Her cry of "husband" made Sang Shijing's heart tremble.
He took a few deep breaths, then gently took her hand and led her to the table where red candles were burning.
After the ceremony, Li Yunyan shyly avoided his intense gaze, sat down in front of the dressing table, and raised her hand to remove the hairpins and ornaments from her head.
Sang Shijing walked up behind her, bent down and put his arm around her, his voice gentle and clear, "My lady, let me help you!"
"Thank you, my husband!"
Li Yunyan simply lowered her hands, rested her chin on her hands, and watched his movements through the bronze mirror.
It wasn't until he removed all the hairpins and ornaments from her head, and then took out an object from his sleeve and gently put it into her hair.
The bronze mirror was not very clear; Li Yunyan could only make out that it was a hairpin.
She turned her head, glanced at him, and under his gentle gaze, curiously removed the hairpin from her hair.
It was a pure white jade hairpin.
The jade hairpin is of excellent quality, warm to the touch, and exquisitely carved. At the top of the hairpin, a blooming pear blossom is also carved.
As if sensing something, Li Yunyan looked towards the tail of the pear blossom.
A small character for "wind" suddenly appeared before her eyes.
She looked surprised and then looked up at him.
"Husband, this word?"
Sang Shijing smiled gently and tenderly, "This is the courtesy name I gave myself, and only my family knows it."
Li Yunyan looked at him intently and asked, "Why did you choose this name for yourself, my husband?"
He pulled her into his arms and whispered, "Before, I could only live in this attic. I longed for the outside world, but I could only hear its sounds. The sounds of wind, rain, thunder, and lightning—I loved the sound of the wind the most."
"The sound of the wind."
Li Yunyan murmured, reaching out to hug his waist, "Thank you, my husband, I like it very much!"
Sang Shijing looked down at the top of her soft hair, then picked her up horizontally.
Gently place her on the bed.
His voice was gentle and restrained. Looking into her eyes, he slowly said, "Yanyan, it's getting late. Let's go to bed!"
Li Yunyan looked at him shyly and gave a soft "hmm".
The bright red bed curtains fell, and a slender body, carrying the fragrance of bamboo, covered her.
He first kissed her gently, and after she got used to it, he slowly increased the pressure.
This kiss was different from the usual cautious one; instead, it was filled with deep longing and love, swiftly engulfing her.
Li Yunyan immediately reached out and wrapped her arms tightly around his neck, shyly returning the kiss.
Gradually, their clothes came off, and Li Yunyan's soft, boneless hand caressed his already muscular chest.
It's unbelievable that in just over two months, he has developed some light chest and abdominal muscles!
Just a few months ago, he was so thin that he looked like a gust of wind could blow him over!
Is this the joy of nurturing a character?
Her fingers excitedly traced his lines, every single one of which he had honed for himself!
Sang Shijing's breath was hot, feeling her igniting his desire, his hands roaming restrainedly over her body. He desperately suppressed his urgency, afraid that it would frighten her.
Li Yunyan felt as if she were floating on clouds. His every move was extremely considerate of her feelings, making her first experience particularly wonderful!
two......
three......
Li Yunyan had no choice but to call for a halt!
"My husband, you have just recovered from a serious illness, you must not overexert yourself!"
His voice was low and hoarse, "Yanyan...it's alright! I know my own body..."
Li Yunyan hadn't stayed up all night like this in a long time, and she was so tired that she had no strength left.
When Sang Shijing woke up the next day, he was already up.
He was dressed in plain clothes, holding a book in his hands, and sitting by the window not far from the bed.
He lowered his head slightly, and the dappled sunlight, like golden threads, filtered through the dense leaves and through the half-open window, gently falling on him.
The dappled light and shadow, like a natural painting, enveloped his entire being.
This radiance not only illuminated his body but also highlighted his innate, refined temperament and calm demeanor. His figure was tall and upright, like a bamboo that had weathered storms yet remained steadfast; his face had distinct features, soft and smooth lines, and every detail exuded a unique charm.
A gentleman as beautiful as jade, unparalleled in the world.
Li Yunyan was captivated by the sight.
Not long after, Sang Shijing looked in her direction. Seeing that she had woken up, he smiled, put down his book, and walked towards her.
He sat on the edge of the bed, placed his hand on her face, his eyes filled with tender love, "Yanyan, you're awake."
Li Yunyan sat up and snuggled into his arms affectionately, her voice soft and sweet, "Husband, did I oversleep?"
"No, I just got up early!"
He pulled her into his arms and said gently, "I've gotten into the habit of getting up early to practice martial arts lately, thankfully I didn't wake you."
"Husband, don't worry about waking me up, I'm a very heavy sleeper!"
Sang Shijing thought of how she used to hug him so tenderly when he woke up early in the morning, and his heart softened.
The smile deepened. "Yes, she's sleeping very soundly!"
The newlyweds were inseparable.
The two hugged tightly for a while longer before Li Yunyan blushed and moved slightly, saying, "Husband, I need to wash up!"
Sang Shijing coughed lightly: "Okay!"
As soon as Li Yunyan stepped onto the ground, her legs went weak, and she slumped to the side. Fortunately, Sang Shijing caught her and pulled her back.
Li Yunyan breathed a sigh of relief. Thank goodness, she almost embarrassed herself!
Sang Shijing's ears turned red, and he apologized in a low voice, "Yanyan, it's my fault, I was too reckless!"
Li Yunyan's face also turned red, and she decided to take this opportunity to teach him a lesson.
"Then from now on, cough, don't be greedy!"
"Alright, I understand!"
Seeing how obedient he was, Li Yunyan smiled with satisfaction, gave him a quick kiss on the cheek, and then slowly stood up and walked behind the screen.
After washing up, Li Yunyan summoned Lanxin, the maid downstairs, to comb her hair.
She wore only the white jade hairpin that Sang Shijing had given her the night before. She looked at herself in the mirror, stroked the hairpin, turned around, and asked Sang Shijing, "Husband, does it look good?"
Sang Shijing's gaze lingered on her face before moving to the top of her head. He raised his hand and gently stroked the blooming pear blossom.
"It's very beautiful!"
"My Yanyan is the prettiest!"
The two looked at each other and smiled.
The two had breakfast together before going to pay their respects to Madam Jiang.
Li Yunyan and Jiang Shi were already quite familiar with each other. After serving her daughter-in-law tea, she addressed her as "Mother".
Jiang gave her a generous gift, then patted her hand and said, "Good Yan'er, you have no idea how much your mother missed you while you were away from the Sang family to the Li family! I'm so glad you're back!"
"Mother, I miss you very much!"
Jiang glanced at her son, whose eyes were always on his daughter-in-law, and teased, "You just miss your mother, don't you?"
