and he and Wu Chuan guarded outside Lu Xiaoyun's room, one standing and the other kneeling.

Jiang Chuan's mind raced, and he felt that his prince had suffered a great injustice in this assassination attempt.

Lu Xiaoyun noticed something was off about Jiang Chuan after she got up; the little attendant seemed to have matured a lot overnight.

Feeling Jiang Chuan peeking at her from behind, Lu Xiaoyun felt really uncomfortable. She stopped and turned around, saying, "If there's something you need, just say it."

Jiang Chuan's eyes were bloodshot. He looked up at the person in front of him. The face was still the same, but it was clearly so different.

His throat tightened, and he suddenly knelt down before Lu Xiaoyun with a thud: "Your Highness, I know you are suffering."

Lu Xiaoyun blinked, puzzled. Was she feeling bitter? He knew? What did he know?

Could it be that he knows she and Zhu Yu have swapped bodies? But then again, that seems unlikely. Jiang Chuan can't see the data on the ring. If he knew this secret, the system would retaliate, but it didn't. So what does he know?

Lu Xiaoyun looked down at Jiang Chuan, her face grim, and asked, "Tell me, what do you know?"

Jiang Chuan bit his lip and, seeing that no one was around, said, "Your Highness, you were shot in the heart with an arrow on your wedding night, and when you woke up, you were like a different person. Moreover, the wound healed so quickly. In less than half an hour, you were able to get out of bed, and in less than two days, such a serious injury was completely healed. This is unbelievable."

Jiang Chuan looked up at Lu Xiaoyun through teary eyes, his voice choked with sobs, "And it was an arrow to the heart, how could that be?"

Lu Xiaoyun's heart skipped a beat. Jiang Chuanzhen knew?!

Lu Xiaoyun remained silent, and Jiang Chuan continued, "Although you gave me a book on psychology, saying that people who have experienced great ups and downs, especially those who have been on the verge of death, will have their personalities drastically changed, I actually believed it, and even convinced Feng Yan to believe it. But now, thinking about it carefully, Your Highness, don't you think this is just a cover-up?"

Lu Xiaoyun's hands were clenched tightly in her sleeves, and her well-defined face was tense.

"The day before yesterday, when we went to Ganlu Temple, Feng Yan prepared a horse for you, but you refused to ride it. On the way back, there were assassins. Not only did you not fight back, but you and the princess were forced to fall off a cliff. If it weren't for Mr. Lu's rescue, you would probably be in grave danger."

“Yesterday, when you went to the villa to interrogate the assassin, it was such an urgent matter, yet you didn’t ride a horse. Xi Yi rushed over to say that Feng Yan was in danger and needed to return to the mansion immediately to save him, but you insisted on riding a horse with him.”

“Your Highness, I have followed you since I was a child and know you very well. You dislike being close to others, let alone two men riding together on the same horse. This is too abnormal.”

He found out after all! Lu Xiaoyun's heart pounded like a drum, her mind buzzing. Oh no, the system was probably about to retaliate.

At this point, Jiang Chuan closed his eyes, his throat choked with emotion, almost crying out: "The only explanation is that you went through a series of calamities and survived by the skin of your teeth. Although you survived, you lost all your martial arts skills and can't even ride a horse anymore!"

“Yesterday, we had already arrived at the gate of the villa, and just as we were about to get off the carriage, your expression suddenly changed drastically, and you ordered us to return to the manor immediately. At the time, I couldn’t understand why you suddenly stopped the interrogation when we had already arrived. But we had only traveled ten miles back when Xi Yi arrived, saying that Feng Yan was in trouble and we needed to return to the manor immediately to rescue him.”

"It wasn't until you and Xi Yi left that I understood everything." Jiang Chuan finally sobbed as he said this, and hugged Lu Xiaoyun's leg.

Lu Xiaoyun's heart was pounding so hard it felt like it was going to jump out of her throat. It seemed her ten-day trip to ancient times was about to end in this kid's hands.

"Your Highness, Heaven has been kind to you, allowing you to return and granting you the ability to predict the future. However, you have paid the price of losing all your martial arts skills. How can Your Highness bear such a heavy burden alone? Feng Yan, Wu Chuan, Xi Yi, and I have been by your side ever since, how could you not tell us?"

What?

Lu Xiaoyun was completely dumbfounded. It turned out that Jiang Chuan thought his prince had traded his martial arts skills for the ability to predict the future.

Lu Xiaoyun's lips twitched violently, and she slowly released her clenched hands, revealing red marks on her calloused palms.

Jiang Chuan cried out again, "Because you have lost all your martial arts skills, you are no longer so cold and aloof these days. You are much gentler to me and my subordinates than before."

"Although I don't think there's anything wrong with this, at least we're living like human beings. But Your Highness, you really don't have to treat us like this because of this. Isn't this a sign that you don't trust us?"

"We are your loyal servants, and will be loyal to you alone for all eternity..."

Lu Xiaoyun almost burst out laughing.

This little attendant is actually quite cute.

She pursed her lips, suppressing a smile, and bent down to help Jiang Chuan up: "Who else knows about this?"

Jiang Chuan stood up with an expression of certainty, wiping away his tears: "Only I know, but Feng Yan probably has a rough idea too. Feng Yan is a man of few words, he just hasn't said anything."

Lu Xiaoyun had long noticed that Feng Yan's gaze towards her was a bit off, and Jiang Chuan's reaction was another reasonable explanation.

Lu Xiaoyun patted Jiang Chuan on the shoulder: "The fewer people who know about this, the better. The Prince An's Mansion is currently facing internal and external troubles. If others find out, it's uncertain whether the Prince An's Mansion can be saved."

Jiang Chuan immediately assured him, "I understand, Your Highness. Don't worry. So, is that why you're in such a hurry to hand over the tiger tally?"

Lu Xiaoyun nodded, sighed deeply, and said softly, "Not only have I lost all my martial arts skills, but I also don't remember many things."

Jiang Chuan's throat tightened, but he dared not cry out. He choked out, "It's because I'm too stupid, Your Highness, please punish me."

Lu Xiaoyun chuckled lightly: "Why would I punish you? It's because I don't want you to know."

Jiang Chuan pursed his lips and said, "Then, I'll go talk to Feng Yan about it, so he won't find out and start overthinking things."

Lu Xiaoyun nodded.

"Let's go to Feixue Garden."

When the two arrived at Feixue Garden, Yuan Xiuzheng brought breakfast with his men.
