Chapter 25 The prince said, "Bring me a pair of chopsticks."

Lu Xiaoyun waved her hand, stopping the man in black from continuing: "The assassination attempt three days ago was suspicious and quite different from what we originally expected. Even I almost fell victim to their attacks. I think you may have been targeted, so I'm calling you back to your original names to at least confuse them."

This was the best way she could think of to fool the fact that she didn't recognize Zhu Yu's bodyguards.

The man in black pursed his lips and said, "Yes."

"So, what was your original name?"

"Your Majesty, my original name was Feng Yan."

"Feng Yan, that's a good name. You can call yourself Feng Yan from now on."

"yes."

"In addition, compile a list of the original names of all the secret guards in the Prince's Palace and give it to me."

"yes."

"Get up. How's the investigation going?"

Feng Yan stood up, thinking that his master had finally remembered to ask about the assassination: "Reporting to the master, we have investigated. The men in black did not have any markings, but we found clues on the arrows and discovered that they were from an assassin organization called Fengyue Gang."

Fengyue Gang? A gang of assassins?

The original owner was a good-for-nothing who just lazed around and waited to die; he had never even heard of such a江湖 (jianghu) organization.

This is really bad.

Never mind, I'll just have to ask Zhu Yu later.

Lu Xiaoyun gave a faint "hmm," and Feng Yan continued, "Although we have found out that these black-clad assassins are from the Fengyue Gang, we have no way of knowing who commissioned them and cannot find out who the mastermind is."

Feng Yan knelt on one knee to plead guilty: "It is our fault for failing in our duties. Please punish us, Master."

Assassin organization, huh? They do the job, get paid, and leave.

After his plan failed, he committed suicide by swallowing poison.

That's how it's portrayed on TV.

Lu Xiaoyun waved her hand: "Enough. I know what I'm doing. You continue the investigation and make sure to find out who hired the killer."

"yes!"

Lu Xiaoyun raised an eyebrow and looked at Feng Yan, asking, "Afterwards, did you find any other clues on the other people?"

Feng Yan shook his head: "Aside from finding out that it was the Fengyue Gang, all other leads have gone cold. Please rest assured, Master, I will definitely find the mastermind behind it. The Fengyue Gang is in Luocheng, and I will go to Luocheng right now."

Lu Xiaoyun said, "No rush, it's not too late to set off in a couple of days. Let's first find out the background of the people around Mother Consort."

"Yes, Master."

Lu Xiaoyun said, "Call Jiang Chuan in."

Feng Yan replied, "Your Majesty, Jiang Chuan has been summoned by Consort Duan and may not be back for a while. What are your orders?"

Consort Duan?

Why did she call over Zhu Yu's servant? Could she really be planning to kill Zhu Yu?

No, we have to settle him down before Consort Duan kills him. Only if Consort Duan sees her attitude as "Prince An" towards "Lu Xiaoyun" will she have some reservations for the sake of the hard-won "mother-son" relationship.

She said, "Protect the princess well, and make sure she lives. If the princess does anything to her, report to me immediately."

Feng Yan looked uncertainly at "Prince An." What did his master mean by that? Three days ago, he, as the head of the secret guards, had done many of the arrangements for the grand wedding according to his master's orders.

However, they did not expect that after capturing all the assassins, a person with extremely high martial arts skills and superb lightness skills would suddenly appear out of nowhere and shoot an arrow at their master.

They failed in their duty of protection; if their master hadn't still been alive, these bodyguards would have had to commit suicide to atone for their sins.

Logically speaking, the master wouldn't care about her life or death. If Consort Duan were in a good mood and wanted to beat or torture her, the master wouldn't interfere.

But obeying orders is a bodyguard's duty, and his master had his reasons for doing so: "Yes!"

Lu Xiaoyun added, "Also, have the steward send two thick quilts to Feixue Garden, move some usable tables, chairs and cabinets there, have someone repair the windows, and send some charcoal over as well. Feixue Garden must not be short of supplies."

Feng Yan couldn't help but ask, "Master, what's wrong...?"

Lu Xiaoyun leaned back in her chair and said calmly, "Lu Xiaoyun is still useful."

Feng Yan pursed his lips and said, "Yes."

Lu Xiaoyun nodded lightly: "Go ahead, and tell the steward not to be presumptuous. If Consort Duan asks, I will explain myself."

Feng Yan's lips trembled, and he got up to leave.

Before long, she heard Jiang's voice coming back.

I ate a bit too much at noon and drank two big bowls of soup. Several hours have passed, and with the urine that I peed halfway because I was scared by that little palace maid named Qingmei, it's finally here.

Strangely, I suddenly felt a sharp pain in my stomach when I came out of Yunmei Garden, but it passed quickly and nothing else happened.

Could it be that Zhu Yu has some kind of health problem?

No, she had to ask Zhu Yu about this properly, just in case he had some kind of terminal illness.

Lu Xiaoyun shifted uncomfortably in her chair and looked outside.

Moving around like this makes me feel even more like I need to pee.

Lu Xiaoyun harbored deep resentment and bitterness.

Even though she's considered a model young woman in modern society, she's still a virgin, okay?

Even though I've never eaten pork, I've still seen pigs run.

Men urinate standing up. Lu Xiaoyun twisted her buttocks and felt that her manhood was limp and she should use her hand to control its direction, otherwise she might wet her pants.

Actually, Lu Xiaoyun wanted to sit on the chamber pot, which would have been much easier, but the thought of being seen by the Prince's servants or some of the guards and scaring them all crazy was unthinkable.

Is it easy to do?

Lu Xiaoyun blushed.

So she called out, "Jiang Chuan."

Jiang Chuan, who was waiting outside, entered the room: "Your Highness."
