Mother Shen slammed her hand on the table, hurting her palm in the process.
She clenched her fists and gritted her teeth, "You, Li Yunyan! How dare you be two-faced! I didn't allow you to use maids because I didn't want you to bring the stench of money from your merchant family into the Shen family. It was for your own good!"
Li Yunyan looked around, her gaze falling on the four maids and Granny Lin in the room, then on Mother Shen, the meaning of which was self-evident.
Double standards!
Mother Shen understood, and in a fit of rage, smashed a teacup over with a "smash!"
With a gentle kick, the cup shattered at Shen's mother's feet, splashing water onto her skirt.
It's all the same old tricks...
She gasped softly, patting her chest, "Oh! What just flew by? It gave me quite a fright!"
Mother Shen stared incredulously at the porcelain shards at her feet.
