Chapter 15: Society Death, Someone in the Toilet

Lu Xiaoyun glanced at the backyard of the Prince An's mansion. The snow was thick, obviously because it had been snowing heavily for the past few days. The servants of the Prince An's mansion hadn't had time to clean it, so the ground was naturally very slippery.

Now that things have come to this point, she couldn't possibly refuse to send Consort Duan to Yunmei Garden.

Furthermore, she learned from her conversation with Zhu Yu that there were hidden guards in every corner of the Prince An's mansion.

So she cleared her throat and ordered, "Someone, immediately clear all the snow from the road leading to Yunmei Garden!"

Sure enough, as soon as she shouted, a guard went out to call the servants of the Prince's mansion to clear the snow.

She's a genius! In this way, she can simply support Consort Duan as she walks slowly behind, and at the same time, she can get familiar with the Prince An's residence.

The servants of Prince An's mansion dared not delay. A large group of them grabbed brooms and shovels and swept the road from Feixue Garden to Yunmei Garden spotlessly clean.

Lu Xiaoyun secretly breathed a sigh of relief, thankfully she hadn't given herself away.

This was also due to Zhu Yu's unfamiliarity with his mother, the concubine.

After much trouble, they finally managed to get the person to Yunmei Garden without any problems.

However, the wound in her heart had not yet truly healed. After going to Feixue Garden and the delay along the way, more than an hour had passed. At this moment, Lu Xiaoyun's face was a little pale, and her body was also slightly weak.

At this time, Consort Duan naturally prioritized restoring the relationship between mother and son.

Seeing this, she said, "Yu'er, you don't look well. Your serious injuries haven't fully healed yet. There's nothing else for me to do here. Go back and rest well."

Lu Xiaoyun was already exhausted and nodded, "Yes, Mother, please rest well. If you need anything, just have Zhang Mama ask the steward."

Consort Duan nodded and watched Lu Xiaoyun leave.

The people here were all brought by Consort Duan; no one escorted her back to the front courtyard.

Meanwhile, the servants of the Prince's mansion who had just cleared the snow were sent away by her to change their clothes.

After leaving Yunmei Garden, Lu Xiaoyun planned to return via Feixue Garden, as that was the only road she knew.

Just as they were about to step onto that road, a maidservant brought by Consort Duan, who had been brought by the steward to pack their things earlier, blocked the road and made way for the other side: "Greetings, Your Highness."

Lu Xiaoyun's forehead throbbed twice. This was clearly telling her that the path she had given up was the shortest way to the front yard.

But the person didn't know she was blocking the way, and was half-squatting down to greet her.

Lu Xiaoyun had no choice but to wave for everyone to get up, but since she wouldn't leave, the little maid didn't dare to move first.

Lu Xiaoyun had no choice but to bite the bullet and walk down that road.

I thought I could just walk a bit further and then turn over, but there were actually quite a few of Consort Duan's people cleaning and tidying up on that road.

Lu Xiaoyun had no choice but to continue walking.

After walking for quite a distance, Lu Xiaoyun realized she was lost when the road was deserted.

It’s over!

The Prince An's mansion was too big; she had no idea where she was right now.

Looking around, all I could see was a vast expanse of white snow.

Lu Xiaoyun rubbed her forehead, her head aching, and tentatively called out a few times, "Someone come here!"

As it turned out, whether it was because the place was too remote or something else, the supposedly ubiquitous bodyguards were nowhere to be found!

Lu Xiaoyun was truly speechless. It was urgent to familiarize herself with the servants of the Prince An's mansion and the entire mansion. At the very least, she needed to find out about Zhu Yu's confidants and what each of them was responsible for as soon as possible.

Here, in Yunmei Courtyard.

Consort Duan gazed at the red plum blossoms filling the courtyard, a faint sadness on her face.

Zhang Mama stood quietly behind Consort Duan, knowing that her mistress was once again recalling the scene of her first meeting with the Emperor many years ago.

"Granny Zhang, do you really think that all these red plum blossoms in the courtyard were planted especially for your mother, as Yu'er said?"

Zhang Mama immediately replied, "That's for sure, Your Highness. The Prince is cold on the outside but warm on the inside. He must know that you like red plum blossoms, so he planted a whole courtyard full of them. The Prince thinks of you all the time."

Consort Duan felt a stab in her heart: "You say that I have not given him a single bit of motherly love in the past twenty-three years? Have I done something wrong?"

Zhang Mama opened her mouth, then carefully said, "Your Highness, you are overthinking it. There's an old saying that a doting mother spoils her son. Your Highness is doing this to temper the Prince's character. Others may not know, but I've been by your side for so many years and I know that you've endured a lot of hardship all these years."

"But who is our Prince? He knows everything perfectly well. Otherwise, why would the Prince An's mansion be filled with red plum blossoms? And our Prince has not disappointed Your Majesty. He is the God of War of our Great Zhou. All the civil and military officials, even the Emperor, praise our Prince for his wisdom and martial prowess."

Consort Duan's smile faltered. She knew it wasn't like that. Ever since Zhu Yu was born, the emperor had grown tired of her, so she vented all her resentment on a little boy. Before he was even three months old, she had the palace servants take him away and never cared about him again.

Even when she heard about the assassination attempt three days ago, she was only a little worried at the time, afraid that something might really happen to him, but she didn't come to check on him.

The bond between mother and son was weak.

If it weren't for Yu'er, she and the emperor wouldn't have ended up like this.

Consort Duan reached out and gently plucked a red plum blossom, which landed in her palm, making her hand appear even whiter and bloodless.

Lu Xiaoyun walked very slowly when she returned. She had just woken up and her body was not yet fully compatible with Zhu Yu's, and she had already gone through all this trouble. By now, she was already somewhat exhausted.

Secondly, she has absolutely no sense of direction, sigh, it's a long story. She felt that every part of Zhu Yu's Prince An's mansion looked almost identical, with all the winding paths and corridors, it was so big that it really made her dizzy.

Before I even figured out where I was going, my stomach suddenly started hurting for no apparent reason!

And the pain was getting worse and worse. Lu Xiaoyun clutched her stomach, her face turned pale, and large beads of sweat rolled down her forehead.

Since she transmigrated here, she hasn't even had a sip of water, so why is she suddenly experiencing abdominal cramps?

However, there wasn't even a single servant from the Prince An's mansion in this place.

What should I do? Where is the toilet?

Lu Xiaoyun leaned against a tree and looked around. There was a courtyard to her right. She had no choice but to clutch her stomach and walk quickly toward the courtyard. If she was any later, she might wet her pants.

When the mighty Prince An soils his pants, that will be truly earth-shattering!

Thankfully, there's a clean room inside.

Lu Xiaoyun was in so much pain that she slipped inside, finding the place to be quite secluded.

There were several chamber pots inside, separated by a curtain, which seemed to be for the servants of the Prince's mansion.

Lu Xiaoyun didn't care anymore and quickly pulled off her belt and sat down.

Just as I was about to resolve the matter quickly, I suddenly heard rustling sounds coming from inside.

Lu Xiaoyun's mind went blank. How could there be other people in such a remote place?

Then a little girl's voice rang out.
